GORGEOUS. TY FOR SHARING YOUR TALENTS ! : } I MADE SIMILAR, USING ROLLED PAPER "TUBES", ROLLED AROUND A 12 INCH DOWEL...GLUED AS I WENT...THEN FLATTENED THE TUBES BETWEEN 2 PIECES OF PARCHMENT AFTER COATING "TUBES" WITH THIN COAT OF WHiTE GLUE. : } I USED 2 "INVERTED" COOKIE SHEETS AND WEIGHTED WITH NESTED STOCK POTS FROM KITCHEN ! LOL PROJECT WAS WITH/FOR MY KIDS TO ENJOY, AS WE WERE "DIRT" POOR & NEIGHBORS ALWAYS GAVE ME THEIR NEWSPAPERS ! I PAINTED & GLITTERED THE SNOW~FLAKES.
I just watch your video I want toske several different sizes & hang them to make a Christmas tree. Where can I find the reeds & also I saw a review where she said something about attaching lights to it, how do you do that? Thanks DianeForsyth
Thank you so much for your patience, sorry to get back to you so late! I personally recommend cutting 10 pieces of 3/8" thick reed 12 to 13 inches long. You can also go with 1/2" thick reed cut 16 to 18 inches long, or You can use 5/8" thick reed cut 20 to 24 inches long! The most important part is that they are marked in the center and that all of them are exactly the same length so it depends on the size of the star you want. Also, do not use floppy or soft material! I'll include this in the description of the video as well. Thank you for reaching out! -Gin

Reed comes in a variety of thicknesses that we have nocontrol over, For width 3/8' or 1/2" are nice 7/8" cut 28" long makes one big star!
