The best thing about this cover is the fact he didn't try do it 1:1. He made it his own and put a spin on it we haven't heard before.
While still staying true to the feel of the original. He made it his own, without changing it to the point of being unrecognizable. I can respect that.
That's the point of a cover is to do it your own way, otherwise you're just trying to replicate the original

People didn't like T pain because they thought he was relying on autotune to make hits when in reality he was using autotune to keep himself at bay. T pain is an amazing singer he just doesn't do it often, I would buy an entire album of him doing Ozzy covers because his voice is similar but noticeably different and it's his own.

Check out Faith No More’s cover of War Pigs. It’s the best cover I’ve ever heard of this song. T-Pain did it justice too though…I wasn’t expecting it to hit so hard.

I thought it was weird af when he randomly showed up to a drift event I was in. It wasn’t a pro circuit, it’s part of the drift kickers season but he’s always doing things you wouldn’t expect of him
