Best welding channel on UA-cam. Thank you, HAGOJIBI, for freely sharing your knowledge and experience! I never fail to learn something from watching your videos. Salute!
@@descargaelbano I would agree. Meant no disrespect to Jody. He and HAGOJIBI have forgotten more about welding than I will ever know. Couldn't have better teachers or mentors than these two. I could watch them weld for days.
The key is to keep gas flow laminar and wide. High gas flow results in air getting pulled in from the side and mixing with the shielding gas turbulently. For that reason, keep nozzle big, gas flow low and use a gas mesh. Set plenty of pre-flow time of the gas so the gas flow pattern can stabilize before welding starts. You could also stabilize the shielding gas cover by making an enclosure that fits the geometry of the welding area and introducing shielding gas through a nozzle on there.
Bonne continuation
It's a real pleasure to watch your videos, and above all, they are very detailed, which helps us, who are beginners in the world of welding, a lot to familiarize ourselves with the basics of work.
The only person on youtube that shows a proper insight of how to weld properly, Tip use another gas line to purge gas into the tight area's if you don't have a good selection of shrouds.
I’ve never seen a nozzle like that which you used. I have however used a miniature torch head in tight situations like that. The nozzle is 5 mm diameter the whole torch head is only 30 mm in size. I used it to weld two V8 engines together to make a V16 engine for an American Hot Rod Street machine. The engine even received plenty of media attention when it was completed. It was designed by an engineer from Marcopolo
Or the other way--- I used to get a diamond tip cutter form the grinding department and cut mu gas shrouds at angles to fit the gaps ( or get them to cut if it was the grumpy git ) 👍❤
Thanks! Kiitos!
Good video. I like the music in the back. But they all don’t look like the good bead we want! So we just gotta send it and get it done, that’s a tight ass corner
This is quite an interesting example of turbulent gas mixing with air because of the venturi effect, where the higher speed of the gas with the lower nozzle creates a lot of turbulence that picks up air because of lower pressure generated by the venturi effect. Counterintuitive, but it's something more skilled welders learn over time with experience, while not fully knowing the details. Learning why something happens helps to better prepare for other issues as well. :)
We used to take our ceramics to the grind shop and ask to run a diamond blade over them to get any angle we needed saved alot of set up time and worked all time
For situations like this, I usually use a backing shield for the inside of the tight angle, bevel the mating surfaces, and do a complete joint penetration weld. If the inside needs a weld for reinforcement purposes, when practical I machine a block of material to fit on the inside of the corner and weld that into position with the first pass of the CJP joint as if it were a backing strip before fully welding it from the other side.
*As codes allow, of course. For most things it won't really matter how you do it, but for certain applications joints like this are to be avoided in certain codes, which may have joint design stipulations as to what is permitted for manufacture.

Between watching Hagojibi and Jody at "Welding Tips and Tricks", one can't go wrong in their quest for learning to master tig welding.

Is this just turbulence or is it pulling air like a venturi effect type of thing? Sorry, I'm new to TIG welding. Thanks.
@@xylosfurniture Both effects probably happen to some degree. You can never really know because the gas is invisible.
This is all good tips and information. Thank you 👍
Great work sir, thank you for sharing your terrific skills with us, a generous man.
Why do I watch these videos at 3am? I'm not even welding.

Explained so well language isn't a barrier. Subtitles just confirmed your demonstration
Thank you Master Welder. 🙇🏼♂️
Just started tig welding in college last week, these videos are so helpful! Thank you so much, please keep posting!
Always good to have a tip ,,, especially for tight corners , like most here , Ive been in a few of them.
Eu não perco uma aula do HAGOJIBI ..

Tip use another gas line to purge gas into the tight area's if you don't have a good selection of shrouds.
I thought you might weld with the small long cup with lowered gas pressure to see if that works the best. 👍🏼

All this just to show a gas lens is better than standard.

Nice job getting in deep. Thanks
Thank you for very useful video!!!!!

Ciekawy film i wyjaśnienie wpływu gazu.

Like from the moment!
few mistakes...on that 11mm nozzle you made mistake of leaving high gas flow...you should have put it down to 6l...smaller nozzle lower gas flow

What was the gas flow on these three welds? Hard to read the gauge. More than 20 liters per minute?

Hi from France, and thanks a lot for all your good advice. Your videos are as clean as your welds, always a pleasure to watch.

this is wonderful, thank you so much from Florida, USA...Paul
All those welds look better than what I can do even on a flat plate.

Love your practical vids with explanations. It would be nice to see pros and cons of Jumbo lenses for large cups.
Increasing gas flow. Very obvious. It's just a case of me never having thought of it.
Thank you, Mylord !!
Muy buena su información
Saludos desde Argentina

Turn the preflow up but keep cfh low for small cups. Would that work or waste too much gas?
A gas lens helps, trapping Argon does as well. Higher gas flow can actually draw in atmosphere
Thanks for giving good idea 💡❤️
Hello, is this information also useful when doing MAG welding?
good👏👏👏

Thx good video .
Impressive 👌💯🍀…. Excellent videos, keep up the good work 🥇
Great video but welding with rubber gloves??? 🤔
Excellent sir! thank you!
weld wasn't in the root of the joint?
Hi great trick what amp and gas flow setting for car panel thickness of electro cup size will be great help
Very interesting! Thank you!
