Thank you so much! Your presentation is so comprehensive and nuanced yet highly accessible. You don't just show the WHAT and HOW, you also articulate the WHY so listeners can apply the principles you're sharing to other projects. You also have such lovely elocution. If i didn't know better, I'd think you had a background in theater, public speaking, broadcast media, or some other voice-centric vocation!
You are just so amazing and inspiring and humble! I have been watching your videos for months now, and as a brand new chalk painter, you just give me so much confidence! I love how you are so forgiving with mistakes especially. I made big mistakes with my first few pieces and it was just so frustrating I wanted to walk away. But now I have your voice in my head saying "It's ok! Just play!" Thank you for your warmth, you patience and your excellent teaching skills. This piece looks fabulous!!! Many thanks!! Jeanette
Jeanette Roknian ... thank you so much Jeanette for your thoughtful comment and yes, it’s a fun experience, you are meant to have have fun! I made mistakes too! But I always tell myself that it’s fine, try again and paint over what I don’t like! If I am trying a new technique or colour design that I am not sure 🤔 if it will look right? I try a a side or a small section and if I don’t like it , just paint over it and try something else 🤗💙
I just found your video here and it is saving me a lot of work and concern about a couple of plant stands I'm refinishing. Thank you so much for addressing so many areas of the refinish process with multiple products. You are helpful!
Excellent work. The attention to detail is SO APPRECIATED. Lot's of on line chalk paint tutorials are WAY TOO SLOPPY. Who wants to buy refinished furniture that is all goopy on the inside etc? Anything worthwhile takes time.
Hi Christina ! Beautiful video once again ! The metallic paint isn’t my thing, but I love seeing the techniques - I have been learning a lot from you - TYFS !
Melody ... thank you so much Melody for your kind comment 🙏💙🎨 I am not a huge fan of all over metallic paint but to use for accents and fun effects it was fun to give it a try! 👍🏻
The Reclaimed Heirloom I paint a lot more decor items than furniture - sconces, mirrors, fleur de lis, frames, clocks, that type of thing - do you do that also & if so, could you show us some techniques for decorative items
Good morning I followed your advice on my cabinet it took me 2 weeks to finish and to get to grips with glaze but wow it makes furniture look great thanks ever so much for the vlogs and answering questions 😊
I always look forward to watching your videos. You are super talented and make it look so easy. I always watch your videos before I start painting for confidence! Thanks

Hi Cristi, I really liked it, it was very nice, I love metal, I hope you keep doing more things with metal, I love it! 😍 Congratulations on this project! 👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻😘
Just beautiful! I have been redoing my office desk and I used the techniques and copper metallic paint! Also I finished my vanity and mirror with the verdigris and stone finish. I had a lot of fun with the ragging, and sponging techniques. Next is the vanity stool...paint and reupholster. I was born and raised in New York city so this is my LADY LIBERTY VANITY! in honor and inspiration of the infamous STATUE OF LIBERTY! I will send you pictures to your email. This is another brilliant tutorial! I haven’t used the Annie Sloan Lacquer only the waxes but it looks so beautiful! Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge!😀
Fran Wall ... thank you so much Fran for your thoughtful comment 🙏💙 Lacquer is so easy and fast 💨 as well as extremely durable! Dry super quickly and doesn’t not smell or at least the water base products ☺️
HI Simone!! Welcome to my channel!!! So happy to hear you enjoyed my tutorial!! If you have any questions just drop me a message in the comments section. ❤️🎨🙏
I am so loving this technique! And No, it didn't turn out to sparkly plenty of the old world charm. The pulls really added to this piece ❤ I am getting more curious about the pearl/metallics. You hit this one out of the ball park! Some times I think you read my mind🤔 . . Lol Thank you for sharing your talent, you're amazing🥰👏👏👏
WOW I can’t believe it !! I literally have this exact I mean exact desk I just went and got out of my storage that I had stripped n sanded all down then wasn’t sure what I wanted to do with it paint wise lol,, 😂 I do this a lot start n either get bored or just haven’t seen a vision of what I want it to be so I will pull n start something else or get a custom order. But I went to get this out because my son had said did I by any chance have a desk in my stash that he can put in his room ? Of course I do I told him haha my husband said well that was a dumb question obviously just joking but this is exactly what I had in mind for it exact I just wasn’t sure what all products I should use n the best techniques to use to get this exact look. I’ve done many similar but just not as detailed with the texture, dimension, blown out layered patina look that you just made look so easy. I am going to attempt it please wish me luck I really will be happy if it turns out somehow close to yours 😜 once again thank you for teaching me n inspiring me to take on the challenge..

uGGHHH!!!!! i soooo love your channel. I wonder your thoughts on doing light wash over dark paint or a dark wash over lighter color paint?? can you do both? does it matter??
Billi Blaze ... thank you so much for your thoughtful comment 🙏💙 You can definitely do light wash over dark colour paint 🎨!! I sometimes practice using cardboard to see how the colour washes look, it helps decide which I prefer but you can do either or!
I really enjoy your videos. They are well made. I was wondering where you got your hardware and if you had the link to them. I'm looking for some just like it. Thank you
thank you so much for your comment Nathy! I purchased the hardware from a privately owned shop so I unfortunately don't have a direct link but I would search the word " index card hardware" or something similar on amazon and I am sure you will find them 😉❤️
With your washes on such dry wood, is it protected from premature drying by the base coat, or do you have to work in small areas quickly because chalk absorbs water quickly?
Love the finished l◕‿◕k of the desk. I also love the typewriter. What brand is the typewriter? I have type on several manuals before. An Olivetti, Remington, Royal, Smith Corona, and Underwood Typewriter. Thanks for sharing.
Verlene Howard .. thank you so much Verlene for your kind comment and yes the typewriter is a Royal 👑 I love antique pieces and this typewriter still works perfectly ☺️👍🏻
great video, thank you! always so overwhelmed by mediums and shocked it isnt easier to find "cheat sheet" diagrams for how they work (ie whats okay to mix with say tung oil, and what must be done before vs after...was all so much easier with traditional visual art between acrylic/oil). i guess not everyone compulsively mixes mediums like i do. Questions if u see this-- is there no metallic CHALK paint (contradiction?), for say doing a full base coat in gold? And would it have theoretically been okay to use the wax on top of the oil based stain on top after dry or.... Thanks for much for the great content, def following
