ABOUT
Hazzerd was formed by Drummer/Vocalist Dylan W. and Guitarist Brendan M. in August of 2012 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The two muscians jammed together a few times before realizing they had something good going. They agreed to join up and form an 80's styled thrash metal band closely following the roots of thrash legends such as Megadeth, Anthrax, Overkill, and Metallica.
Hazzerd released the "Victimize The Innocent" EP in September 2014. it received good reviews and praise from fans alike.
In December 2016 Hazzerd parted ways with Aaron M. and was replaced by David S. Now they are back stronger, and better than ever releasing their debut album "Misleading Evil"
Hazzerd went through several band members until Brendan and Dylan finally found the best line up in their eyes.

I've been pretty apprehensive when it comes to listening to newer stuff, but damn if this isn't great! The riffs, the vocals, and that album cover brings it all together.
This is the kind of stuff that gives me hope for modern bands.

Wow, simply fantastic thrash. What a great thrash vocalist. This could have came out in the 80's!! Yes i am a old 45yr old thrasher.
You know what, these guys aren't bad. All the ones I've found either have great music but shit vocals or vice versa but these I like overall. They seem to have the production tuned in similar to Rust in Peace which is probably my favourite album. Not totally raw but not overproduced if you know what I mean?

I think he refers to this (check the first song, it's just normal sounds/noises). I really hate when bands put intros.

Intros with whispering winds, atmospheric sounds, acoustic guitars, voices, psalms, chains, effects, etc, usually 50 sec - 1 min long. You know what i mean, all the cliche stuff ;-)
Barnaby Joe I usually don't mind them if they are done right and aren't too long. But yeah the quiet sort of intro can be pretty annoying.

2019 Wacken open air. At 3 am in the morning on the campsite. Drunk as fuck i put the tracks Misleading evil + The Fallen on. Straight headbanging to almost 13 mintues of godlike guitar and drums. It was only time i had someone genuinely asking me who the band was so they could look them up.

Man it's albums like this, Freakings, and Ravenger that are so underrated now a days. Popular thrash pales in comparison to these guys. Such an amazing time for music... But then again every era is amazing if you know where to look but right now we got new Thrash and Synthwave so shits lit.

Bravo to my new friends @ Hazzerd. Reminds of the good old days of 80's thrash metal. Usually when I test out new bands, I listen to short sound clips from random sounds. But, somehow, I was intrigued to listen to the whole length of this album. Nailed the guitar tone, Bass, sound of the snare and times and did a really good job with vocals. Hope to hear a lot more from this talented band. Robby D!
