I wanted to correct my friend's Jeep Gladiator for his larger tire size so that his speedometer would be correct. I also wanted to see if there were any differences after installing the Tazer JL on my Wrangler and now a Gladiator.

Great video thanks brother
I’m gonna install mine tomorrow 😊thank you
Ok. This is fun. I just picked up my Tazer mini for my Gladiator at Fedx yesterday and boom! a install video pops up! Casey next thing you know our periods are going to sync...🤪
Lol weird but lol
Nice video!
I am curious if the tazer works on a sport model. I do not have that big of a screen in the gauge cluster
I have a 2019 wrangler Rubicon that come stock with 33’s do I have to upgrade the rear end to put 35’s on ,
I have the new 2ltr turbo
Thanks
Is there a way to calibrate without using the Tazer? Just for tire size adjustment, I don't want to install an after market module. Heard things like battery drain, etc.
How do you fix mpg error after tazer the speedometer
Hey casey, great video, tnx.
Questions have you considered an oil catch can for the diesel?
Can you look into it? Does this engine need one would it benefit greatly down the road, from having one?
I have not.
Hey Casey! Love the video
I was wondering if you could do a video about radios, I just ordered a diesel Rubicon myself and looking to get into more 4x4 in the near future. I live in BC as well and just wondering what kind of comms you're running. I've been doing research on them for a while, but there's a lot of competing information. So I'm wondering what you find works best for you or what you'd recommend for things like active logging road communications and etiquette, stuff like that!
Keep up the good work man!
Communications is a touchy subject with vhf being very popular and alot of people being unlicensed. The process for obtaining a license is excessive and over complicated for basic usage. Because of that it isn't a topic I am ready to cover on the channel. 4wd association of bc Facebook has some good resources on the topic too.
@@Casey250 oh, interesting. That's good to know and explains why find info can be difficult.
But I understand for sure! I'll check out that page though, thanks!
@@slick.adventures get your amateur radio license to be legal then grab a VHF radio and every run I've ever been on has been using 146.460. I don't mind the licensing requirements but I agree with Casey the test to get your license is nontrivial and excessive considering most peoples usage. I'm not sure if you can even take a test at the moment as mine was in a classroom.
I am using tazer mini and if i'm vehicle info dashboard the jeep image with all tires showing tires pressure is not showing in dashboard, What setting in tazer mini that i need to do? 2019 jeep wrangler sport jl
I put 37s on 2021 gladiator jl mini didnt wk any ideas
I got a 2022 gladiator sport and bought this device to fix the speedometer but it’s not fixed I went from stock to 20x35/12.5 and going from gear 7 to 8 I have to do it manually bcuz the rpm would just skyrocket. And I changed my gear to 4.556 now I want to go buck to stock gear. Does anyone know what the stock gear number is?
Does it void the warranty?
New to the island any recommendations for some moderate off roading for a stock 2019 rubicon wrangler
Thanks

Did I miss it or did you go through tire set? Lol. Thought that was the video title.
Great informative video Casey I plan on ordering my Tazer JL Mini shortly. In the meantime I fixed my Autopark stop feature for less than $5 I found a seat belt insert on Amazon that solve the problem. As long as the seat belt receiver has the $5 insert (that 2nd as a bottle opener) I don't need to worry about my Jeep slamming into Park anymore why they would put that on a Wrangler I'm not sure it belongs on the Cherokee, Durango, Renegade Etc
I'll give credit to the engineers they are listening do the Wrangler off-road enthusiasts I think that's why they allowed things like setting your PSI Tire parameters and enabling Lockers in 2 wheel Drive on the Gladiator just wish they would have done it on the Wrangler but the JL Mini take care of that
Ive seen that fix too but I am hesitant to reccomend after market solutions on the channel that impact something so critical as a safety belt.
@@Casey250 critical by today's standards... or those that make decisions for us, like today we are forced to wear masks, and shut down every foreseeable form of entertainment the border between us and told to stay in our home. Spent my youth riding in the back of my dad's pickup with my friends can't tell you what a thrill that was as a young man, and the third row seat that faced backwards in the family station wagon, was is loads of fun, seat belts we're an option, and I survived so did all my siblings and my friends, a lot of things save lives but a lot of things make our lives memorable, enjoyable. This imposed safety feature is one more thing that takes it away it is what I miss most about giving up my JK. One thing for sure my seat belt fix won't cause a dead battery like the Tazer JL just might.
so then what changes when the doors are taken off? i would assume auto park would not be enabled then.
Correct
I haven't found one of these that didnt give me an error code for my 6 speed manual 2020 Gladiator Rubicon.
Error code is for the Start Stop
GREAT VIDEO CASEY!!! Do you see any reason to get the JL over the Mini? ( Do they call it lite?) I trailer my JL a lot and I need to open the door to position the Jeep on the trailer just right so that auto park is a real PIA. KEEP THESE GREAT VIDEOS COMING. SKIP
I believe the lite is limited to minor configuration like tire size adjustment only.
what is affected by having the security gateway module unplugged?
Nothing that I have uncovered yet.
Auto park can be disabled if the driver door is just unplugged... It's annoy but that's the only fix I got
How does the auto park feature work with the doors off?
Computer disables auto park when doors disconnected
Just need to find a way to trick the computer into thinking the doors are always off
If the auto park feature only disables when your in four low, what happens when you remove the doors?
Also disables.
@@Casey250 well I guess thats one thing they thought of
There is new firmware update in taper mini jl 11.2.6 beta 7.
Did update this new version?
Also after update to new firmware
abs and brake light came on and can't drive. How can I turn off this feature?
I will have to check it out. I need to see what version I am at. I've heard there were some fixes that the last uconnect update broke.
How does this effect the warranty? Do dealers give you any trouble if you go in a check engine light?
Unmarry it and disconnect it if your worried. To the best of my research it isn't detectable if it has been removed.
Casey 250 sweet, thanks!
I imagine it might vary by dealer but thx for the info
I live in Crapifornia also known as Komifornia . Ive taken my JL to get the tires rotated and the first thing they do is pop that cover. I asked why they do that, there response, if they see anything altered they won’t even touch the vehicle.
Everyone needs to read the Magnussen-Moss warranty law. Google it. Ram dealer tried to deny my catalyst claim because I had Cat back flowmasters. They lost.
Once I calibrate the speedometer can i take it off
Yes
Once you get the settings done, do you leave the Tazer plugged in?
I do for the Live settings.
@@Casey250 thanks!!! If I did have to get serviced at dealer, would it be best to unmarry and remove?
@Andrew Wilson I always do.
Is he still running his JT at stock height? How’s he like the tires?
It has front levelling pucks. Its good but it needs a lift for any major wheeling but it has been on several adventures.
I’m looking for a temporary fix so I can do the build in 2 steps. It’ll be up on a 3.5” lift, just want to do rims/tires first to figure out gearing, then lift in the spring
I suggest you look into JScan app, only about 65 dollars in investment (safety gateway bypass, OBD bluetooth receiver, $25 per user per app). I have Tazer on my Jeep, but I would recommend JScan for all my friends that haven't purchased a programmer yet.
Easiest way to disable the Auto Park feature is to get a manual transmission.
I suppose
