Cool video, I might have to open the cup too as the micro-usb connector seems loose. For now I've rigged the cable to stay in the precise place where it makes connection with couple of rubber bands.
1:29min show microusb port on separate board so you may open headphones and get this board and in any repair service they will be able solder a new port

I've had to use my evo zxr through the Analog plug because after about 6 months the battery died and I read this is a common problem with the evo headsets

I am facing with a problem, and I think it's related with the micro-usb in connectivity problem. When I plug in the micro usb cable to the headphones, and it makes a strange electronic noise in the right headphone like ''bzzz''. Do you think is there any particular solution for that to replace the micro usb-in on the microchip ? I look forward to receive your good news because with the information you'll provide, I'll open it and try to find a solution.
@@frankie8525 I would check microusb port in headphones, if all pins on places and not broken. If all correct and headphones were not filled with liquid that can be a battery problem, I would check 1. usb port 2. check battery in headphones if it not swelled up and no any corrosion

Nice video. My own headset's battery has died already. I have no other issue, yet it has made my headset basically useless, since i need to use it on PC while chatting. However, if i plug it in my sound card with 3.5mm jacks, the microphone sounds horribly awful since it's super quiet and needs a full boost to be heard. Got any ideas on what i can do? First of all, can i possibly replace the battery? Is there any store that offers them? Assuming that's almost impossible to do, do u know of any other way to make this headset's mic usable? My sound card is of the same brand (sound blaster Z). Also if anyone else sees this and had a similar problem but found a solution, kindly let me know. Thx in advance.
@@samlow9077 I've got the new battery (it's half the capacity) but I can't remove the old one. It seems glued in its place. It also seems enlarged but then it's been 10 years. Anyways. How do I remove it without breaking the circuit it is glued on?

@@samlow9077 And it doesn't charge properly, and when I disconnect it from cable, it says 70 percent charged and suddenly drops to 30%
