You already have the M800 or M900 on the drawing board. That is the model that will sell best. Everyone who can afford to run the M700 can afford to run the M900. Do not settle for second place.Everyone prefers to buy from U.S. manufacture. Good luck1

Lessee...a cabin half the size of the PC-12, 10% smaller than the Epic E-1000 and 30 knots slower than the TBM 850. And a reported price tag higher than the Epic and TBM. The Epic has an 1,100 pound full fuel payload while the Piper has just a 565 pound payload with full fuel. You can fill the seats in the Epic and go from Burbank to Chicago with reserves; with all seats filled, the Piper will barely make Denver. I can't see the value for money in this plane. Better to buy a used Epic and save $2 million, or a clean low hour TBM 700 and save close to $3 m.
@@htschmerdtz4465 Very well said, the M600 SLS looked appealing until on a whim I took a look at useful load with full fuel and immediately understood why it was cheaper than its TBM equivalent. Who buys the Meridian series is a genuine question I now have.
The Meridian/M 600 series were always reasonably solid performers, but nothing really stand-out except they were considerably cheaper than the competition. Not anymore. I used the new list price quoted on Flying Magazine and the M 700 starts around $4.1 m, and can option up above $4.4 mil. That's in the price range of superior aircraft like the Epic and the TBM. I fly my Mooney 231 between the grandchildren in Tacoma to San Luis Obispo non-stop in 4.5 hours at 17,500'. The M 700 could get the job done at FL 280 in about 3.3 hours. My cabin load is usually two and bags, so range wouldn't be a problem with either airplane, but the M 700 will cost four times as much to operate on an hourly basis, not including the $30,000 monthly loan payments on a 4.3 megabuck plane. I don't have a loan on my Mooney, so add $3,000/hour to the $475/hour it will cost to operate the M 700. That's a crazy 27 x more expensive per hour to operate. Yes, I have to set aside $60k to replace my engine when the time comes, but that's a far cry from the $375k it costs to major a PT6. Oh well, if you have to ask... --goes the old saying.

So yall finally made a competitor for the TBM series like, 30 years later? Why the hell would anybody buy this over a TBM960 or an E1000GX? It's in the exact same price range with like 200 less HP
Congratulations to Piper. I was surprised they didn’t come out with additional changes. Besides the engine swap to the -52. Although I think it’s great, sure would’ve been helpful to increase the baggage limitation from only 100 pounds. Also, maybe making front external baggage compartment and increasing the pressure differential so that the cabin altitude is under 10k at its ceiling. Not sure what they mean by less than $1 million than its nearest competitor when the vision Jet costs less than the M700 at $3.8m and the Epic is about $500k more.

You need to be a Yoga Teacher to get into the front seat of these things, let alone you're chances in case of Fire / Emergency to get out in time... SHAME !!! It's such a slick looking fast airplane, amazing but who's gonna spend millions on a plane and not even get a proper pilot DOOR to enter (and EXIT it in case of emergency) 😪😪😲😲
Wow. Only 30 knots slower than a TBM940? Only 1,500 ft/min less than a TBM 940.? Only 500 miles less range than a TBM940? Granted only needs 700 hp where the TBM uses 850 . For about the same cost? Nearly there, Piper.
Didn’t address the primary weakness of the design; limited payload capacity. Yes, it’s faster now, still slower than its primary competitor, the Cirrus Jet. For most of us that are looking at SETP cabin class, the TBM and E1000GX are faster, roomier, longer range and twice the payload capacity. Yes, >$1M for costly but at this range, price is not a big issue. If I were limited to this price, I’d choose a used TBM 850 or 900 over this machine but i do typically fly w/2 60lb dogs, 2 cats, and minimum 2 passengers plus luggage.

Nah. The Malibu is an older design. This is just an evolution of the turbine Malibu. TBM has a younger design legacy.

3 points To get better in that thing of 3.8 Million - First interior espace for all people passengers and crew ITS horrible so Second wheres toalete and diferential cabin altitude...almost 10. Thousand when flying in Max Cruise levei - unceptable. ITS too high ladies and gentleman...your body Will sufer and one crew member ITS not a good Idea NEVER.
