@@Fikoj bugs was alr for me, a bit boring actually because the most fun I have was using a flamethrower(which wears out surprisingly quick), I understand people struggling with its nerf but honestly I’m too simple minded in my fun to have actually noticed the nerf lol The only thing I noticed was that I wasn’t able to matador-kill a charger with it any more(matador-killing is just dodge, burn, repeat, typically took some like 3 full tanks to kill a charger), but even before the nerf, the flamethrower was hot ass killing chargers, it was also hot ass killing stalkers(which according to some players, it was superb at melting the bastards, again, pre-nerf), which I always carried my breaker for, then I used my grenade pistol for nests, and had orbital laser and rail cannon for the chargers and titans Even after the buffs, it’s still as hot ass as I remember against stalkers, mfers still treat my flame like it’s a candlelight But real fun was raining grenades on bots, the auto cannon is fun, but it’s got severely limited ammo as you can’t equip the ammo pack(unless you got a friend to wear the AC ammo while you carry AP to resupply them as they reload you), so I ran GL with my usual breaker and G. Pistol, and with a OL and RC for the hulks and striders, it was fun to beat rocket devastators at their own game and blast them to bits, two bodyshots is what it took to kill those bastards, and it had enough Armor P. To ignore a shield devastator’s shield My only blight with the new update is that striders are built tougher now(or did they give’em an armor boost on higher difficulties?) because before you just had to hit the faceplate or undercarriage/legs to take’em out with a single grenade, now you gotta hit the eyeslot or undercarriage for a clean kill
I would be disappointed if they didn’t, their style is PERFECT for Tripods… plus I’m an avid Spear user, a big juicy target like that is what I LIVE for!
First dive ever was an extreme difficulty bot front drop because my friend forgot that was my first time playing. So after weeks of extreme difficulty bot front fighting, when i eventually went to the bug front i thought i felt like i was on paid vacation

Don't get me wrong, I've got nothing but respect for bugdivers. But bot front missions are less missions and more of a constant tactical retreat through objectives.
I've exclusively played against bots since Malevelon, but yesterday I played against bugs thinking it wouldnt be difficult only to be retraumatized by getting slapped by giant ass tentacles and constantly getting air raided by bat looking mfs

As soon as the Illuminate arrive I'm heading straight for them. I had just about enough of their shit in The First Galactic War. If they want to go for round two then I'll fucking give it to them.
I have no idea why. But for some reason it is reversed for me. When I'm fighting bots it is just an hour of stacking scrap metal from the clanks. But when i fight bugs, every second mission the enemy spawn seed decides I'm getting rushed by no less than 60 jumpers at a time
The difficult thing about bugs used to mainly be the insane amount of things that would slow you down, but they fixed that (a little too much imo. Slowing effects do basically nothing now). The bots main issue is not being able to stand up or point your gun where you’re aiming due to excessive staggering and ragdolling, and they STILL haven’t really fixed that at all yet. I’m so sick of blowing myself or friends up because I got shot just as I shoot my crossbow or recoilless rifle and my dude flails his gun to the left dramatically, or worse, points it at my feet.
Me on the terminds front: can these fucking tree's get out of the way this been the 5th 500kg bomb Me on the automatons front: there's two ships, a tank and a strider coming... must be a blitz mission

I tried to climb into an exosuit with a rover backpack hoping it would take care of the smaller bugs so I don't have to waste my ammo. The rover then proceeded to just sit on the mech and do nothing. That was a disappointment, like at least let a divers climb on top of the hull so I can carry passengers
possible hot take. at the higher difficulties, bots are a lot easier to deal with always taking cover, target prioritization, and understanding positioning will get you really far with the bugs it's just an overwhelming zerg rush
I'm gonna be real, I find terminids harder than automatons most of the time. Bots don't swarm around you the way bugs do, and it's easier to ignore the little fuckers to deal with major threats. When two or three heavy bugs are on you, you might be able to fend them off, but not at the same time as the little ones. You die one way or another. Plus, stalkers are one of THE most annoying enemy types.
Imagine a csgo player conscripted to fight the Terminator. He would feel sooooo scared, knowing they could aimbot, wallhack and just 360 noscope them from a thousand meters away

I did terminids until about difficulty 5 then switched over to bots, diff 4 bots feels like diff 6 bugs. now I spam difficulty 10 bots and clear about ~1/4-3/4 of the map solo while my team struggles with a single detector. Been playing since March 2nd, got about 350 hours as of current and am a level 96 Commander. Creekers Forevaa
If only my old PC could run this. Even on low, it WOULD burst in flames. Ahhhh, to be the Helldiver......😢 BTW: Illuminate front will be a ungoddly mix of Halo Covenant(Hyper advance religous aliens) and Scrin from CnC Tiberium War(Tripods)
I honestly prefer the bots, tactics work better for me and exploiting the bots more logical combat approach makes it a lot easier that the chaos of bugs, the second an impaler pulls up its game over but something about that fog of war and hellfire of a bot battle is easier to take
I unironically find the Terminids harder to deal with in extreme difficulty than the automatons in extreme, Terminids swarm the hell out of you and then there are the hunters who one shot you if you're not careful, automatons are ranged but I find them much easier especially if I use shield backpack and railgun
Videos like this mean nothing after the Babydivers update. The game is so easy now you have to purposefully make things difficult even on the hardest difficulties.
