TYFS this video,Nancy. I've never foiled b4 & not having to heat it helps keep the cost down since I won't need to buy add'l equipment. Thank u again. I'm excited to try this
I just bought some transfer foil gel duo and I enjoyed watching your video. I wish you had run some of the duo through the mink to see if heat or pressure had the same results!
Just ordered the duo. So excited to get it. I have the big minc, but it’s a pain to take out, esp if I just want a small something foiled. I ordered a stencil Pal also. No “valleys” with that. One smooth swipe all across the stencil. Can’t remember if you have one or not. I watched Simon Hurly use it and I was sold. So many new things to play with! Great video as always! TFS!
Love simon says stamp! I find buying locally ends up as expensive most places and if not available... so many stores closing here. Love the old deco gel and want to try the duo. Many coupons online also. I agree those sheets are rather small for most card fronts. Does one cost more..
Enjoyed your comparison of the two gels and different techniques of no heat but pressure and heat with pressure. I was caught up in all your pre-printed toner designs for future foiling. I suppose you could make duplicates of your favorites using a scanner at home if you have a laser printer but also if you have access to a copy center that uses toner copy machines that would work well too. Not of course for sale just personal use. I bought some of the dual gel a couple of months ago but haven't used yet with foiling. I was wondering if it would work well with my textile toner foils I got from H&H sign company. They work great with all toner designs I've made on my laser then laminated with the foils. I even did a whole sheet of toner in black that I foiled in two halves one color of foil and another. This made two wonderful thank you cards and a couple of tags I die cut out. The whole sheet foiling at once made this wonderful plastic like coated cardstock that was super strong but cut easily with my dies. I'm going to continue to do more of that. I'm enjoying all the different ways to foil and so far I'm in love with your butterfly card with the textured silver butterflies in the stencilled back ground. That just made that card come to life. Really love it. Anyway off I go to experiment some more on my own. I don't have many stencils. So need to order a few. Thanks for sharing.
I totally get the paper hoarding. I find beautiful paper and I should just wallpaper my craft room in it so I can look at it everyday and free up space. lol. It seemed (to me) that the laminated hearts were a shinier than the other.
Hi Nancy, Thank you so much for taking the time to experiment and share a really fab and very interesting crafty tutorial I really enjoyed watching 👍 Nancy, please can u tell me if u use a different shim combination could you then use the Gemini foil press ? Once again thank u for sharing a really fab crafty tutorial love Lin 💞 🦋 p.s looking forward to Lia helping u with a crafty tutorial x
Since there's no way to comment in the other 2 videos posted recently, I shall do so here. "Ink - NYC" was supposedly uploaded twice as a livestream. Neither upload plays. There is no play button to hit. If the prominently displayed wood-mounted spider stamp hadn't been there, I wouldn't have bothered with it at all, but that's how I happened to notice that the videos simply didn't work.
I've been looking for that 6x6 pad for awhile. Is it Winter Wonderland or Enchanted Christmas? I have the other deco foil gels for foiling, gonna stay with those for now Just watched Tim Holtz latest video. The embossing glaze looks so marvelous, and tins to hold the Oxide Inks that are stackable. Coming out in February. Nice haul Nance, great items. I too have been out and about to the local craft stores, I git a great deal at Joann's, it was only for one day. But one paper pack or stack, get 2 free, and 5 bucks of your purchase of $25 or more. Been buying Copics one at a time with coupons from Michael's or Joann's. I have 22 already from a yr be ago when I began . Wish AC Moore wasn't closing, that stinks. TFS, love seeing your face everyday. Way to go. We're getting a winter storm finally. Been waiting since Christmas. Miss seeing Lias cute Lil l face also. Super great tutorial. Precise and exact for begginers, informative for seasoned foil persons. Live this video!
Miss Nancy, what's the best way to store foiled card fronts until you use them for cards? I don't want to make a small pile and then have them get scratched up!
Been waiting for more reviews on this product. Seen Jennifer Mcquire use it once and havent seen anyone else use it, cant wait for more people use this and you showed it so excited. Im with you love rubbed instead of clear stamps, wish the would make more rubber then clears. An don't like paying for shipping either. Im sorry have question what type of foil is used, the one for heat or? This is so cool, I'm gonna make some stencils with my cutting machine.
@@NancyStamps Sorry to ask another question but I love foiling but I am new to this style. I was wondering what foil you use with Art Deco Gel Duo? And is there any make that don't work with it and the embossing/cutting machine? Thank you for any help you can give me.
Nancy, I don't see the difference using matte or gloss, if it is going to be covered up anyway? BTW - thanks to your previous video, I have NO desire to get a hot foiling machine. Appreciate your trial and error.
Nancy, I've been having a hard time getting the foil to take on the banners with the MINC. I increased the heat, meh, I had a paper shim. How do you foil them? I am using CV foil.

I have other videos. Yes it is almost identical

No way!! Wow thanks for sharing your coupon, exactly why I don't order..S&H is a deciding factor!!
Thank you for posting this comparison. Would love to see what you do with the leftover foil sheet from the deco foil transfer gel duo sample.
Video is uploading now, "putting together foiled valentine's"
I'm glad I ran across your video, I was wondering just how well the foiling gel worked. Will have to add that to my next order!
Thanks for sharing this info, Nancy! ❤️
Hearts can be used for anniversaries or weddings too.
You are so patient, I appreciate your videos. Ps, I love your nails.
That’s great that you can use it with your die cutting machine. I don’t own a laminator for foiling. 👍🏻😊
Thank you for sharing, I have only ever used a 2 way glue pen for any foiling but I might give this a go. 👍

They were about the same, but I'll look again.

Yes, love it!

Hmmm, will have to work on that idea Lin. Never thought of using the Gemini Foilpress like that.

Gina K transfer foil. Link is in description. It is not Hot foil
Thank U so very much for this video !.. How long did U leave the paste to dry b4 running it through the die cutting machine ?.. 🙏🏽😘
24 hours
Awesome thank you soooo much!!!
Hi can you use a manual embossing/cutting machine as I don't have a electrical one. Thank you.
Yes

I didn't use the matte, both are glossy. :)
Does this have to be done on that black paper or can it be done on white cardstock
Good job. I need to get mine out and start foiling. :)
Nancy, I've been having a hard time getting the foil to take on the banners with the MINC. I increased the heat, meh, I had a paper shim. How do you foil them? I am using CV foil.
What heat setting are you using? I dust my banner and foil before putting them in the Minc carrier sheet. Setting #3.
@@NancyStamps Heat setting of 3 to start with. I did dust them all, the carrier sheet and the foil and the foilable.
@@pamelasertich9850 are you putting the paper shim behind the foilable or the foil?
Nancy Stamps the foilable
Do you use your paper? Would love to see some card ideas using printed paper.
The duo gel can be used with heat too?
Yes with a minc or laminator
Can you demo heidi swapp's new toner inkpads?
I will when it is released. I don't like that the ink PAD dries out so quickly and has to be replaced often.
I’m afraid of cutting the papers up. Too pretty. I framed a couple of 12x12 papers and hung them up around the house.
Hi again! Do I need a specific foil if I use the DecoArt Duo gel? I'm new to this foiling
No, either foil will work.
Do you have an actual “drying” rack?
Yes, it’s a wooden 4 card rack. I’ll show it next video
Thank you for sharing you techniques and videos. I buy my envelopes at Walmart. They have boxes of all colors.
What is your drying rack like?
It's a four tier wooden card rack. I'll show it in the next video.
What is a drying rack?
Milkitta Perez oh! Okay I know what that is! Lol. I was thinking it was some sort of new crafting thing with a warmer that I needed to discover!
My friend gave me a 4 tier card holder, it is made of wood. I lay the cards flat in it so I don't accidentally touch the wet paste.
The coupon almost covers shipping. I have to tell myself that.
Hey Nancy, You don't have any problems with using the Clorox wipes discoloring your papers or stencils?
No, I just use them to clean the paste off my stencils. They work great.
