Thank you for the tour well done. Takes me back. Every year we had our school picnics at Kennywood and we had to purchase our tickets at school. I am in my seventies now and hoping to go this summer. I use to go every year but haven't been there for sometime. We are very lucky to have such an amazing amusement park so close. Those definitely were the good old days!
I’ve been going to Kennywood almost every year since I was a baby (I’m 19) for my dads work picnics and some of the things you showed I never realized were there. I’ve never taken the time to actually walk around and see everything.
There have been even more drastic changes since I shot this video. Next time we go, I'll have to make a new walk-thru. Some areas of the park won't even be recognizable next season.
Jay Ducharme This is a great tour video. Not to many people would take the time to make a 30 minute long walk-thru. I grew up in Kennywood, went there all the time between 1988 and 2004 when I lived in Pittsburgh. I miss that place. A lot of the flat rides have been either moved or replaced with other flat rides. Are you from the Pittsburgh area, or were you just visiting?
i love this walkthrough. this was my childhood amusement park. i was wondering if i could use snippets of this video for a lyric video i’m making. i would of course link to this and credit you in my description.
Jay Ducharme upon reflection, i think i’m gunna have issues within my own video so i’ll likely just stick to stock videos. making lyric videos are tough haha, but thank you anyways.
There's a section of the ride where the car comes to a complete stop at a wall filled with targets so that you have a chance to shoot them all. Then the car backs up and continues on its way. Is that what happened or did the ride break down?
Really Cool stuff in Kennywood... but this Cameraman sucks! Awful walkthrough and ridiculous commentary. I feel if camera man is like LLTT (Looking in London Talking in Tokyo) Showing something and talking about something which is not in view.
The Wurlitzer on the carousel is the first #153 to be built.
Not confirmed. The only way to confirm is it's serial number. The first 153 built was number #2962.
I have been there every year except for the past 3 years if you did not know laser loop used to be before steel phantom

13:45 That kid in the green hat was me as a 7 year old. (I’m 10 now)
Was that actually you?
I live in west mifflin (where kennywood is) and i go every single year since i was 6 and im 18 now and it never gets old
You sound like a great announcer for kennywood history!😂😌
Btw GREAT VIDEO 👍
Thanks!
Jay Ducharme your welcome😊

Really calm, and collected tour of my favorite park. Love it!
Haven't been since I was little. I would love to go back! They've definitely changed/taken out a lot of stuff since we've been.

Yeah, I can't believe they got rid of the Laser Loop. At least this vidio had the merry go round on it, I didn't think they would ever get rid of it
Is the background music playing backwards?
I have to do that to avoid Google taking down the video for copyright reasons.
8:17 I think you mean wedding cake? LOL. People wish birthday cakes were layered like that.
Mikey Yeah, I think wedding cake I more accurate. 😀

Mikey I was just visiting. It’s been one of my favorite parks for decades.
I love this park can't wait for may
why am i watching this ive been through the whole park every year (10 years)
Really cool vid! Love the commentary! And yes, Kennywood has been known for the crazy amount of parking since it opened back in 1899!
Y

Little Beams With credit and a link, that would be fine. Post a link to your video here when it’s finished.

This is superb!
And the Arrow's name is Parker!
You're right! I forgot about that.
lol when I rode ghostwood estate last year it broke down while I was riding it the car stalled!

It just broke down the lights turned on on and I was asked to exit the ride
That's a breakdown all right! :-)
It broke on me and me and my brother was on, it was creepy
I watched this because I'm going to Kenny wood in 3 days
Great Video! I haven't been since early 80s as a kid and will be going back soon with my own family.. Thanks for the video
Nice video
Such a beautiful park. If I were building a park from scratch I think I'd want a mix of Kennywood and Canobie Lake.
U could of cut out the walking and just get straight to the ride and food places. (I'm just saying)
LetTheGames Begin No that's stupid the walking around and talking about the history of everything is the best part.
LetTheGames Begin then it wouldn't be a walk thru.
LetTheGames Begin it's called a walkthrough for a reason
Wow. You’re not a Pittsburgher, if you cannot pronounce MONagahela!! Any true Pittsburgher knows the pronunciation!!
Jay Olack I am from PITTSBURGH and I can not say Monagahela, so I just say Monagagayla (Mon-aha-Gay-La)

Come on...
“debuted”....
Really?
I can’t watch anymore. This is awful and a disrespect to the park.
