Being an Ohio State fan I'm accustomed to expecting to win most every week. There has never been a coach like Saban, who manages a team full of NFL players that are expected to win every game. He manages to keep them focused and grounded and in the here and now. To me, that's much more difficult than coaching as a underdog. When I hear anyone try to compare Urban Meyer to Saban, it makes me laugh...not even close.
"Give me Drew breeze or I'm going back to college ball!" Ironically, breeze did take the saints to the superbowl? And Alabama got Nick when Miami said "No."
Absolutely. I’ll always be grateful to Saban for what he’s done for Alabama, but no one will ever compare to Paul Bear Bryant. Bryant is Alabama football. And Saban is just a great coach for Bama.
Ms. Terry is beautiful inside and out. She is the regulator and true north that has kept Nick from going off the rails. I have met both of them and she was ten times more magnetic than Coach. I am forever grateful she convinced him to go back to college ball here in Alabama. We LOVE her!
Being a Bama fan it's no fun comparing Saban to the Bear. They were both the best "during their time". But both got the most out of every player they coached
Lifelong Bulldawgs fan here, I have a lot of respect for coach Saban. Him and his teams have created a legendary football dynasty, and you have to give it to him for it. A college football playoff without Bama will be different, but interesting.
"Outcomes are a distraction. Focus on the process." So true and one of the keys to his success.
Yep, 18-18 against P5 teams that finished with 11 or more wins. Of course, he doesn't want to focus on those outcomes.

I wasn't happy seeing Stallings leave shortly after that unexpected defeat of a mighty Miami team. Had a wait then for someone competent enough for the coaching job, alway being defeated by the Florida dynasty..I kept watching and watching hoping for the day when Bama would be able to defeat the Noles. I don't think it happened until about 2007 or so and I started cheering like crazy.
Shortly? It was 4 yrs later.
Lol. 2007 Bowden beat Saban in their only game. Both finished with 7 wins.
FYI, Coach Saban has 2 Little Debbie creamed filled oatmeal cakes (cookies) for breakfast in the mornings, now that is a breakfast of champions,Roll Tide
I was first generation college on both sides of my family. Know how it feels. I inspired others in my family to go to collage.
Nick Saban is a product of Coach Don James system at Kent. He was from West Virginia, but his aunt and uncle lived in Canton, Ohio, so he went to Kent. I actually saw Nick Saban play in a game at Kent with Jack Lambert and Coach Gary Pinkel. That was a winning, very tough team.
He went to KENT because he wasn't offered by WVU and his dad was upset!!!
Great documentary of The Greatness of Coach Saban 🏈🏈🏈
Watching this on Wed after #8 Bama beats #1 Georgia and kicks FSU out of Championship bowl games. Saban is amazing and being #8 facing Georgia only made him stronger and his team stronger. Roll Tide!
You didn't "Kick" Florida State out of anything. It was TAKEN from us, and you had nothong to do with it. You have enough championships already without taking away FSUs chance . Beat us on the field before running your mouth.
@@georgehollingsworth2428 you want equality in Championships now too? So not who deserves it but just so you can feel better about your team.. your post sums up everything that is wrong with America today.
@@georgehollingsworth2428 The Panel was correct in their decision and all your tears wont do anything other than quench my thirst for more Championships.

Lol. The CFP thought a 2nd or 3rd string football was not gonna bring in the views bec most of the time they cant win.
Lol. TX loses their starting QB , 5 plays into the 2009 NC. A true freshman comes in and turns it over 5 times. Lol more. What would the 2023 CFP say about the legitimacy of the 2009 NC.
What a fucking legend.
Enjoy the game! 🏈
Greatest college coach of my lifetime!
You were the GREATEST....
He is the last coach I would want to face. He is like Voldemort of College Football.
One day, there should and will be a movie for coach Saban.
It's all in how you PLAY the GAME ! awesome
Well they do have a similarity....neither could get it done in the NFL
Urban May have been a great college coach but as a human being he sucks.
@@djquinn11 what do Urban Meyer and Woody Hayes have in common?
@@DubLubb . Besides both being head coach at OSU? I grew up a Michigan fan so they were also both unpopular in Ann Arbor.
@@djquinn11 both got fired for assault
Roll Tide Roll forever.
30:00 I loved that clash of clans notification
@11:23 says everything about their friendship. I remember watching that game.

The GOAT
Guys, guys - yall can't play wagonwheel without using the goat of that song... Darius Ruckus
26:39 Jason is just a nice dude and true professional
Who’d have thought The Bear would be exceeded, especially so quickly.
He’s not been exceeded. It’s a different generation of football.
@@mynamedoesntmatter8652 Naw, he’s definitely been exceeded. That’s a fact.
Gimme Shelter, my favorite song by the Stones.
By far, the GOAT!!! Alabama is so lucky to have had him!!!
Alabama has always been blessed with great coaches. The Bear, Stallings, and Saban at the top.🐘🐘🏈🏈🏆🏆
And that is why he is a legend. It’s all about the players .
I know Nick and I are close in age , didn't know how much I like his taste in music!
I always knew Michigan State University would regret letting him get away.
I go to state, but we would never have coach D! Either way it worked out well for both ends. Saban wouldn't be saban without MSU.
To Toledo he Went!!! And a Legendary coaching career had its start…
What! never won a bowl there. Took like 47 or49 games to get MSU into the top 10. Blah, blah.
Great documentary the Greatest Coach
And Saban was Alabamas 2nd choice after Rich Rodriguez turned them down
I love the trashing of LSU fans by the Sabans, really classy stuff.
Ok, @1:34 those moves right there will get mom and dad to send their kid to Alabama.
Mrs. Saban is and was a ten plus looker! He can pick the players and gracious can he pick a wife!!!
Its not hard to see Nick Saban owning a car dealership
WV love you Brother. 👍👍
I love Nick Saban!
Wouldn't have thought of him as a Stones fan
THE GOAT!
Bama started NIL before it was started if you know what I mean
Yeah I think he was surrounded by good people for quite a while. Glad his kids are doing well after everything. Picture perfect family.
Except they're a bunch of psychopaths. Nick has probably killed people for fun
@@willriley994 I don't think he would enjoy that. He's a Christian.
@@audreyh777 No he's not. He sold his soul to the devil
Chief our shield has run out haha
8:35 if they ever make a story about Belichick Jake Gyllenhaal could totally play a young version... what do y'all think???
Best coach ever, hands down
"Give me Drew breeze or I'm going back to college ball!" Ironically, breeze did take the saints to the superbowl? And Alabama got Nick when Miami said "No."
Chief, our shield has run out! 15:03 lol
Sabans culture reminds me of my undefeated 3 peat in middle school
"No walking on the holy grass"
Nick sabban is a great coach no doubt but bear Bryant is and always will be the biggest legend in Alabama history
Absolutely. I’ll always be grateful to Saban for what he’s done for Alabama, but no one will ever compare to Paul Bear Bryant. Bryant is Alabama football. And Saban is just a great coach for Bama.
Wish you were right but you wrong
@@Highsteppa81 Paul William Bryant will always be the best coach in Alabama history 🤷🏻💯
Nah. The Bear has a lot of blemishes. 8 bowls in row without a win screams WTF!
Ms. Terry is beautiful inside and out. She is the regulator and true north that has kept Nick from going off the rails. I have met both of them and she was ten times more magnetic than Coach. I am forever grateful she convinced him to go back to college ball here in Alabama. We LOVE her!
NOT EVEN AN ARGUMENT, AND COMING FROM A NOTRE DAME FAN, NICK SABAN IS THE GREATEST COACH OF ALL TIME!!!
Being a Bama fan it's no fun comparing Saban to the Bear. They were both the best "during their time". But both got the most out of every player they coached
@@reginaldhall6871 - Saban has done more in a more competitive environment in a shorter period of time. Roll Tide!
Put some respect on Knute
ROLL TIDE ROLL!
We LOVE U and Mrs. TERRI!! SO GLAD to have a wonderful coach..one who cares about the boys! RTR always ♥️ ❤️
Oh shut it
Lifelong Bulldawgs fan here, I have a lot of respect for coach Saban. Him and his teams have created a legendary football dynasty, and you have to give it to him for it. A college football playoff without Bama will be different, but interesting.
Thank you Coach Saban! #roadTo19
Man Jason Taylor was a beast
Chief, your clash of clans shield has run out.
You can certainly learn a lot from the Saban rants. Roll Tide! 🏈🏆🐘💯
