Theres another reason for using winning streak in showdowns, it increases long ranged headshot damage on repeaters and rifles and increases the likelihood of a kill. I dont know exactly how much of a difference it makes, but I definitely notice it if I take it off. Winstreak is the only card Ive used consistantly since the beta days even after its damage was nerfed.

This combination even is deadly accurate in pvp or pve and the rapid fire sends them packing. It is a glass cannon build for pure offensive strategy but quite deadly. The card itself is useless by itself but great together. Add that with high grade tonics for health and stamina and you are ready to tank into a lot of battles.
I like getting up close with a tanky build and filling my enemies full of holes with dual revolvers or a shotgun so I think WS isn't a bad idea when it comes to that. I've been debating whether or not to use GC though, I don't always survive the charge into battle without a complete tank build (I just have Slow and Steady + Fool me Once)

When I first unlocked winning streak. I played with it for about a days and went back to peak condition. I could easily tell, almost immediately, that it just wasn't as helpful as it seems to be. So, I already knew that it wasn't a good ability card... But now I know why. 👍
I use winning streak with strange medicine so I can heal more health if I keep landing shots, also I use Lemat revolvers so it's almost crucial for me to have to kill tanks and to get more consistent kills on slippery users with my shotguns, although I agree, the fact that if you miss it resets is kinda a deal breaker for almost any build trying to use it, I just use it as a counter for other builds(fool me once is too strong)
Honestly I just go for the headshots always, no matter what build I put together, my personal favorite is PiB, peak condition, sharp shooter & Nw1 🤷🏽♂️ (PiB & peak goes well when players get close to me & when sniping with my carcano the sharp shooter mixed with Nw1 works great as both defense and offense-damage)
Can we get the same tests done with Fool Me Once? Specifically, things like multiple damage sources having their own stacks, thus making it bad for PvE since enemies wont survive long enough to shoot you more than a few times, making Iron Lung better.

I'd like it if missing didn't increase damage, but it didn't end the bonus cuz the obvious use for this is dual mausers/semi autos but those have very bad accuracy and are gonna miss a couple times, especially if you are hipfiring.
In close range combat the Double Barrel Shotgun is king. If you can't hit your shots and dodge returning fire, then you're not going to have a good time. In showdowns you have to quickly manage your shots, reloads, and weapon switching. A lot of people gravitate towards the Pump Action because they can't manage the 2 shot limit of the Double Barrel. The problem with the Pump Action is that it isn't as strong as the Double Barrel. It makes up for it by having 5 shells instead of 2. So with these 5 shots you have more potential to inflict more damage on a target with Winning Streak. The classic shotgun setup is Paint it Black, Winning Streak, Peak Conditioning, and Never Without One. Of course this is shotgun based combat, which would obviously be close to midrange gunfights. I go for headshots so it's not really a positive or a negative to my play style to use WS and PC, but if someone gets close I can take them out with ease using this setup with a shotgun. In mid to long range combat I switch the shotgun to a Carcano and switch Winning Streak to Sharpshooter.

i will still stay with winning streak, it simply works better with my semi-shotgun and double mausers than peak condition, at least in my pvp and showdown experience so far. of course PIB stays the main ability card, to fully use the ws advantage.
I love winning streak when using a super accurate gun like the bolt action or navy revolvers. Matched with slow and steady, iron lung and fool me once, you've got a great anti griefer build.

I would have to agree cat it is extremely impracticable to shoot someone more than 3 times and useing mausers wouldn't help because u miss like half ur shots
I feel like a decent buff to winning streak would just to remove the part about the streak being lost of you miss a shot and increase the time between shots to 15 seconds. I much prefer sharpshooter and peak conditions right now as I know I’m always going to get value from peak condition and since I use scoped guns a lot I get a lot of value from sharp shooter.
Zachary Darkes landons patience increases the amount of damage each shot does the longer u wait in between shots with a max at 15 seconds for damage. I’m suggesting to keep the winning streak part where each shot hit within (the buff of 15 seconds) does more damage than the last and removing the penalty of missing a shot. With the 5 seconds extra people have more time to hit a follow up shot.
with a pair of navies and splitties (which are already really accurate) and Gunslingers choice, it feels like i don't even need a repeater any more. With WS i find i have to rely on express ammo and have a harder time taking down crowds of bad guys.
I think it works in my case very well as I mainly use Lancaster shotgun and navy's carcano when it's too far to use Lancaster and etc and the rest of my cards make a difference too Fool Me once Iron Lung Slow and steady, meaning while I'm shooting shots off like a mad man I'm tanking there's I fight mostly in free roam expect for nowadays cause of small lobbies, I find combining the two cards that counter each other give you a advantage cause if they got one they lose without the headshot
Winning Streak + Peak Condition makes the Carcano a one shot kill. It’s also better than Landon’s Patience due to being able to use any weapon and not having to wait in between shots. If they drink a Tonic(most smart players will) then Winning Streak becomes even better.
Meh ill stick with what i have. Typically stay with sharpshooter, peak condition, and landons patience. Sometimes substituting strange medicine in instead of landons if I need health regen
just in time i have another question about short game card, what distance does the damage bonus kick in? especially for shotguns because id like to know what range to shoot and what range not to shoot while using short game.
winning streak sucks in free aim mode, and especially with dual guns i dont know if anyone else suffers from this but each shot with revolvers i always miss the second shot with the dumb bloom, even when I'm aiming center mass.
I tested this card using dual Sawed offs with slugs on a friend and it seems when you are dual wielding there is no additional damage between first and second shot. Only extra damage for second shot if you use one side arm. Cat, is it possible that this card only gives extra damage when using one weapon at a time instead of dual wielding? Would be interesting to look into..

I keep winning streak for my lemats and i only ever pull them out at ranges that im not gonna miss with target lock no way other than that i use bolt or pump so winning streak never really comes into play at those ranges cause the bolt im going for the head and the pump can hit a foot and still kill
My question is does it have a damage cap? I’d use Varmit rifle sedative rounds to test this, because as far as I’m concerned it has the lowest damage output.
I think the best build is 1. Paint it black. 2. Peak Condition 3. Iron Lung 4. Never without one. The only thing to keep in mind with this build is to try and stay crouched a lot and if you are sprinting around, always try to use a bitters before you start engaging. I’m a tonic chugger. I always have tier 2s ready for each category (health stamina deadeye). Plus your stamina hardly drains with this setup.
I don't think it's worth an ability slot. Especially if you could pull off headshots with ease. I guess you could justify it if you use a sniper rifle but why won't you just use Sharpshooter? And obviously Gunslinger if you're dual wielding. Am I missing something though? I'd love to hear from any WS users what I'm getting wrong. Genuinely curious.
@@TRIIGGAVELLI Yep, ONE pistol with explosive rounds defeats anyone in 1/2 shots max. As for PVE, just click heads with the pistol and its just as good as anything else. Plus looks way better for style than having a pike on your back or that extra holster on the front.
@@RAZINSI Yeah that might work with 10 rounds but after that you don't got a shot in hell. Especially up against someone like me with PiB and a repeater and you really don't have a chance against the Carcano out of lock on range.
@@TRIIGGAVELLI I use slippery bastard and the mouser has all 10 rounds in the mag. Im a defensive player so 9/10 I win the fights as people are not expecting that combination. Once you've defended yourself, you move on. Its a great combination

we dont need to save hairstyles but card settups and outfits (still doesnt work right it always changes the saved ones when i change just the outfit)

The damage reduction does stack from multiple sources according to Captain Balrick's spreadsheet.

I only use winning steak exclusively on free roam events as it's merely used to support my other weapons when I'm not sniping.
Can we talk about that increase to shotgun lethality though? Almost seems worth using for that alone, and it doesn’t need to “charge up”, either.

Well..the missed shots cancelling out the bonus certainly sucks... I thought it would be good in a run & gun style of gameplay paired with Gunslinger.

It is good with paint it black that’s about it.
If you are painting targets you don't have to worry about missing shots with winning streak.

I give myself a disadvantage by only using pistols but hey it's fun. Also are there any dps builds worth running? I've tried a few and so far nothing seems viable sadly

the card that is transparent is not active. f.e. winning streak is only active at ur second shot.

Can you make a video on top 10 loads like the usual max health and max damage pit but then a few fun ones like a horse build or a mele build
I keep winning streak for my lemats and i only ever pull them out at ranges that im not gonna miss with target lock no way other than that i use bolt or pump so winning streak never really comes into play at those ranges cause the bolt im going for the head and the pump can hit a foot and still kill
My question is does it have a damage cap? I’d use Varmit rifle sedative rounds to test this, because as far as I’m concerned it has the lowest damage output.
Damage cap is about +100% so double after 10
I think the best build is 1. Paint it black. 2. Peak Condition 3. Iron Lung 4. Never without one. The only thing to keep in mind with this build is to try and stay crouched a lot and if you are sprinting around, always try to use a bitters before you start engaging. I’m a tonic chugger. I always have tier 2s ready for each category (health stamina deadeye). Plus your stamina hardly drains with this setup.
So which ability card would you say works best for dual sawed off shotguns? Winning streak? Gunslingers choice? Or perhaps both?
I don't think it's worth an ability slot. Especially if you could pull off headshots with ease. I guess you could justify it if you use a sniper rifle but why won't you just use Sharpshooter? And obviously Gunslinger if you're dual wielding. Am I missing something though? I'd love to hear from any WS users what I'm getting wrong. Genuinely curious.
I only use the pistol. So its absolutely useful for people like me.

@@TRIIGGAVELLI Yep, ONE pistol with explosive rounds defeats anyone in 1/2 shots max. As for PVE, just click heads with the pistol and its just as good as anything else. Plus looks way better for style than having a pike on your back or that extra holster on the front.
@@RAZINSI Yeah that might work with 10 rounds but after that you don't got a shot in hell. Especially up against someone like me with PiB and a repeater and you really don't have a chance against the Carcano out of lock on range.
@@TRIIGGAVELLI I use slippery bastard and the mouser has all 10 rounds in the mag. Im a defensive player so 9/10 I win the fights as people are not expecting that combination. Once you've defended yourself, you move on. Its a great combination
Ok BUT what if you mix Gunslingers Choice, Winning Streak and the Short Game in close combat house fights with duals? Shouldnt that be OP as fuck?
