  • Harley Davidson had a demo day for their 2023 line up. This is one of the many bikes I rode that day. Check out the other videos I have on the other bikes from that day.

    I've had two freewheelers and now I have the Road Glide 3. It is very smooth, not wobbly. It just takes a little practice to get used to it.

    Happy to see all the comments about the shaking n wobble
    Once I get a bit more familiar with it I plan on crossing the country with it.
    Just got mine yesterday.
    Loved the ride home 😊

    On my second one (Still have my CVO Street Glide, though) The solid axle causes what he calls wobbly. They are also extremely difficult to overturn. I found that if you put an engine guard and highway pegs on, when you pull left to turn left, push left with your left foot. It keeps you in the seat and offers better balance. I bought a Freewheeler when I had both hips replaced and loved it with a stage II. I did put some 12" Ape Hangers on it for better comfort. Get a windshield for your Freewheeler. I am loving my RG3 and after the guard and pegs, the factory handlebars seem to be a good fit. I will admit, there is nothing like leaning on a 2 wheeler.

    When I first got my Tri Glide Ultra I thought it was wobbly. I realized I was trying to balance it. Once I stopped trying to balance it with the handlebars, it straightened right out.

    Here’s a guy that has no clue about trikes yet still thinks his words should matter to you. Unstable? Really?

      no kidding, they track like a go cart. its a different ride.they hold the road.

      It was just more wobbly than I expected, and I said it was unstable because of that. However, the wobble does cause it to feel unnerving, especially for the first time riding one.
      I'm simply trying to give people an idea of what it feels like to ride one if they've never ridden one before.

    Ok. For those of you that have never ridden a trike, it is different. Two things you need to do right out of the box, change the handle bars and suspension front and back. HD suspension totally sucks. It is stiff and works your ass off trying to makes turns especially on curvy roads or in the mountains. I do not under why HD does not take a hint from the after market companies like Legands and make the suspension better. As for the handle bars, HD makes them to fit general riders. But you have to make that expensive change to fit you otherwise you will never enjoy the comfort you can get by changing the bars. After you put a couple of thousand miles on your ass, you will start to enjoy the trike and be in total control of the handling. The side to side motion is the rider holding on too tight. Relax and the ride will come to you. For those of you making reviews of the Trike, your input is worthless. Stop until you know what you are talking about.

      Well said my friend.
      I was looking into getting a trike or two wheeler after I get my motorcycle license here in Florida.

      @@EDDIE5918 When you wife rides with you all the time as mine does, the Ultra is the way to go, and that is what we have. When you see the price on this page, BS. No dealer is going to even get close to that. As with the Ultra, you can expect another $3000 before you get out the door. Then comes the must haves. The first thing to go is the stock handlebars. They suck. Made for the average Joe or Joanne. You need to put the bars at least where the grips are shoulder high. That will cost you another $1,250. Next come the exhaust to remove the catalytic converter. It gets so hot on your right foot that it blisters mine and took the finish off my wife's boots. Another $1000 plus. Then comes the air box so the damn engine can breathe. You will have to purchase a computer interface to re-map the computer. That is near $300 more. One last must. Suspension kit for front and back. The Tri Glide Ultra rides like shit. It is very rough. The Legend kit for front and rear plus labor, another $2,600 plus. Now you get to put on some custom accessories. You have a trike now that cost more than your first house. What I have written here is not bs. I know. I have been through it. After you get all that one, Put Amsoil in all three holes. No, I don't work for Amsoil. I know it is superior to any other product out there. Good luck with you new three wheel. I love mine but damn it is too expensive.

    The wobble and shake goes away as you get used to riding it since it completely different than a standard bike. Also while you might feel as if you are going to tip over that will only ever occur if you take a turn ridiculously hot. Again it is something you learn as you ride it over time.

    I'm sure the suspension wasn't set up for your weight since it was a demo ride. Thus the bounce.

    I have the 2023 road glide 3 and it is very wobbly and I'm very disappointed in it. Are roads being not the best but I'm going to give it a little more time before I trade it in for something else.

    I've rode over 300,000 miles on two wheeled motorcycles before my wife's health issues made us go to a trike. I've put on over 30,000 miles on HD trikes and never once felt wobbly. MyTrikes have always felt very stable on the road. On a highway where there are few curves they ride just like a two wheeled motocycle. But when you get into the twisties, you have to steer, not lean, and there is a huge difference then. After getting use to a trike though, you can fly through the twisties and have a lot of fun.

    • @JAWexposures

      I'm glad they're not all wobbly. This particular one I rode was bouncing at lower speed. Even the guy at the dealership agreed it was bouncy. So I'm not sure what the deal is.

    The low profile tires trying to adjust the air in them. Trying to find the right adjustment for the shocks and yes when you live in Illinois and your roads are damaged from the Summer sun and the winter cold and you've got a very rough Center and the other sides are not equal. You have a very bouncy Road PS I sometimes think I need a kidney belt

    Lift kit, change the rear shocks out and it should make it a bit more stable.

    A Trike is the most dangerous motorcycle out there.
    Specially if given to a person who's never ridden a motorcycle or even less a trike and not familiar with the chassis dynamics.
    Whenever I rode one the uneasiness never left until I dismounted it.
    Really bouncy just as he described it.
    I don't think IRS would be the FULL cure of it.
    Maybe something akin more to a regular motorcycle with full lean, something like a reversed Piaggio MP3.

    • @davebusch4397
      @davebusch4397 5 місяців тому

      Totally disagree about being the most dangerous motorcycle out there. Different suspension and it solves a lot of that bounce. My wife has a trike with independent rear suspension and it is super smooth and also Just bought the RG3. We have a few things in store for it like cartage front end and taller shocks but its super nice to ride. Not sure why you felt so uneasy on it.

    • @claytonpulley4947
      @claytonpulley4947 5 місяців тому

      The most dangerous motorcycle out there is the one you do not know how to ride. I have ridden 250K on 2 wheels, crossed the U.S. E&W. Made it to the Canadian border N. and the Guatemalan border to the S. I am now 74 year of age. i purchased a 2023 Tri Glide in October. It took about 500 miles, before I was comfortable with the ride, it is different, but you adjust if you are getting older and still want some wind in your face. It is 'bouncy' because you have 3 wheels. If you are lucky enough to live 3/4's of century, you may wish you had one. Another thing, air ride suspension is a bad option, unless you like extra bouncy. Best, CrP
