one of the most fun runs I've ever played was using a build I referred to as "Freeze Bees" which is just cryo mastery bee cannon summoner, after a few damage ticks all the rest start critting. it may not have been my most efficient or fastest summoner clear but it still bullied Iris on G4 and was incredibly funny. because bees.
I love summoner builds, but it's annoying that two of the very good perks for engie drones have some negative synergy - dronezerker only procs when drones take damage, and family swarm's protection bubble means that half the time they're active, your drones don't take damage. they're both good perks on their own, but in a full summon build where you're taking multiple summon perks, it's almost always worth going for chromatic buddies and scrap snacks over dronezerker, and prioritizing family swarm and short deploy cooldown. Chromatic buddies is where your damage synergies start to really pop off, and the more consistent damage instances per second, the better IMHO
Tip with the collector, the best way to increase your odds is actually by removing as many weapons as possible. Explanation in comment if you’re curious.
So, there are a lot of weapons in this game, and the collector can either double the chance for a weapon or remove it from the pool entirely. For the sake of making math easy, let’s say there are 100 weapons (I know there aren’t but let’s just say that). That means the collector changes the 1/100 chance of dropping to a 1/50. However, if you take out 11 other weapons, your 1/50 instead becomes 1/44.5. That doesn’t seem that much better, but in practice it’s A LOT more. Namely because, unlike items, you can get the same weapon a ton of times. Unless they are just straight up removed. Technically, the best way to get any weapon you want is to remove as many Act 1 weapons from the pool as possible so that you never have the chance to see a large pool of weapons that you don’t want throughout the run.

Picking cozy kennel was a mistake i think. Dronezerker won't work while bots are under shield
