The SUNKEN Dusky BOAT RESTORATION!

Greetings one and all, as many of you well know by now, Cap'n Corby and Big Homie Mo are a big part of these videos; We have had many a good day on the water thanks to the "Dying Breed", a 1992, 26 foot, inboard Dusky. A few months back, during the Quarantine, the Dying Breed actually took a short trip to the bottom of the canal, behind the dock where she was being stored. We were lead to believe that she either got caught under the dock as the tide was coming in or that she had potentially been SABOTAGED! For the past two months we have been working to get her back in functioning order, with hopes of getting back out on the water. We were able to refloat the boat and tow her back to the trailer were Corby was able to give the old inboard motor an complete overhaul and get her running again!
With the boat now running and floating again, we had to get out on the water and see what she would do in real world conditions. Upon our departure from the boat ramp we immediately noticed that there was a misfire caused by sending spark to the wrong cylinder at the wrong time. A quick readjustment of the firing order and we were good to go! We ended the day with a Cubera Snapper, Mangrove Snapper, Mutton Snapper, Hog Fish (Hog Snapper), Black Grouper, and 4 invasive Lionfish. We hope you enjoy this boat restoration episode!

Hey man how’d this happen, drain plug, or just windy

We don't actually know how it happened. We've been on the boat both before and after it sank now and there is definitely no issues with the hull itself. The drain plug was secured when the boat sank. We're convinced that the rails got caught under the dock as the tide was coming in and tipped the boat to the point where water came over the sides and sank it.
