Woodturning a Snowman Ornament on the Lathe

    You might find some of the work holding methods for the lathe interesting.
    This snowman ornament was made of tulip poplar, black locust, and bloodwood. Using a collet chuck to hold a steel spindle, I'm able to quickly swap parts around on the lathe and then use the same 3/8" holes to assemble the parts with dowels. This is a great way to make holiday gifts!
    Most of the work was done on the lathe, but the bandsaw and drill press make some appearances too.
    I often like to play long videos of trades work to help me reduce anxiety and fall asleep, so I tried to produce something similar here.
