Ep 8 Chumi Gyatse, Near Tawang- Holy waterfall to Dirang Jang Falls | waterfall near China border

- We started our day from Tawang to explore the hidden gem, Chumi Gyatse Falls- 108 waterfalls or Holy water falls which is close to the china border,
It is not known to many, even the locals have visited this place. There are 2 routes to chumi Gyatse from Tawang, one is a longer route via Rho Jangda which is around 95 km & shorter route is around 70 km via bumla pass, road condition of this route is not that good.
This was our 8th day of our Tawang Tour, this video was shot on 16th April 2022
Tsechu Village - We took the shorter route, there was a diversion before Bumla pass, just one day before snowfall had happened, we saw the snow everywhere. This village is located near Damteng. There is a hot water spring in this village across the Tshechu Rhong river.
Chumi Gyatse falls - Then we proceeded towards the falls, 8 km can be reached by car then from there, one needs to trek to reach the falls, Uniqueness of this falls is that, water is flowing from the mountains,
There are about 108 streams flowing through the mountains, it is considered to be Holy water falls, as several Buddhists come from far off places.
Tibet - China border is at a distance of almost half a km from this waterfall.
Then after fall we did the night stay in Tshechu village.
Initially i had planned to reach back Tawang but due to Ligament tear i decided to stay there overnight.
This ligament tear later on in the month May turned out to be Meniscus teaser that i got operated on 2nd June 2022.
Next day 17th April 2022 we proceeded towards Tawang.
Jang Falls or Nuranang falls - This waterfall is 30 km away from Tawang enroute to Dirang, the height of this falls is around 100 meters.
Sela Pass - Enroute to Dirang we passed via sela pass, evening view of Sela pass and Sela lake after the snow fall was breath taking.
Hotel Samjhana - 13 km before dirang, there is small dhaba where we had our dinner then proceeded towards Dirang.
Hotel Snow lion in Dirang, the cost of room was around Rs 1600 for double occupancy, we stayed here overnight

The opening snippets of the kid mimicking the dog, followed by their laughter set the pace for the wonderful episode that followed. One doesn't find too much information about Tsechu even on Google, except that efforts are on to develop the Chumi Gyatse waterfalls as a tourist site. Once again, you have brought to us the beauty of the lesser know places in Arunachal. Every shot in the video was exquisite backed by your lucid narration. For me, the the way the kids giggled and laughed after you asked their age, was the "wow" moment!

Your travel vlog reminds me of my tenure as a young Army Officer posted in the region during 1988-90. Tawang, PTSO, Sungetsar, Bumla, Sulu La, were so far distant then. Road beyond Tawang was kaccha. Penga Tenga Pso was where we were located. Treacherous terrain. Difficult times then. Now, it seems so easy to traverse. There were no civilians beyond Tawang back then.
Arunachal pradesh is truly a nature's own place :) amazing.

I have also visited the holy waterfall few days ago. It’s a must visit place for Raw Nature lovers. Also the visit has increased my respect for Indian Army for guarding our borders and saving beautiful places for us .

After a long long time, I saw a gushing waterfall(after Machhkund waterfall in Odisha) in the name of Jung waterfall. It was so beautiful. It was all possible to Harish ji's extraordinary series on Arunachal Pradesh. I wonder now why so many my country people go to Switzerland or any other country in the name of vacation?
