- Silver Dollar City made their big announcement about upcoming expansion plans. And they have some big ones, with more to come. This is an indepth look at what they announced, what they didn't, and what else may be coming or implied in it.
A behind the scenes look at what a former worker at Disney World, Silver Dollar City, and Busch Gardens Florida experienced in his time working at the parks. From driving large safari trucks around live wild animals while cracking one silly joke after another, to spending 5 years as a #PhotoPass photographer at #WaltDisneyWorld and seeing and experiencing all sorts of things, to being a conductor and #trainrobber on the famous Frisco Silver Dollar Line at #SilverDollarCity. With 10 years of working in the parks, there's lots of stories to tell. Here is some of them...

I've just been to Silver Dollar City today for the second time this year (the first time was on March 24th), and it was a ton of fun!

So on the live you talked about them building behind the dollar general. But when I was there I seen them doing dirt work down the road where the mansions us to be? You can see it from 76. Makes much more sense here as well.
concept art is not always 100% accurate, but I noticed that they also have two trains shown in the same image where Outlaw run is backwards. The second one is by American Plunge and Wildfire were there is no train. So 2 possibilities. the most likely one is that the concept artists was told to put two trains in and just threw the second train where there was room. the other is building new tracks which I find much less likely.
Would love to see a Buzzsaw Falls 2.0 with a layout like Journey to Atlantis with Ozark themeing.
I wonder if they would build a new roundhouse. Because if they have 2 train operations as a standard, they are going to need more space most definitely
Trying to brainstorm rides at other parks that would fit in SDC. Maybe a shoot the chutes ride?
The park will probably move White Water to the 1200 acres where the bus parking is now and retheme it after the resort is opened. Whitewater is an older waterpark which land locked with no room for expansion.
This whole time I was thinking the resort was going on that hilltop that was(is?) Indian Ridge Road, where they demolished the mansions😆 For a more direct lake view and allow more room for park expansion. There’s minimal but some start of a road/stoplight there already too…

Wondering if "parks" means SDC and the water park OR SDC with a lot of family rides and a new park with thrill rides. Dollywood has a lot of great family coasters.

What about the area where they tore down all the mansions?? I thought that was where the resort was going. I kinda wish it wasn't behind the Dollar General, considering it's an eyesore at the supposed entrance to resort.
We absolutely love SDC, but are so disappointed in how the international apartments turned out. It truly has an unwelcoming-cold appeal to them. We actually thought it was low income housing, or a new jail. Hopefully, the design of the future plan is as beautiful as the rendering looks. Thank you for sharing all of this with us!

@@brockm8515 Yes, they actually have a big sign there at the entrance to where the castle like homes were, saying, "Look left!"
