How can you move all in if the ace doesn’t come when you’ve already checked in the dark? If that’s any card but an ace Phil has to fold to the shove and he’s left with just 34k. Now I do believe that if Hellmuth had not checked in the dark and it was a blank that he might have shoved but he didn’t give himself that chance to make that play by dark checking.

@@TheKnockout756 Antonio does bet half pot on the river. Pot is over 60k and effective stack is 34k. There is no way a check raise is ever possible with the spr. Phil fucked up and forgot that he checked in the dark.

I think all the weirdness in the A3cc hand was due to Phil using “dark check” to try and reverse the positional advantage Antonio has with the button.
Of course, that is old school leveling and Phil figured Antonio would try to bluff the paired board. Of course, this is what happened.
