its 2021 and skydio haven't fixed the range problem. i love my skydio when i mountain bike and it tracks me so well, but man i do want to fly at parks and manually and have a dissent range, to get some great shots with out loosing connection after 100 yards. its time skydio to look in to this issue.

Those are the two major things that keep me from buying this drone WiFi connection and the controller. Stability/security is key with flying drones and WiFi can’t provide that. 😭 Nice information video Nicole! 😊
Just get a skyshit 3 and enjoy your unit! Ends up getting you about 4.2 km, And let's face it it's only $1,000 drone it's not that big of an investment and it's amazing for what you get!

Why don't you mention anything about how to turn the remote control on? I believe it turns on automatically but you don't even mention this process at all. So people like me for example that are having trouble we're in the dark. I've paired my remote but it only turns on for the pairing process. When I connected to my phone nothing happens. The app is looking for Wi-Fi but I have Wi-Fi off. I don't even know where to start troubleshooting me cuz I have no idea of the process of how it normally turns on. Before I was looking for a power button
I wish the controller was more precise in movement, with autel or Dji products when you let go it stops. With skydio my drone keeps going up,down ,left etc for about 5 ro 6 feet and I've went through the settings numerous times. You guys at skydio need to adjust this a bit. But great product I'm enjoying it ! Love the color grading
Hello, i sent out an email but didn't get a reply. I can't seem to get my controller connected to my samsung tablet. I've tried different usb c- micro cable, but none worked so far. Could you please give me a recommendation on what to do or what specific cable i need to get it to work.

Skydio 2 is the top in tracking, but if you want to do a cinematic video like you fly the drone far away from you Mavic is Top, i always try skydio to fly far and I always get a Weak GPS even in an open area while bar is not bad… weird
there is a big mistery that's driving me crazy. My RC has to be turned OFF and ON again every time it looses the link, it's able to connect to the drone only at the moment of power-up, so, it is necessary to power-cycle it in order to regain a lost connection... I've discovered there is a number of Skydio2 owners who are in the same situation, to the point they think that's "norma" and happens to everybody... We are not able to understand what the difference is between the "self-reconnecting RC's" and the non reconnecting ones, we have checked for the firmware version, we all have 7.0.30! Yet they behave differently... Ani Idea? it's really annoying, Power cycling every time means closing the "lid" and opening it again, if you are on a Tablet with a tablet holder... you'd better put everything back in the bag and go home....
The controller is pure garbage. Shitty design that can't even properly fit larger phones or phones with curved back without spitting the phone in mid flight out of the bracket. Feels like Toys R Us controller for kids. The auto turn on is another major oversight, so unless you do hardware switch mod you have to jam in piece plastic or paper to turn it off, or every time fold the antenna. Poor range is probably not controller fault just the antenna on the drone is another poor design by the Skydio design team :( How can they advertise 3.5km range? Nobody ever got even close to that. Video transmission is choppy if you reach 800 FT yes feet not meters.

Get a skyshit3 internal mod for $175. Gets about 4.1km range and doesn't mess with the footprint of the controller andcan be reversed at any time.

the factory cable that the iPhone brings doesn't work for me which one you're using on the video that's from iPhone to type c
You must use the cable that comes with the Controller, no other cable will work.

Pitch back gently as you come in for a stop, and it will act as a “brake” of sorts, good practice for any drone to stop faster. Hope this helps

You must use the USB-C cable that comes with the drone. 3rd party cables will not work.
