It's great that you tell us what you are doing as you do it. It's easy to miss nuances when it's just a demo without the narrative. Easier to remember, too, when I try it. Lovely painting! Thank you.
Glad it was helpful!
beautiful painting in simple way you taught
😊
Your painting looks more beautiful than the photograph, perhaps because it evokes an emotion, and emotions possess colour. This feels so warm.
I am so glad you think so! Thank you!
Lovely work. Thanks for teaching us!
You are most welcome Teresa! Thank you!
Magnifique!
Fantastic, thank you. You make it look so easy - I need to practise more, loosen up and embrace those 'happy accidents'.

Beautiful atmosphere.
Gorgeous, l have been watching some watercolouring. I usually use acrylic, abstracts. However watching you blend, setting areas, using a small card and as you are painting, you tell us everything you are doing & why. Now l am more interested to paint water colours. Thank You, 💜🤍💙🧡💛💚♥️♥️

Hiya Karen, I really enjoyed this and the first time around as well, thanks very much. I joined your Patreon Channel last weekend and love it and I would recommend it to anyone.
If someone doesn't have the green apatite genuine then try mixing some granulating French ultramarine with some Indian yellow or gamboge and it makes something quite close in colour and texture. Take care, David.xx
Thank you so much David. Great tip, I will try this. Thank you for sharing 😊
So pleased you are enjoying the Patreon membership 😊
Thanks for the color mixing tip!
@@annevickers3307 You're welcome Anne. I tried Cadmium Yellow Deep as well but the opacity stops the effect of granulation, so transparent/ semi transparent like I mentioned are the best. I've also has some success with transparent oranges and granulating blues like French Ultra, and Cerulean's. Combining Alizarin Permanent and Raw Umber, the latter from Daler Rowney which granulates quite a bit makes an interesting Autumnal colour. It's really surprising what can be achieved with just a few colours. Take care. XX
Such a good video I learned so much I really enjoy your channel
Thank you so much 😊
you are amazing
Thank you so much 😊

How do you decide when you use wet on wet vs wet on dry? I know it’s partially decided by the effect you’re going for…but for the beginner, what’s the difference in the effects and what effects can be gotten through each technique style?
Check out this tutorial it may help answer your question: ua-cam.com/video/SxT-a5cSgmw/v-deo.html
@@KarenRiceArt thank you.
Thank you I really enjoyed your demonstration. The tape around your paper looks very strong, what do you use? I've not seen it in the shops.
I use framing tape (you can buy from Amazon and some art shops). Also washi tape.
@@KarenRiceArt Thank you I will buy some.
