I like the way you just start doing what you are going to teach without all of the explanation verbiage at the beginning of the video. Let's get to it, yea!
This is the coolest thing I've ever seen. I'm watching this on a loop, I can't wait to try this. Thank You so much for generosity, new sub, I can't believe I'm just finding you now.
Very beautiful method of painting the sky just by tilting the paper at different angles. Good way of painting the sky and some rare technique as shown by you. Thanks a lot God bless.
Oh my word - look at that 😆! Fabulous! I guess you could also use a pipette to drop the paint - the sky/clouds created here are amazing, as is the sea. Incredible 👌👏. Huge thanks - can’t wait to get sloshing 👍😜
As a newbie to watercolour I Can’t believe that the 300gsm paper put up with all those washes without really complaining!😅loved this video and your teaching style. Subscribed.
Agree with what others have said re this tutorial. Clear and concise, telling us what we need to know. Some artists forget to tell us all the details us novices need to know. Thank you Karen.
You have such a calming way to instruct hope to work with watercolors! I enjoy watching your instructions and always feel as though I’ll be successful using your techniques. Thanks

Lots of fun to watch the "extreme tilting," thank you Karen Rice. Somewhere I saw an video by an artist who creates very complex and layered landscapes and skycaps using this technique exclusively...amazing and it obviously lots of potential!

This is truly magical, I struggle with skies as a beginner, I will definitely give this a go, thank you so very much for this very beautiful and inspirational painting 😊😊x
Great demo on using the flow of paint in water to create wonderful effects. Echoed by the work by American artist Nita Engle and described in her book on experimental techniques in watercolour. Many thanks.
Love it. It is very nice. I never thought of painting and letting paint go over side to side and i used a silk sponge with white paint for clouds this is much easier! Brilliant!
Oh my gosh I am jumping up and down with excitement. This looks like so much fun! Going to introduce this video and method to my beginner students. It’s like you take all the fear away!

So beautiful and with so little brushwork! As usual, you make this look easy. I'm definitely going to try the sky technique first..... It's amazing 😍thanks Karen 🤗😊 xx

That was really fun to watch. You really captured everything so well. I loved you using the card for the rocks. That was really unexpected. I have subscribed. I look forward to watching some more of your genius.
Thank you once again! Where I am my paint dries in seconds so I am having a hard time keeping things wet. Just bought a new spritzer bottle so will try again! I tried wetting the back also but prefer the tape around the edges! You made a beautiful painting!
This is a lovely, dreamy painting Karen! I first saw this 'drip paint + tilt board' method used by Scott Swinson, an Australian watercolourist on YT.... but watching you add on your personal methods as well makes for a varied and exciting painting result! TFS!!
