    I had two strands of lights on my pre lit tree that weren't working. Bought this great tool and had them both working in a very short time. What a time saver and GREAT product!

    Hey Eddie first unplug the tree , second that tool has bulb sockets puller (you don't have to strain yourself ) ,third with the voltage sensor you work testing from the first bulb to the last , when the tester doesn't beep the bulb before that one is bad ! Just a little hint for you ! :)

    Never in a million years did I think this product would work but it did. I bought it today at Home Depot for $21. I carefully took it out of the package thinking that I'd return it tomorrow. After watching this helpful video I pulled the trigger 5-10 times on 3 different strands and couldn't believe my eyes when the lit up. WOW. great product. Already paid for itself.

    Great video!! I just saw an ad on TV for this product and I had to see how it *_really_* worked and your *real world* demonstration was very helpful and informative. It's not as simply as the ad implied ( "just click 3 times"), but I now understand how the process works and what the device is actually doing. Thank you for taking the time to show us your experience!

    Thank you so much for this video. It was so helpful to me. I purchased the Light Keeper Pro knowing that part of my tree did not light last year. But I was afraid to use it once I got it. I know nothing about electricity and after watching some other UA-cam videos for this tool, I was still not brave enough to try it out on my own. The other videos were over my head, I guess. But your explanation along with watching exactly how you did every step was so helpful. It gave me the confidence to try and within a few minutes I have my tree entirely lit! Don't pay any attention to the negative reviews on here. You did a great video and were of great service to me. Thank you so much!

    Thank you for posting this video. The one from the Light Keeper Pro company shows the strand laid out on a table. Fixing a pre lit tree, like you did, and I had, is more difficult. Now, thanks to your posting, our tree is working perfectly! Merry Christmas.

    Thank you. I appreciate this honest review and thorough demonstration of this tool because I was considering buying one. I've just gotten out all my lights out to decorate for Christmas and every one of the 7 strands I use for my Christmas tree is half out! That's $32 worth of lights which it's cheaper to simply buy this thing and replace one bulb instead of the whole strand. I'm tired of throwing out half-strands. I shudder to think of how much money I've wasted doing that for the last I don't know how many years now when I could've bought this and saved myself a bundle.

    Hi Eddie, great video! I bought one of those Light Keeper Pros too. I think it was about ten years ago and I love it! It is a bit confusing at first but it's so worth getting one. I've fixed so many things with it. 😊🎄 Like you, I fixed the lights on our artificial tree, I fixed two reindeer that we had, I've fixed a bunch of our garlands, and I also fixed a few sections of our icicle lights. It's definitely saved us a lot of money over the years. 😊 Something to add in regards to changing out the bulbs like you did would be, don't throw out all of the lights and their sockets (not sure what the thing that the lights are in is called so I'm just going to call them sockets 😉) you are getting rid of strands of lights. Save at least some of the lights that are still good and their sockets because you can use them on something else that needs them later on instead of buying more. Just be sure that the wattage or whatever is the same so you don't blow out all of the bulbs. You also may need a different sized socket so saving those too may come in handy. I know that they have for me. A small organizing case works great to store everything in. I bought one and I use every year. Another quick tip, always buy an extra set of lights when you are buying them, the extra set can be used to change the lights out here and there as they are needed. Too many lights out on a strand at one time isn't good for them. Thanks for sharing your video with all of us Eddie, you did a great job! Happy holidays! ⛄🎄⛄

    Good job. I owned one for several years and never knew how to use it. Maybe I was impatient (or in-patient)? Maybe I was wearing sunglasses? But your video was great, minus the Chief's shirt. Sorry - go Bears! But seriously, very good job explaining and demonstrating the functionality of this invention. No more will I hear my wife telling me, "get the light keeper pro and fix the tree lights." I work on networks and forensics but never took the time to see how this tool really works. It does. Sorry my wonderful wife. And if the Bear's are not in the bowl, then I am 99% behind the Chief's.

Didn't have to go to step 2 - or B (as he mentions in video). Great video to save and watch when you need a refresher course.

    The trigger sends a short pulse of high voltage through all the bulbs in the series loop, Mini light set bulbs are unique they (other then a red tipped blinker bulb) have a tiny wire shunt in each bulb that is supposed to react when a bulb burns out and create a circuit through the burned out bulb ,, they don;t always work , the high voltage pulse causes the bad shunt wire in the bulb to operate and complete the circuit through the bad bulb , of course this wont work with a bulb with a broken lead , or a missing bulb,, or broken wire.. using the voltage detector finds those kinds of circut breaks

    • @Marcoosianism
      @Marcoosianism 4 роки тому +1

      @@catw6998 The instructions indicate that if the defective shunt isn't corrected after 20 or so clicks then the problem is not a defective shunt. You can go to 30 if you want. Best to use a socket near the middle of the string so the strength of the pulse will be distributed more evenly among all the bulbs.

    Great vid, well done. But just a tip if I may,,,, Instead of tracing the entire stran, just place the tester on the wire that leads from one branch to the other. If the tester beeps on the wire leading to a branch, and, it beeps on the wire leading away from that same branch onto the next branch, then that branch is good. If the tester beeps on the wire leading onto a branch, but it does beep on the wire leading away from that same branch, then that is your problem branch,,,,
