Judging by your reaction to the taste it probably won't help too much but maybe pulsing the Sodaroni would help? It can sometimes make it smoother! (Also the reason they probably opted to make the drink out of fruit instead of actual pepperoni is because carbonated liquid pepperoni tastes like actual vomit)

Okay but the pulled pork and burger recipes are actually so fucking bomb. alot the recipes we altered to not have weird fancy ingredients like the chia seeds in the strawberry shake recipe we took out. but that pulled pork lasted two people over a week for multiple meals and it was delicious. alot of the recipes are hit or just okay, definitly worth checking the cook book out at least.

Another possible reason your yeast didn't foam is yeast likes warmth usually when i make sweet bread i turn on the heat in the house and wrap a warm towel around a bowl that is non metal. Yest doesn't like metal and likes warm but not too warm cause it will kill the yeast ❤
