Having encountered a few silent EVs while out on my bike, I have decided that when I'm Prime Minister I'll make it law that all EVs, and hybrids when running on their batteries, must emit this sound ua-cam.com/video/5cUwVLx8K9s/v-deo.html on a permanent loop.
