Agreed There is enough content in this one video for many. ...What is dear steak and how to cook it? How and why to do double digging? How to make Assiago cheese ? pretty soon you will be an expert at sour Dough. Oh yea and a little explanation of what you were doing with the fence wire in the beginning of this video. Why 2 wires? Why that area? And I personally do like seeing you do the chores and feed all the animals maybe once a week. Some vloggers show feeding every day and that gets a bit old but I don't even know what animals you have going now except for the cow And I presume chickens for eggs but I don't see them. I am very happy you are doing more videos but don't burn out as some have done.

This is a great Hollar video. You should name this video "The Magic of Ordinary Days." 🙏 Leading your cow and calf to their new pasture with a rope is magic, Ben preparing garden beds for his family food is magic, Meg making sour dough for her man is magic, family holding hands and praying before a meal is magic, little Buggie enjoying her dinner at mom's side is magic. This is why we love the Hollars content and my family never misses a vlog. ❤

My wife uses rye flour to keep her sourdough starter going. It seems to work better than regular flour. She also experimented with drying some for long term storage. She was able to reconstitute it after a number of months. Also sourdough English muffins are amazing.

I love sourdough too! Its has took me wks but I have a starter now, I have tried the Dutch oven method like you also which worked great but give a try putting it in a loaf pan also, I do the stretch and fold technique and then put it in a loaf pan in ref over night and before baking I cover it w another loaf pan inverted to create steam and get the same rise loke you do w a Dutch oven. I like it in a loaf pan its much easier to make sandwiches with. Best of luck w sourdough. So yummy🙂

I love you guys and your family.
    How old are the boys?
I've been watching you guys for a while now and you have so much going on but I don't feel like I know the boys.
I love the bare feet of the boys. It reminds me of my childhood.

Is there anything that the 2 of you can't do or haven't tried or haven't
    mastered?
And I agree with you that there are lots of skills they use to teach in schools that are needed on a homestead.
Why did they stop teaching all those skills?

When I was growing up my mom had sourdough for years! She would even use it to make biscuits, cornbread, and pancakes in addition to bread. Those sourdough biscuits were excellent. It doesn't matter what time of day/night I watch your vids, if Meg is cooking I nearly starve to death with everything you make!!! All that beautiful milk from Daisy is going to make delicious cheese, yogurt, etc. Do you ever make buttermilk from it? My aunt used to make buttermilk from her cow's milk and occasionally gave some to mom, so good. Loving your daily vlogs. Ben, the garden beds you are preparing are going to raise a bountiful harvest this year!!
