Thank you!!!! We live in the N. Ga mountains where mold & mildew destroy anything in the garage, like where we store our treasured lifetime acquired Christmas decorations, that we can’t bring into the house anymore because if the smell:

Haha, I have a REALLY hard time not thinking of you as Olivia after having grown up watching Road to Avonlea (Olivia was hands down my favorite character, btw :3), but thanks SO much for the tip, I definitely need to look into this stuff. We have a recurring mold problem (REALLY bad) in one of our closets. Hopefully this'll fix it.

@TroyB1966 Odd maybe, but not magic! Yes, Concrobium works for moldy window frames, although it may have to be reapplied occasionally to compensate for continuing condensation rinsing away the fine residue of spore-blocking film.

Use Cleaning Vinegar, it's 10% acetic acid, compared to regular Vinegar at 5%. very cheap and works perfect

I am cleaning out my mother's 1000 sq. ft. cinder block basement. I will paint, then acid stain & seal the floors. I bought a power washer to complete this huge task. It had mildew on the walls from an old flood for which FEMA came to our city. I was going to bleach to get rid of the staining, then pressure wash with mildew remover. Should I use the Concrobium before or after I paint. I assumed it should be the final step, but maybe it should go on the bare walls then get trapped in the paint.

I want to fog my HVAC with Concrobium. But my coil is in a metal case that is only 1 inch away from the cabinet. How do I introduce the fog into the HVAC enough that it pulls it all through the system with all the vents closed but the furthest away, when the only time I get any air suction is when the filter is in place?
I would be SO GRATEFUL if you could tell me what I should do. We are pretty desperate here.

get a sheet metal cutter and cit a 10"x10" square out of your plenum. Then when you are done buy a 12' square piece of sheet metal and metal screw the sheet metal back over the hole. its that easy

Is it safe to fog this stuff if you have a furnace, oil tank and water heater in the basement??

    • @RuffmanEntertainment
      @RuffmanEntertainment 2 роки тому

Yup, the steam and salts in the fog may leave a very thin dusty layer on surfaces, but won’t combust or harm the equipment in your basement.

As a Expert in the field, I have the following comments:
    1) concrobium does not covalently bond to surfaces (i.e. not permanent).
    2) Using spray bottles worsens the situation (a damp-wipe method is optimal)
    4) Fogging is useless (it is only good for weighing down particulates)
    5) If you remove mouldy materials, and fix the source, no chemicals are required.
    6) Even Level 1 mould growth requires training and medical prescreening (Environmental Abatement Council of Ontario - Section B, #2)

I think most of the hysteria about mold is a con. I think you have made your living perpetuating the con. Of course you don't want a simple solution. A whole industry count on Nit Wits in space suite to separate good people from there money! People, stop the water source. High humidity, use a good humidifier (maybe April air 1820) Clean or throw away things that all covered with it. The flogger probably will help.

We've been battling molds from our ceiling for 4 years now. We have repaired the leak last year, yet the still mold prevails. We suspect that the mold may be "Toxic Stachibotrys" as it does look like this on our ceiling:

I appreciate the information on "how to kill molds", we'll give it a try.
