    CIRS Group-
I’m wondering if you guys might consider doing some “how to” videos or “day in the life” videos regarding keeping your space tidy and clean, and how to tend to pets as a CIRS sufferer.
Do you clean your living space daily? How often do you deep clean?
Do you wash the body of your animal daily or weekly as well as daily feet cleaning? What do you use?
It’s difficult to conceptualize the steps of cleaning my space adequately with so much fatigue and brain fog. I learn best through seeing someone else do their thing.
Also wondering if I should stop allowing my cat who has been affected by the moldy house into my bed. I’m very conflicted about this as he doesn’t have a companion and the family that I love with don’t allow him in their room.
Thanks for all the hard work you’re doing. It’s a godsend.

Interesting suggestion! I will contemplate how we can make this work for a podcast format too. Barbara's provider put in her doctor's orders to "keep loving on Rosie" so I would imagine the same goes for the kitty ❤️

Thanks for the conference debrief. Loved the tip relating to not making the bed for dust mites.

After swiffering my walls... I was shocked... I will do it monthly. And see how often after that. Probably a quarterly thing.

Yes! If you are particularly susceptible to actinos, you may actually want to clean weekly. But do what you can!

@@colintracey7874No, not on the walls. I just used the dry swiffer to get the "dust" (if any). But I realize I've lived here 30yrs. NEVER dusted the walls like this.
Curious if I should try the Wet version... Now...

This is perfect timing. I'm just about to start remediation. No professionals around here have ever heard of of CIRS or even have a clue how to properly do the remediation, so I'm going to have to learn all this info and direct the people to do it right. Thankfully, there doesn't seem to be massive amounts of remediation to do, but it's nice to have some ideas on the step by step process. BTW, what do you think about mold dogs? I had a mold dog come to my house and found it very interesting.

Oh, another thought about cleaning - what happens to us when we get very old and haven't the ability to do the cleaning ourselves and can't afford to pay for it?

    • @thecirsgroup
      @thecirsgroup  Рік тому +1

Yes! Barbara here. I plan to pass along any tests and plans for remediation I get from local mold inspectors/contractors over to one of the experts that spoke at CIRSx for a second opinion/blessing. I think hiring one of them as a consultant on a project like remediating your home is a great insurance policy to make sure the people you hire are doing things as correctly as possible. Links to all the experts are in the show notes. We are not affiliated with them in anyway, but were just impressed with the knowledge they brought to the conference and would trust them with our own environments.

@@gailivey2015 I think part of the process of healing from CIRS is to continue to be as healthy and able bodied as we can be for as long as possible. That's why, beyond CIRS treatment, Jacie and I focus efforts on building strength and endurance for our longevity. That said, if you're working now, its always wise to save and invest for your future. Start thinking about those costs now and save for them.

I am living in a new apartment building (I'm the first tenant) from living in a mold infested house; you could literally see it in restroom (yellow, green pink black) walls, shower, tub, and kitchen around wall and under sink.
How long did you take cholestyramine? I have been taking it 6+ weeks and do feel better and can thread a needle now. But when I slow down on the dosing it seems like my symptoms start coming back.
