- MY PLANT COLLECTION - RARE SUCCULENTS Variegated Haworthia Truncata Gasteria & More. I have been growing and collecting succulents (some cacti) for over 15 years. I mainly collect hardy succulents like Sempervivum and Sedum. However, I use to have a vast array of warmer climate succulents, but I have stripped that collection down to my favorite, neglect tolerant, and most rare ones.

My best friend, Made an excellent video. I really liked it. Beauty is extraordinary. Thank you very much for the video.
AMAZING WOW
Amazing. I wish my husband would share my hobby of planting cacti too so we could do it together. Your plants look really healthy and beautiful
Maybe someday, your husband will get into it. You two could check out a cacti and succulent display at a big conservatory. That might plant a seed, pun intended. Many thanks to you, and enjoy the rest of your week.
Running Into Myself Hi there!! Did as you suggested today and pronto, he's growing into it. LOL. He'll never be planting or taking care of our cactuses but at least he doesn't complain about the high cost anymore and even plans for and builds the extension shed for our cactuses. Thank you for replying.
That's wonderful news! You are very welcome, and many thanks to you. If you get a chance, stop by my plant channel. Here is the link: ua-cam.com/channels/8voBl9wzQ_3AwosJLxtmOA.html

LOL! I was watching this video and then I realized its you 'Vegged out' haha! so happy to see you love to put Crystals around your plants too, my passions in life are cacti, succulents and crystals :-) I have another You Tube channel too on crystals called 'Dreaming of Avalon' where I talk all about my love for crystals You have such a wonderful collection of beautiful Succulents 1:58 is a Amethyst spirit quartz :-) GORGEOUS plants and crystals, thanks a million for sharing and sending tons of love and happiness from Ireland and have a BRILLIANT Sunday XXXX
I love crystals and plants of all kinds, especially succulents. I will absolutely check out your other channel. I am grateful for the indoor succulents that I kept, but I use to have soooo many.
My collecting, growing, and propagating are getting back in full swing. I don't want to hyper-focus on the future, but my plan is to make everything way better than it has ever been. I am very excited about it, and I plan on documenting most of it on my plant channel "Vegged Out".
You seem like a very grateful person, and I'll bet you have a lot to say about gratitude. I'm vlogging "30 Days Of Gratitude" on this channel. I have had issues with gratitude in the past, and I decided to do something about it. It has been transformative, and it is responsible for me even starting "Vegged Out". I love hearing about what other people are grateful for in the comments. I'm sure you have a lot to say :-) No pressure, just thought I would mention it. Have a fantastic day, thanks for the name of that crystal and all of your kind words.
Running Into Myself XXXXXX

Me too
Hey! I noticed you mention Renny's Haworthia's, I was just checking his store today but all plants go for $300-$500? I know this is an old video but that seems wrong lol
Please put your cacti in a sunnier window. They'll go scrawny at the top.
Your accent 😍
Julie Seal 😁
What's the gritty mix you use for your haworthias? They look like croutons haha
It's called "Akadama". It's probably as crunchy as croutons, but I wouldn't eat it :-) Many thanks, and have a great weekend ahead.
Running Into Myself ahh yes, Renny sells them also. Was that a Mammilaria Elongata?
I only buy my Akadama from Renny. I figure; Use what the master uses. I think it is an Elongata. I just stumbled upon an article and some pictures of one the other day.
Yeah I've been thinking of getting into Akadama but I've heard that they break down after about 2 years. Have you had the same problem?
I've noticed a little break-down, but it hasn't been a problem. I notice it more in pots that are outside all year. Generally, many succulents need repotted about every two years, but I have Haworthia that have been in the same tiny pot of Akadama for over 3 years, no problems. Keep in mind that I don't usually top water my inside plants, and I don't move the pots very often. I think that these two factors would probably reduce break down. However, my outside plants are top watered, but I attribute their more noticeable Akadama break-down to changing temperatures/seasons, more than the aforementioned factors.
That long cactus at 2:22 is a Mammillaria elongata
Someone already told me, but thank you anyway.
Hi, very cool Haworthias :)
Do you know if variegation can be obtained by growing from seeds or only by cloning mother plants ?
Sophie there is about 1 in 50 chance of getting a vargatied Haworthia if grown from seed, have been growing plants all my life🇫🇯😀
The cactus at 2:59 is a rebutia cactus
I actually have the name to that one. It's a Rebutia Miniscula. Thanks though.
What's the name of this plant? Or this species of plant?
If you want to see more, I have a plant channel now. Feel free to come on over. Here is the link: ua-cam.com/channels/8voBl9wzQ_3AwosJLxtmOA.html Thanks for watching, and have a wonderful day.
Please share your potting mix 🙏
I use various types of mixes; I like to experiment. However, most of the Haworthia are grown in pure Akadama.
Running Into Myself OK thanks for information
whats the name of that cactus at 2:23?? its awesome
Sorry, but I don't know. I wish I did. Thanks and have a great week.
It is a Brain cactus 🌵
So what did u do with the other plants?
What's the haworthia at 3:59 and where can I get myself one?
It is a Haworthia "Mirror Ball". Search "Renny's Haworthia", and go from there. I think he currently has some available. Thanks, and have a great week.
your haworthis look so full. How do you water them?
I water them when they are completely dry, and I bottom water them most of the time. Eventually, I will be covering this topic on my plant channel. Thanks for watching, and enjoy the rest of your weekend.
1:50 its called a Spirit Quartz
Someone already told me, but thank you anyway.
