So I read an article about her, her parents divorced when she was very young, then she went to live with her grandparents in the rural area. When she grow up, she tried various job at the city.. once upon a time, she got a call that her grandma was sick so she left everything and cameback to hometown to take care of her nana. She was inspired by her brother who uploads singing videos on Meipai (Chinese social media) and thinking that she could do one of that too. Over the years through trials and errors she was able to build her channel.
After learning this about her, I was really impressed. All i can say is, she is truly a hard working person and never leaves her family. We all should be inspired!!
Ps: All that woodworking and cooking skill she learned from her grandpa. Apart from this channel, I heard that she is also a bussineess woman 😍

Tamales are made in dried corn husks, corundas are made in fresh corn leafs, which are even shaped like the leaves she's using in this video, only longer, and are wrapped in a very similar way, then cooked in water exactly as she does.
They would be if LiziQi used corn flour and not sticky rice and used corn husk instead of Sasa leaves.
We have tamales in China too. Often served as breakfast. The only thing different from Mexico version is that we only add sugar and lard for the flavor. This isn’t Chinese tamale.

The Dragon Boat Festival originated from the celestial worship, and evolved from the dragon sacrifice in ancient times. Later, it was said that Qu Yuan jumped the river on this day, and it also became a memorial to Qu Yuan.At the end of the Warring States Period, Qu Yuan, a minister respected by the people, was slandered and ostracized by the nobility and jumped into the river to commit suicide. People worried that his body would be eaten by fish, so they came up with a way to wrap the rice with leaves and throw it into the river, hoping that the fish would eat the rice. This rice wrapped in leaves becomes zongzi. People eat zongzi on this day of the year to commemorate Qu Yuan.In addition to zongzi, dragon boat racing is the most important activity of the day.
