Next is choosing a size. There are seven common storage unit sizes to choose from:
5x5 unit - best for storing small items this unit is usually the smallest size at most facilities and has about the same dimensions as a small walk-in closet

10x20 - can fit the contents of a 2-3 bedroom apartment or house and is roughly the size of a one car garage; think multiple bedroom or dining room sets
10x30 - the largest size unit you'll find at most facilities and it about the size of a two car garage; most suitable for vehicle storage
Last thing, remember that most storage units have an average height of 8ft.

So a 5 by 15 will hold a Queen mattress and a baby crib with some box clothes and some kitchen dinner ware set no furniture.
