Thank you! One of the things I thought about a lot while I was laid up was starting to incorporate some of the interviews and documentaries. Appreciate this and you!
Would love to see you reacting to this as well as other docs/interviews! A good one would also be Eminem's induction to the rock n roll hall of fame, including Dre's speech as well as Em's performance and speech@@FreyaReacts
The friendship and loyalty between Em and Dre, and between Em and 50 (Em was a mentor to 50 the way Dre was to Em, as stated by 50 himself) is probably the most pure example of respect and loyalty in the industry. Dre risked his career by signing Em and Em refused to do the Superbowl show if 50 wasnt included.
Thank y'all who came to the premier! So glad to "see" y'all ang get the connect in real time! Just a reminder -- we're here all day. New premieres on the hour, every hour all day -- so stay tuned (because UA-cam will only send 2 notifications!) Thank y'all, again, so much! 💛💛💛
This was some real shit, back before not just men, but fuck no one talked about mental health. Eminem didn't let his friend drown in depression, he really did reach out. He def paid him back, being a for fucking real friend. Nice to see you back, Freya!
Yeah, I'm gathering that. I guess Dr. Dre had a lot of different things going on and yeah he said it here in the song, he looked around and all he saw was "Slim." Man, I wish I had a friend that ride or die! I have some great friends but, I don't know that I have an Eminem in my corner. Bummer. Thanks so much for being here! Appreciate you!
I love your reactions and I love how much your Eminem knowledge has gone up and what you're learning. We have all experienced this transition and what I would give to be in your place and discover everything for the first time. Even so, I see many of your reactions repeated because they fascinate me how you react, in this case your Freya. If you allow me, I would tell you two songs to relate to that I think you would love. One is "Bad Husband" and the other is "Believe", both by Eminem. You won't be disappointed.
Thank you and wow, thanks for sharing. Seems like a lot of tragedy, my goodness. I could not, do not want to imagine losing a child. I can't imagine that kind of pain.
Glad you're back!! A couple of weeks ago Dr. Dre got his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Eminem and Snoop showed up for him!! It was cool to see some of my childhood heroes together again. They all went on Jimmy Kimmel later that night, they did a couple of skits that will probably make you laugh 😂
they explain some of it in a song but basically they were on their way to take over the world then Dre lost his son, lost Tupac, the Death Row stuff, beef with Easy E, Divorce, beef with Ice Cube when NWA broke up. my interpretation witch is just my opinion they starting out on top of the world and their life was flying at 100 mph and the bigger they got everything just came to a crashing end. a lot of happy memories but a lot of pain getting to this point. from things ive heard Dre say Eminem saved him as much as he save Eminem
Wow, these guys have endured so much. I think that is maybe why I have felt so connected in many of the songs... I mean, I'm no Dr. Dre. But I can draw parallels to my own life and relate to the emotion of the song. It's been a wild ride but so amazing! Thank you so much for sharing all this. And thank you for being here! Much appreciated!
In 2021 Dre had a brain aneurysm and was in the hospital and almost died. After that he had 3 strokes. That was showing him looking over his life and as a perfectionist he feels he could have done better, avoided pain, and done what he should have done.
I've been watching you for a while, and your voice is so soothing and calm to listen to. You're one of the go-to channels for this sort of stuff for a lot of us, and you're doing great at catching things and piecing things together considering rap can be quite hard for newer listeners to get used to. Took me about 2 or 3 years before I was finally able to hear fast rapping, and start catching super hidden bars and doubles myself when listening to songs. So your rap ear grows, and if it's a genre you're starting to appreciate and such, you'll notice progess :) Just to fill in the end for you. The gravestone at the end that Dre kneels in front of belongs to Eric Wright, better known as the Rapper Eazy E. He was Dre's friend back in the days and was in the famous rap group NWA with him. To make things a little sadder, Dre and Eazy E were fighting and dissing each other a lot towards the end of Eazy's life, they stopped talking, hated each other's guts, etc etc. The group NWA broke up. Eventually they just started letting each other be, but were mostly still at odds and not talking when Eazy E unfortunately passed away in 1995 from AIDs-induced Pneumonia RIP. Supposedly Eazy's attorney told Dre that he had talked with him and Eazy had made peace with Dre, but ever since Dre has always regretted and felt upset over ending things the way that it did since they never got to talk things out face to face, saying he felt sad that he couldn't hang out and have more happy times with him.
Thank you! Yeah, I didn't realize just how perfect a first song was until I heard it for the second time actually. It really was the right song for coming back considering the circumstances. Thanks so much for being here!
Very good reaction as per usual my friend. Honest and from the head and heart. Sorry about the late watching of these. Just have had a very busy Thursday and night
Hey Freya good to have you back. I figured I'd comment early because I'm going to be out all day for a religious holiday. Much love as always and I can't wait to watch it
Thank you so much! Hope you and your family have a wonderful day! We're ready to rock and roll here so there will be plenty of content for ya when you're ready! 💛
Nice reaction and such a good song. The woman who appears to float like an angel in the video and sings Skylar Grey's part is actually not Skylar, but a model. However, Skylar is still in the video and can be seen at 18:42 standing next to Eminem in a white doctor's coat.
Oh wow -- thank you. Yeah, I guess there was a time she wasn't showing here face? I should never assume! But so cool that she had an appearance here! Thanks for sharing.
I enjoyed your reaction. I'm very glad you are doing better and back. You should eventually react to more Dr. Dre. The songs I Recommend are Let Me Ride, Keep Their Heads Ringing and Still D.R.E.
Dre had friends die, his marriage broke down, and he lost a son. That's why he looks sad when he's reminiscing, he's thinking about everything he's lost
10:10 "How can you pay that back?" (pay back Dr. Dre) I don't think Eminem can, really, pay Dr. Dre back. Can't pay back Dre with money. Dre has millions of dollars. Can't rap on his albums because Dre can do that himself very well. He can't make Dre famous because Dre is already famous. etc etc. Dre has everything he needs & wants... Probably by Eminem being loyal & having Dre's back is how Eminem can pay Dre back? But these 2 seem to have a good relationship. I doubt "paying him back" is an issue. By Eminem being one of the popular rappers & selling millions of records makes Dre look good. "Dre can pick stars" "can create a star" or something a kin to this. "Gave Eminem his start". Which is great of Dre to do. And Eminem took the opportunity given to him & got and Erned his spot in hip hop history. And has the respect of most of his peers. What makes Eminem greater also makes Dr. Dre greater IMO. 👍 I like both guys. But I prefer Eminems old albums. But whatever. I love "Purple Pills, Stan, Drug Ballad, Without Me, Guilty Conscious, Love the way you lie, No Love, etc etc. And Dre, I can play Dre's albums without skipping a song. The NWA stuff is still pretty good too. The Soul Assassins colab is awesome. My favorite Dr. Dre song currently is "Puppet Master" ft B-Real. #Love_it 😋 Dr. Dre - Puppet Master ua-cam.com/video/WcO1id1bp30/v-deo.html

Eminem & dr. dre - The full story of a friendship, explains how everything happened between them
Thank you! One of the things I thought about a lot while I was laid up was starting to incorporate some of the interviews and documentaries. Appreciate this and you!

Em 2nd verse is one of the most realest verse in hip hop history…
Nobody wanted to fuk with a white boy dre im cryin in this booth
That's what you call "Artistry" when you can feel everything they're saying.

Dr. Dre lost his son to a drug overdose. He was struggling with coping. Welcome back
Thank you and wow, thanks for sharing. Seems like a lot of tragedy, my goodness. I could not, do not want to imagine losing a child. I can't imagine that kind of pain.
@@FreyaReacts I couldn't imagine either. Tragic 😥
That second verse when he talks about how Dre risked his career for him, gets me every time.
It was YOU, who believed in me!
a wonderful and gentle review of an amazing friendship.
also, dre if damn ripped, good on him.
this song give me goosebumps
It's my 28th birthday today, thank you for this present. Hope everything goes well for you.
