I kinda like the idea of this. I love collecting window envelopes of all shapes and sizes for just this reason - I think they make great little elements for junk journals. I think this would be a cute thing to add as ephemera in a junk journal and will probably make a couple. I prefer decorating the envelopes, myself, but I think they look okay plain as well from this demo. I have a lot of envelopes saved too, but I always think “Oooh, that’s a good one.” Sorry that your hubby doesn’t understand junk journaling. We’re actually recycling and know for sure what happens to the things we use, unlike recycling programs where so much of the stuff just ends up in a landfill anyway. I hope you have fun using up lots of your envelopes making your art. ❤️

Those are cool envelopes. I have some, but so far, I don't think I've used any of them. I think Kathleen Mower likes to use them to wrap around a page and have windows pockets on both sides. Thanks for watching and for your comment.
@@sandratheprocraftinator945 Aw, thank you. Yes, do look up Kathleen. She is a great teacher and makes lovely journals. I think you will love her. She's @BeAgainBooks Tell her I said Hi.

Hello Laura. It can be a bit confusing. It might help when you get your envelopes cut to the right sizes to put them in the right order, shortest in front to tallest in back. Then number the envelopes one to six (or however many you’re using). We’ll say six for this example. Put one through three in one stack and four through six in another. Then pair them-one and six, two and five, and three and four. Attach those pairs together with your fabric strips, thinking about where you want the windows to be placed. For the front/back pair I wanted the fabric on the outside, so I put the shortest one window facing up next to the back envelope, front on the right of the back, which has the window placed down so it will be inside. The other two signatures I put the fabric on the other side, but all of them could have the strips on the same side as the cover set. I hope that makes sense. It’s easier to understand after you make one. You don’t have to do a waterfall, which might be easier on the first attempt. Thanks for watching and for your comment. I hope you will give it a try.
I’m new to all this but I have been saving envelopes and think this is a terrific idea! I’m trying to figure out how tall the first envelope is. I’m thinking 6 inches? And then 1/4 inch more for each envelope after? I’ll be looking for other videos by you and subscribing. You are a good teacher.
Hello Marylin, and welcome. Yes, i made the front envelope 6 inches tall and increased by 1/4 inch for each one going back. Actually, you can make the first one whatever size you choose. For instance, depending on how tall the window is you might want to adjust it up or down to be more proportional with the window. Thank you for your encouraging comments and for subscribing. Jump right in and have fun. There are no rules for junk journaling and mistakes are just design opportunities. Many of my favorite things happened because I was covering up a mistake. Thanks for stopping by.
First time here. Love the idea, tfs! I’ve been collecting all those envelopes for many ephemera ideas I’ve saved on YT. Perhaps marking the envelopes would help demo it easier? Also dollar tree has $1.25 fabric rolls in many varieties. Cotton and not too thin imo. PS: I hear water boiling or steamer kinda background sound. May be it’s the AC?
Welcome and so glad you love the idea. That is a great suggestion about the fabric from Dollar Tree--plenty for junk journal projects and inexpensive. Sorry about the AC noise in the background. It was too hot that day not to have it on. I was hoping that the sound wouldn't be heard on the video. My voice needs to be louder and the AC quieter. Sigh. Thank you for watching and for your comment.

Love this video. I too love paper crafts and envelopes in particular are fun in my opinion. I have a channel but been away from doing any videos for a couple years maybe and just recently started paper crafts again. Watching from SE NC.
I'm glad you're getting back into paper crafts. There's so much fun to be had in creating. If you start making videos again, please let me know. Thank you for your comment and for watching.

Thank you! 🌹❤️
You are most welcome. Thank you for watching.
I really should make one!
I hope you will. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment.
I found a kool envelope today from BofA with a long window, never seen one like that
Those are cool envelopes. I have some, but so far, I don't think I've used any of them. I think Kathleen Mower likes to use them to wrap around a page and have windows pockets on both sides. Thanks for watching and for your comment.
@@lindaspaperworks I’m still watching, I’ll have to look up Kathaleen
@@sandratheprocraftinator945 Aw, thank you. Yes, do look up Kathleen. She is a great teacher and makes lovely journals. I think you will love her. She's @BeAgainBooks Tell her I said Hi.

NEW SUBSCRIBER, i really like the ephemera holder idea tyvm for sharing!
Welcome, Thelma, and thanks for subscribing. I’m so glad you like the idea.
Thst was interesting but kind of confusing. I might give it a try sometime. Tfs.
Cute ❤
Thank you!
Lovely❤
Thank you, Darlene. I appreciate your watching and your comment.
So fun!
Hi Becky. So glad you like it. Thanks so much for your comment and for watching.
Great recycling
Thank you. Hope you have some fun with making a few.
