I think I'm gonna like Olmar. He's trying really hard to be himself and not be bound by others' expectations of being like his father. He said he didn't care about the wheat farm, but when the retainers step on the wheat, he showed concern about the wheat.
Translation Notes RETAINER The Viking social class of free men, greater than thralls (slaves) but lower than noble jarls: in short, the common man, KARL. The Old English form of the word was "churl," which eventually evolved into its modern pejorative meaning: one who is so common as to be low class or boorish.
Harald is king of Denmark, Canute is presumptive-king of England but he's dealing with the Anglo-Saxons revolting right now(over religion and not ethnicity curiously enough). The two brothers love eachother, all the succession conflict in the first season was between various other Aristocrats plotting. King Harald is putting full support behind King Canute's campaign, they'll both be two separate independent kingdoms but in a close bilateral alliance.
Ketil is more than rich rich, slaves back then were a similar kind of asset to a car- a big investment and not something you bought willy nilly. And slaves with skills even more so- so Ketil owns like, multiple Ferraris. Thorfinn was probably cheap but Einar can farm, speaks Norse pre-trained, and is strong and in good shape. Boi wasn't cheap and Ketil just sorta decided to buy him within a few minutes.
@@teddymecheto Yes, but only when it was in regard to Askelad because that was his curse and lifeline at the same time. For an example in episode 18 or 17 when Thorkel ask him about Thors life in Iceland, Thorfin shut the conversation completely because he simply doesn't want to remember one of his biggest regrets; not returning to his siater and sickly mother and also not following Thors wishes. Revenge by killing Askelad was like a wall in his mind blocking a dam full of regrets and guilt for his many sins buried deep inside. Now it's gone and this is the result.
He used to talk so less in Season 1 cuz he thought that everything except his revenge is meaningless and he doesn't talk much in Season 2 cuz everything's meaningless to him now.
Thorfinn just looks like he did back in S1 episode 23, after he lost to Askeladd and was hit with that cold reality check. I am wondering too how our boy, will find his spark back... the op is hinting.
@@mr.nobody6143 Damn so he went to prison and then he got out with Leif's help... then finally ran away from Leif, the S1 finale really had a lot going on.
Yo not gonna lie Stardew Valley anime looking kinda fire. Jokes aside great episode and reaction. Vinland Saga about to hit different this season. OP and ED factual bangers!
Thorfin is remembering his days with Askelad not because he burned Einar's home; he's remembering those days because he probably keep aking himself "How many 'Einar' homes have I destroyed?" He isn't just without purpose aa everyone love keep repeating; he is also filled with regret and guilt and doesn't feel he deserve ot be a free man let alone live at all. Killing Askelad was like a wall in his mind and heart keeping a dam filled with his sins buried deep down inside him.
The lyrics of ed, "There's no freedom without love", I can't tell you how much important is that line in the context of Attack on Titan, it's just that people tend to ignore it so easily.
14:47 "he's seen it" and he's done it too lmao
Yeah, unfortunately

Olmar needs a reality check. His swordsman ship isn't doing anything on the battlefield.

The full version of the op was released on yt earlier btw!
I need it in my life 😱
It's a banger
so glad you're still reacting to this!! super excited for this season!
Thorfinn is 18 at the end of last season. He's currently 19.

The music (including the ost's) this season are too good🙌🏾
The soundtrack at the ending sounded straight out of Christopher Nolan's batman.
10:28 it’s floki but I’m guessing you know that now since you had to get a image of him
keep in mind that thorfinn could easily use his combat skills to escape and become free that way
Yes! That's exactly right another thing that makes me think he doesn't want to leave or at least doesn't have ambition to
True depression. Staying put. Trapped in your own cage.
I mean yeah, but there's nowhere for him to go now
This minecraft arc looking good with a masterpiece opening and a great ending song

Thorfinn was always quiet. this man had barely any lines in season one. There were episodes this man didn't speak a single word.
When he spoke he barked A LOT though he always had something to say

I wonder if the village thorfin attacked when he was a kid is the same as Einar’s. At least it looks like they hint it
Einar said the first time the village was attacked it was England's army so nope Thorfinn couldn't have been there
it's not, it was the english army. the danish atacked when thorfinn was already a slave

I love that the series is taking time to flesh out the new characters, like slow roasting a fine steak
p.s. did you watch that new AoT trailer?
Erm, Thorfinn is a farmer now, idk if you noticed
and so continue the adventures of Thorfarm
I am sad for him becoming a man of few words

you off the bean this episode ngl lmao
The character you thought looked like the master was named Floki. Or just go by blockhead how Thorkell calls him. 😁
Hi first comment. As soon as I get the notification teddy uploaded I click. Like before I watch and then watch. Keep up
Thank you!!
Wowowoowow
