I was fortunate enough to see Scream 2 during its original theatrical release and Wes Craven was unknowingly making a statement that would become even more true 20 years later...
Still to this day, I'm kind of upset how Randy gets killed the way he did. And in board daylight like that! I also hated how Dewey got stabbed... again in the SAME spot! Also the twist was interesting too.
I love self aware horror movies! I have a Scream tattoo. Another good one is The Cabin in the Woods. It was filmed around 2009 but didn't get released until after Chris Hemsworth made Thor.
Some fun facts for you. 1. During CiCi (Sarah Michelle Gellar) scene there's quite a few things happening. She was talking to Selma Blair on the phone before she talked to ghostface and in between. They co-stared in "Cruel Intentions" together and when they were talking on the phone they were talking about Bailey on "Party of Five" which was the tv series that Neve Campbell (Sidney) was doing during all of the three Screams. Also, Jennifer Love Hewitt was also in "Party of Five" as Baileys girlfriend thats who they were talking about regarding to a break up. Which she also co-star in IKWYDLS with SMG. She also turned on a vampire movie as a reference to her Buffy. Sarah Michelle Gellar was very busy in 97 she was doing this, I know what you did last summer and 2nd season of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. - Neve was also really busy in the late 90's. Same year Scream 96 came out her and Skeet Ulrich (Billy) did "The Craft" together, she was doing her tv series "Party of Five" and also filmed "Wild Things" with Kevin Bacon and Matt Dillon in 97 the same year Scream 2 came out. Courtney Cox (Gale) was doing "Friends" the whole time she was doing "Scream, Scream 2 and 3. 2. When Randy mentioned about Gales nude pictures and how her head was on Jennifer Aniston body it was a funny towards "Friends". Aswell with David Schwimmer playing Dewey in Stab especially since he plays Ross as Monica's (Courtney Cox) brother on "Friends". 3. Originally it was supposed to be Ms. Loomis hiring Derek and Hallie as the killers and Mickey as the supportive friend to Sidney but it got leaked while filming so they changed it to Ms. Loomis and Mickey as the killers. Which im glad they changed it regarding to Derek.
They can't just break the car window without potentially waking up the very person trying to kill. That's why Sydney decided not to take his mask off after she just accidentially honked the loud car horn because if she tried it again, she could fall on the horn again trying to keep balance, or simply taking off the mask at that point probably would have woke him up, which again, would be bad...
Just want to point out that it wasn’t the fact Cotton just wanted to be famous it was more of the fact he already was, and basically he gets his career and named ruined all because two kids framed him for A murder. I see it more as trying to get back the life he was already use to living losing everything can be pretty traumatic when your innocent 😂😂
Finally 😅 now do all of them, 3,4,5, and 6...best franchise ever!!! Mickey is considered to be one of the best killers because he managed to manipulate sid, making her doubt Derek and in turn him dying. You truly get to see the effect it had on her in the next one.

I giggled when Rob said "they always kill the most famous ones" it's ironic because while she's iconic now, at the time she wasn't. They had just filmed the Buffy pilot around the same time she did this movie.
Buffy fan here. Sarah filmed this between the first and second seasons of buffy during the summer hiatus. Her hairsyle us the same one she had at the beginning of season 2. So she wasn't quite famous, but she wasn't a nobody either.
@Mermaidguts buffy premiered in March 97, she most likely filmed it early that summer and still had the hair when buffy began filming for season 2 of buffy. She had long hair in the first season.
Dewey was Sidney’s friend Tatum’s brother. And Sid’s mom had an affair with both Cotton Weary and Billy’s dad. Billy and Stu framed Cotton for her mom’s mrdr.
@@gabrielleroux2333 I agree. My point is that the movie is definitely a horror movie because it's a slasher. Ghostface falling over the couch kills me every time. This one is particularly ridiculous 😂 2 & 3 aren’t my favorite Screams but they have to be watched. 4, 5 & 6 get more horror though😅
Ahhhh you're watching the best scary movie franchise EVER. Please tell me you're going to keep going with all 6. What I love about this movie is that the cast is Elite. You have Omar Epps and Jada Pickett Smith acting so flawlessly in the opening act, they were big movie stars getting killed so quickly like Drew Barrymore. Imagine watching that scene while sitting in a movie theater, it had to be creepy AF. Then they top that by killing off Sarah Michelle Gellar who was the It girl of tv and teen movies. The play on sequels was amazing and the motive of Billy's mom was even better. This one is in my top 3.
I've had this theory for as long as I can remember regarding the car scene. I believe Mickey was knocked out originally, but when Sid hit the horn, I think it woke him up but pretended to still be knocked out. That way, the girls mostly Sidney were out of the car since he wasn't allowed to actually kill her and for her to be lure to the theater building for Ms. Loomis. Because he got out WAY too quickly after they did and then did like a syke trick, making them think they are safe just to turn around and kill Hallie to mess with Sid mentally and emotionally even more.
One of the clues regarding to Mickey that most missed is that he always had a camera on him. The funny thing is Randy nailed it when him and Dewey were listing suspects the whole boyfriend thing is old and want to break new ground and how Mickey the freaky Tarantino film student lol. The ONLY reason he moved on from it cause then it would also paint him as a suspect 😂
When this movie was being filmed, the script got leaked online. So Kevin Williamson and company had to act fast. The killers had to be switched up because the script identified who they were. Wes Craven and team were under a lot of pressure to get this film done to meet its release deadline. Considering how it all went down, they did a pretty good job of it. The new script had several different endings at one point to avoid any repeats of online spoilers. You guys definitely need to watch ALL the films. Scream 3 in my opinion is the weakest. But it’s still entertaining. You will see how these movies evolve based off of those eras in time.
To be fair... I'm not sure if this is true or not, but if I remember right, I think I remember them saying that Mickey was never going to be the killer. It's just that someone leaked that the killer was going to be Sydney's roommate, Hallie, and they changed it at the last minute so that the ending wouldn't be known to everyone before the movie even came out.
I was in high school when Scream 2 came out. LOL, I'm still salty about them killing off Randy. Yes Sidney (Neve Campbell) was in the Craft as well. She played Bonnie. The chick with the burn scars on her body.
#1. I *loved* witnessing Zuff get an _extremely_ rare W when it comes to him correctly identifying an actor/actress when he spotted Jada Pinkett Smith! It’s been a looooong time comin’, bud! lol. So good for you!! #2. I really, *really* hope that you fellas are gonna react to *all* of the Scream films as it’s my all-time-favorite franchise! While some of the movies are _certainly_ better than others, I genuinely *love* every single one of them! Most people consider Scream 3 to be the weakest in the franchise (Due to a few different reasons it’s much more comedy than it is horror.) but it’s still soooo much damn fun! And Scream 6 is actually one of my favorites out of all of them, which is *WILD* to me considering the fact that it’s the sixth film in the franchise and was released 27 years after the original! I also *love* watching you guys’ reactions to everything (Y’all are a *huge* reason as to why I gave Derry Girls a chance and then ended up binging the entire series in one day. lol.) so I would be *thrilled* to experience _all_ of the Scream films with you boys!! (This is actually my 3rd or 4th time rewatching this video, even though it’s my first time commenting on it, so I could *definitely* use some more Scream content from you guys to enjoy!) 🤞🏻 #3. YES! Neve Campbell (Sidney) _was,_ in fact, in The Craft. She played Bonnie, the one with all of the scars on her back who became a total hottie once they were removed via (mainly) magic. (I mean, _duh,_ just freaking look at Neve Campbell. I’m gay as gay can be but I can tell ya that she’s a stone cold fox! lol.) #4. Zuff, I think that you’re GREAT, but you shut your wh*re mouth when it comes to the car scene. lol. Yes, the girls make several stupid AF decisions but I just *love* how tense it is! 😊 #5. And, finally, I’m so, _so,_ sorry for rambling on like an asshole! lol. I’m a bit stoney bologna due to puffing on a bit of the devil’s lettuce, oil style via my computer doobie. lol. *My bad!!!* Thanks for all of the dope AF content that you boys absolutely *spoil* us with!! Sarah Michelle Gellar didn’t even read the script beforehand. She was so excited to get a chance to work with Wes Craven that she went in completely blind.
Y’all were so stressed compared to 3 & 4 (watching these Screams backwards)! 😂❤ The tension in this one is top tier. Between the studio scene and the car scene.

This is definitely a franchise you should continue on the channel..
So glad y’all did the 2nd one. Pls keep reacting to them they only get better.
Pls keep going!! Not all of them are gems but every few hit gold
IVE WAITED FOR THIS ONE IM SO HAPPY
To be fair... I'm not sure if this is true or not, but if I remember right, I think I remember them saying that Mickey was never going to be the killer. It's just that someone leaked that the killer was going to be Sydney's roommate, Hallie, and they changed it at the last minute so that the ending wouldn't be known to everyone before the movie even came out.
Correct, in the original script Hallie and Derek were going to be the killers.
I was in high school when Scream 2 came out. LOL, I'm still salty about them killing off Randy. Yes Sidney (Neve Campbell) was in the Craft as well. She played Bonnie. The chick with the burn scars on her body.
Do you ever thought about watching Daisy Jones and the Six? I think you guys will enjoy the songs and also the drama
Yayyyy! I was waiting for the continuation of this franchise 💓
(This is actually my 3rd or 4th time rewatching this video, even though it’s my first time commenting on it, so I could *definitely* use some more Scream content from you guys to enjoy!) 🤞🏻
#3. YES! Neve Campbell (Sidney) _was,_ in fact, in The Craft. She played Bonnie, the one with all of the scars on her back who became a total hottie once they were removed via (mainly) magic. (I mean, _duh,_ just freaking look at Neve Campbell. I’m gay as gay can be but I can tell ya that she’s a stone cold fox! lol.)
#4. Zuff, I think that you’re GREAT, but you shut your wh*re mouth when it comes to the car scene. lol. Yes, the girls make several stupid AF decisions but I just *love* how tense it is! 😊
#5. And, finally, I’m so, _so,_ sorry for rambling on like an asshole! lol. I’m a bit stoney bologna due to puffing on a bit of the devil’s lettuce, oil style via my computer doobie. lol. *My bad!!!*
Thanks for all of the dope AF content that you boys absolutely *spoil* us with!! Y’all are the best!
Yes, please watch to the whole Scream franchise 🙏🏻 These movies are full of shocking scenes amazing to react ❤
You may remember Sidney’s boyfriend Jerry O’Connell as a younger actor. He was the husky kid in STAND BY ME.
Omega Beta Zeta! 😁 I had this whole movie memorized when I was a kid lol. I seriously had an IV drip of this movie on repeat my whole adolescence. Even now, at random moments, I'll be like, "YOU DONT KNOW WHAT IT IS TO BE A MOTHER!" lmao.. my Mrs. Loomis is on point -- even tho I don't got any kids 🤣. But another great reaction! I hope you guys do the rest!!
omfg yay. definitely check out the rest, oh no ur randy suspicions!!! yes she was bonnie in the craft. also if she unmasked him while she was still in the car he could wake up and kill her
KEEP THE SERIES GOING 😭 it gets so much better 4-6 (4 is the best imo)
4 and 6 are my personal faves too haha 😅
Gale and Sidney are such mothers.
please continue the franchise!!
YES SYDNEY WAS IN THE CRAFT
Sarah Michelle Gellar didn’t even read the script beforehand. She was so excited to get a chance to work with Wes Craven that she went in completely blind.
OMG YALL ARE BACK ON THE SCREAM FRANCHISE AFTER A YEAR😭not complaining tho
Keep the scream franchise going don’t make us wait another year for scream 3 😂
Y’all were so stressed compared to 3 & 4 (watching these Screams backwards)! 😂❤
The tension in this one is top tier. Between the studio scene and the car scene.
You've gotta do em all now that you watched the second one 😂
This movie introduced the "Dewey theme" music, I still haven't forgot.
Please do the rest of them!!! They're so good!
Ayo like I said I spend way too much time on UA-cam lol was watching your attorney woo reactions when this popped up. Excited to watch this in the morning ✌🏼
Also hi rob 🤭
You guys are so invested! I’m so excited for you to see the rest of the series🎉🎉🎉
Please continue with the Scream franchise. Scream 6 was awesome.
pls watch them all, the 4th is my favorite
Loved the reaction boys. This is one of my favorites out of fhr franchise. Zuff is the man, guessed half of the killings. Well done
yess pls continue the series
My order of yhe movies is: 1,2,4,3,6,5.
I really do enjoy the new films, but at this point, no-one makes a Scream movie better than Wes Craven.
Buffy wanted to be in the movie but because she was doing the buffy tv series at the same time she had scheduling conflicts. So she had to do a super small part. That’s why she died so soon
Her name is Sarah Michelle Gellar.
@@susanberrier5727 obviously. But Zach called her buffy. I figured the way they would recognise her the quickest is to call her by what he did… or do you think you know everything people are writing down?
@Nicole McCauley that's fine that he called her that. But you could've informed them of her actual name. You know, to educate people. But whatevs.
@@susanberrier5727 because that’s my job?
FYI Tatum (garage door death) was Dewey’s sister
Please continue! I adore this franchise, Scream is my favorite horror movie of all time and I love the sequels!
In the original script it was gonna be 3 killers. The BFF, the boyfriend, and mrs Loomis. The script got leaked so they changed the killers up some
Love the Scream Franchise! Glad you guys are doing them
