    Breakfast looks yummy! I’ll be over in 10! 😂 Those lil babies are just so cute. Summer no one wants to eat. We do the same thing, wander through the garden and eat! Sometimes I make dinner for lunch and get the big meal out of the way. Nice in summer.

    Loved the mix of a bit of garden, a bit of cooking, a bit of preservation, and then some happy goat time too. My brother loves broccoli too! Haha. Both breakfast and dinner looked delicious! Thank you for sharing, Heather.

    Enjoyable video, thanks for sharing! But your description with Nefarious says it's Tempest with him... It's her younger sister, Stormy. LOL At any rate, I'm sure once Havoc gets over the lush food (and it's no longer "new", he's sure to notice any of the does in heat and you might have another indicator that someone is ready for a boyfriend. I think this is a wonderful arrangement that allows the bucks to have more space to graze and forage and might reduce any aggressive tendencies that we know can happen when they're a little "too cooped up".

    We love dutch babies here! I do use duck and goose eggs, but I bake them in cast iron pans, so the sides are higher. My recipe I had found was half of your single recipe and I triple that. The extra large skillet and a regular size fit the three perfectly. I need another of the big one.

    Thanks for talking about your goat fencing. I was wondering how you managed to keep your fencing so flexible, as goat are absolute escape artists, and it sometimes seems anything but reinforced 15ft concrete walls won't keep them in.
    I enjoy these mishmash videos. You do a really nice job in editing them to keep the pacing without it feeling frantic.

      SO FAR we have only ever had one goat escape a fence that wasn't a baby wiggling through and she jumped our round pen that havoc is in right now. She did not appreciate being separated from the girl herd!

    I love todays video!! I was slightly sad you didnt show the kitchen sink...😂😂. I think Margie is so pretty. I am sure she warmed up quickly. I do sourdough discard dutch babies in an iron skillet in the oven. Usually with apples in it. We really like them. I love your content and your style. You are doing such a great job with your family and your farm. I am so proud of you Heather. ❤❤ Aunt Beth

    Does the freeze dryer use alot of power, raising your electric bill? I've never heard anyone talk about the cost of running one.

    • @SageandStoneHomestead
      @SageandStoneHomestead  4 місяці тому +1

      It costs about $3 to run a larger batch. The mushrooms take less than a day so it's cheaper for sure. We don't notice any kid of price hike since we are paying to run multiple freezers through summer.

    Hi Heather. I have a question about your Miller for your goats. Do you have to be there when the Miller is done. Or if you had more than one Miller and other goats, would it be a problem to get to it 5 - 10 after it is done?
    Thank you Heather. Have a great day.

    It’s amazing what a bottle will do for skiddish kids! Winnie girl wants to be right with you now. Havoc and Mochi will enjoy all the new space! I’ve heard goats can get bred through fences but have never been able to wrap my head around how that’s possible lol. Your bread always looks so good!!
