I really like how opponent stayed a bit longer - gave you more time to explain everything that happened in the game and what could have been improved. I think it was the perfect length for a gg considering the circumstances of meeting Viper at low elo.
you should make this a 4v4 series as well with the GL boys and see how far you could get there, would be a really fun watch.

As a 1k2 player with 60 eAPM, this amazing to watch, I should stop clicking and start thinking
Starting with no actions is extremely limiting. The beginning is always a big burst of actions to start setting everything up. So 10 actions at start must be kept. Probably even raise the banking to 15 because Viper is constantly at 0.
Agreed, but I'd say the bank is good enough at 10. If Viper has trouble at the start because of that, then it's an accurate approximation of the average player. That's the point.
10 is fine, this is the purpose of this challenge to not have enough actions
@@karolpiqlHe will still run out of actions with 15. It's just that he can do more in bursts.
Would be nice to see a matchup between the LimitedViper and TheLefty.

I love how this also makes you play like a "beginner" in some sense. As in, when you are attacking you have no APM to do your eco which resonates so much

The average is significantlyu lower than 60. I think start with 10 and let it bank up to 15 is better and more realistic.
I feel like this series will help you be able to make better micro choices for when you're playing without the mod. Good test of ability and knowledge.

I think it would be very interesting for you to just get 60 actions to start with and an additional 60 every minute. That would allow for you to do some micro, but it would be very costly if you dropped yourself down to 0 with, say, 20 seconds left until the next burst of available actions. Something to consider, I think it might be even more fun to watch, since it changes the feeling of punishment for going too high and involves more personal patience rather than mechanical restraint.
10 every 10 seconds would be better :P would be too painful to sit and do nothing for 30 seconds lol
Interesting perhaps but I think this is more accurate for making him control like an average player, which is the goal.
@@Mathayas_ to me, this unnaturaly flattens the apm curve, not allowing any natural apm spikes every beginner does. let's see when first 1400 oppo with a mangonel shows up..
@@MemphiskoBut being forced to do nothing for 20 seconds potentially does not limit it 'unnaturally'? I think this way is the only way to get as close to normal as possible with a limit.
@@MemphiskoHaha that's what I keep saying and people are like, nah decision making and skill will save the day. There's only so much that can do before speed just overcomes it.

I don't really think this game/level is as much decision making as it is just build order/execution.
I'm like 1000 ELO and I can beat this level of player if I can make it past where the build order matters for the initial power spike. That's when the decision making will actually show.
decisions will be more and more imporant the higher elo he gets. that's why. first games were easy cause oppos didn't know the basic mechanics, this elo he has better build orders then them, and higher opps will have similar BOs so decision making will be crucial. but i think this is too limiting to achieve high elo. let's see!
Yeah, and one can only play so efficiently before the need for flexibility takes over. How do people play that slowly...

Hang on, I said "if you hit a wall". You haven't hit a wall yet. Go lower the APM to 45 for the time being, in exchange for no longer counting the modifier keys.
Maybe change the name to something without "viper"? To not scare low elo opponents and make them panic

Suggestion: Would it be ok if the system allows viper to have more than 10 APM per 10 seconds, but there will be penalty, say lower APM recovery rate in the next 10 seconds? Say, viper have clicked 15 times in 10 seconds, then for the next 10 seconds, the recovery rate would be 0.5 per second instead of one? not sure if it is too complicated, just personally feel like it becomes a training and it gives some flexibility to the game play as well
Viper with 10 APM reaches 1200. I cant get It with 60... Maybe i should to retire... 😢
He has 60apm. the 10 is how many actions he has saved.

This would be really awesome to see just a little less aggressively limited. More to the level of an average player, which I think is faster than 60 APM
I really like these LimitedViper videos. Have u ever considered going custom matches with people in this setup instead of only ranked? Tbh, even though you'll probably kick my ass even with these limitations, I would love to play against you on Arena since it's my main map. Btw, I'm 838 elo, so no way I'm gonna win. Still, it could be fun, and I'm sure there are others who think the same way.
There is no way Viper gets even close to 2k ELO. Nowadays, even 1300s play decent and their apm is way higher than 10 actions per min.

I'm pretty sure there are faster players than Daut, who nevertheless couldn't beat him -- there's more to this than speed, and 60 APM is not _completely horrible_ anyway. But yeah, 2k _is_ a tall order still. On a side note, I think Daut would do very well in this challenge (unironically).
@@danieltoth9742 60 clicks per minute is closer to 20-30 actions per minute. I am not sure if we count apm correctly. I am 1250 ELO player and I do much higher apm than LimitedViper.
@@omnizsk Fair point. We'll see how far Viper can push this. 2k is probably a bit overambitious, but he still has a good bit of momentum, it seems. He might have low APM, but he's still the Viper in every other metric.
This is a really good episode to tell how to controlling aechers when you're slower and how to take good engages
