ESPN kept her cause the left wing white hating black liberal doesnt go over well with us. and malika isnt that. same with sage steele. we like black conservatives. in fact, many of us feel the dog whistle is when black liberals say they dont like black conservatives...what they are really saying is i dont like white people. think DL hugely etc. other bigots like him. ESPN executives are not conservative....they know most of america is and they need good ratings to keep their job. fact.

Yeah, no SHIT…she’s on *some* sort of agenda. Bringing up people’s dirty laundry over and over again cause SHE has some sort of personal issue with it. She’s petty, vindictive, unprofessional and immoral on top of that. Not to mention two-faced (publishing that article about Giannis and then GOING TO ASK THIS MAN A QUESTION NOT LONG AFTERWARDS) and defamatory. I do honestly think at this point that she’s got SOMETHING against black men in general. Likely some past trauma and she’s handling it immaturely and incorrectly by displacing that trauma against other people.

I don’t think Jalen Rose needed to apologize but the situation didn’t need for her to be public. He was a public figure that did something against team rules and if he’s gonna get punished then some info needs to get out as to why. Her name and info is not really important to the matter. It’s a private matter that shouldn’t be punished that severely and yes she plays a part in this but having her name out in the public doesn’t do anyone any good but cause her harassment.
He is definitely put in a bad light and will have that stain on him for a while or the length of his career, but he’s a major public figure in the organization, she may work for the org but unless she was super high in the org chart than her info involving a consensual relationship doesn’t need to be made public

This video is an Instant Classic. It is very detailed orientated, and touches on the most egregious, on air attacks of former NBA players, current League coaches, sports journalist show hosts and newly drafted players into the League. Not only is her intent to demean, discredit and vilify all the parties mentioned in this piece, but has given her a national/global platform for which she can strategically use to destroy their abilities to gain endorsements and build their brands, because in the case of second overall NBA draft pick, Brandon Miller, she chose to single him and his family out, on the biggest night of their lives, with her incendiary remarks at the draft. I am extremely impressed with how Giannis handled the situation, and are imploring and encouraging ALL NBA PLAYERS TO DO THE SAME. Further, I am requesting that the Players Association put a slush fund in place, in the event the League imposes a fine related to (her) media availability, and refuse interviews.

Malika Andrews is a trend we see in sports nowadays where the media company will hire usually a biracial woman to fill diversity quotas. And when they get there use them to input negative takes and opinions on Black (male) athletes that would otherwise be seen as racist or unacceptable if it were to come from a white presenter. Another example is Naomi Schiff.

The difference between Udoka and the woman he had a sexual relationship with is huge--much different position, profile and responsibility to the organization. No one is saying women can do no wrong. But you're talking like a misogynist who is always trying to excuse men who take advantage of their position of power because some woman was a "willing" participant. That's often, but not always, much more complex than you make it seem.

But that age demographic is between around 16-24, and as ESPN will soon find out through ratings, that is not their primary base. After that age frame, adolescent thinking tends to leave the male brain. We think more clearly. We realize that women who look like Malika are literally everywhere. And most importantly we realize that no matter a woman’s physical appearance, if her demeanor and disposition is ugly then SHE is ugly. And as their ratings begin to tank because they sacrificed real NBA reporting talent and ex players for this self hating misfit, hopefully they realize they need to make better hiring/firing decisions in the future.

I find Malika Andrews to be an annoying and egotistical presence on NBA coverage. She makes the content feel watered down as if the NBA is some kind of boys club where everyone is buddy-buddy, and she owns the entire league and network.
In the past, the NBA had a more "tenacity and a slick demeanor" to it, which is still captured through the TNT crew. However, Malika tries to make the league young, soft, and like a boys & girls club.
I want to hear from the old heads with the ACTUAL wisdom and experience to speak about the game. I want to hear from JJ Reddick, Jamal Crawford, Vince Carter, Jeff Van Gundy, and SVG. These people know the game inside and out, and they can provide CREDIBLE insights that Malika simply cannot. But she carries herself like she is the most qualified to speak to any player and say whatever she wants. Like, lady, you were hired initially because you had a somewhat pretty face and used the victim-race card to beat your competition; stop the ego.

I won't argue with you at all about Malika, but half the people you listed in your last paragraph are not good media personalities in the slightest. I LOVED Vince Carter as a basketball player, but he damn near stutters when he speaks in front of the camera, that's how unsure he is; Jamal Crawford was also a great player, but when he's on NBA on TNT, you can clearly see what a black hole of charisma he is compared to Barkley, Shaq or EVEN Kenny Smith. Not every former player or coach can be a great analyst / television personality. That's why journalism is taught at universities all around the world and people like Charles Barkley are a rarity.

If you are truly listening, she knows basketball. But, she allows the analysts to do their job!

To be truthful and always express knowledge to the public, to increase critical thinking and to leave you with important questions. She never does that and the fact that she is “Primetime” news on ESPN, really downgrades the industry. But ESPN has full of journalists in a similar nature. Damn! What an agenda you got homie. Andrews, a woman of color herself, reporting on athletes associated criminal acts makes her a racist?? I mean every news outlet was reporting the Celtics firing of Udoka and mentioning the affair. Common knowledge. Then you got Brandon Miller.... As a Portlander and Blazers fan, I'm so glad Charlotte and their idiot former owner MJ took him and left us Scoot. Scoot is a natural leader while Miller has questions about his character. If I had inadvertently transported a firearm to a friend who then murdered an innocent person with it, I would express constant remorse for the victim and her family. It would F with my head (even if I was found innocent). I never saw that from Miller. So fair game for any journalist to report that. A top NBA prospect delivering murder weapon, even if not found criminally negligent is news... Not racism.
