Bruh Obi Wan acting like he's never committed any war crimes lmao
So where did Cody saved Kenobi in particular?
Ironically, Sir Alec Guinness, the first to play Obiwan Kenobi, starred in the classic film “Bridge Over the River Kwai.” It was about WW2 prisoners of war who were ordered by an enemy commander to build a bridge.
Grevious to Obi-Wan: “You will die”
Ironic
POWs (clones of a man who is a New Zealander and a British man leading them) being forced to build a bridge for the enemy? Something smells like the River Khwae here.
Side note: Alec Guinness who played Ben Kenobi was also in the film Bridge Over the River Kwai as a British Officer.
I think I remember that movie!
@@saltygumballs2621 Yeah it's a pretty damn good movie.
"Bridge on the River Kwai" was exactly the vibes I was getting here...although the movie's plot was subverted by Obi-Wan being Obi-Wan. Snow gear was fun to see too.
I like the art style, reminds me of CW 2003
It reminds me of a mix of CW 2003 and CW 2009
Looks more like the cgi one LOL
I'm confused. Why would one bridge keep the separatists off a planet if it could be built so quickly, and if, surely, they have... starships? Carriers? >~>
Yeah, that's what I was wondering. do the natives have AA weapons in the area? if not then what's keeping Grievous from just flying over the canyon?
@@superzilla784 I always assume the main reason for massive ground campaigns is because worlds have major orbital defenses they have to destroy before they can actually have full space superiority. Like anti orbital guns, planetary shields, ballistic missiles maybe some kind of really oped SAM turrets etc.
@@theempiredidnothingwrong3227 There are numerous reasons for ground battles
1: The enemy could have a shield covering their entire base from orbital strikes. these shields can withstand enemy bombardment for months, if not years. the Rebels at Hoth had a powerful shield and so the Empire had to go in on foot to disable the generators
2: The enemy could have a massive fleet guarding the planet. sometimes your forces could get stuck in orbit trying to wage through the enemy's wall of battleships. while this is happening, the enemy could be terrorizing the inhabitants down below or be setting up anti-ship weapons to shoot down your fleet. you'll need to secure a safe region and create and opening to get forces down planet side to fight the enemy forces already there. this is what happened during the Clone Wars during Kashyyyk. the CIS had a massive fleet in orbit blocking the Republic's entrance, and the Wookies on the planet were in danger. so they had to send in ground forces to safely resecure the planet
3: Attacking the enemy from orbit is too risky when the natives or a very important target to secure could be hit by your strike weapons. best example of this dozens of battles in WarHammer 40K. entire cities were lost just to kill a few enemies. say if you needed to rescue someone of great importance, but he's being held captive. how are you gonna get him back if you just destroyed the entire area he was in to kill his captors? welp, you lost the VIP, but atleast you didn't lose any troops
The list goes on and on. some channels say "It's more practical and costs less lives to just shoot at the enemy from the safety of your ships. ground battles are completely unnecessary" but there is much not being taken into account. there is always going to be a situation that requires men on the ground
As for why Grievous needed a bridge? I still have no idea. if it's because of wind conditions causing his ships to crash, how's he going to get off the planet? if AA weapons were involved, a much more understandable excuse why he couldn't fly
@@superzilla784 You may always need men on the ground but the tactics they used in the clone wars are behind tactics we use in wars since WW2 on much lower technology then starwars. And doesn't make a ton of sense as there's more history in starwars then human history yet its not until the galactic civil war when tactics changed but still aren't entirely sound. Furthermore once you establish air superiority or really space superiority its game over for the enemy on the conventional battlefield. Ground forces may go in to hold politically necessary areas, neutralize or sieze air fields, or disable shields etc. Not to mention air craft aren't entirely defenseless against anti air guns or SAM turrets there are countless examples during the Vietnam war of pilots completing sophisticated maneuvers to deduce the location of the SAM turret and destroy it with their own missiles. Of course this caused the defender to be more careful in concealing their position but such is war. And In a hostage situation large ground campaigns also aren't ideal the enemy might simply kill the VIP if they conclude they cant hold them before you can secure the area around them. Which is why real hostage situations or HVT missions in which you need the target alive require highly skilled special operations personnel to infiltrate the area and rescue or capture the VIP quickly then extract to a safe location. And you don't need to covenant style glass the entire planet if you have other objectives that mandate holding the planet. Precision air strikes are a thing that we do use to destroy very specific military targets and have gotten extremely skilled at it with out decimating the entire area. Like the whole reason the Taliban has to use guerrilla warfare is because if they fought in the open we would logically just destroy them from the air and even then once we deduce strong holds if there aren't civilians we still pretty much do that. There's no more clashing with enemy ground forces in huge formations on an open field like its pre WW2. Like when I say grand land campaigns I'm directly talking about how ground wars look alot like WW1 or even the Seven years war with giant armies clashing in the open as opposed to the Vietnam war with emphasis on small unit tactics combined with armored support and coordinated air strikes. With the defender resorting to a more hybrid form of warfare incorporating regular and irregular tactics and strategies which become more irregular as time goes on and they lose air superiority and switch to more regular if they aquire means or exhaust the enemies. And 40ks tactics are both irrational and rational they don't actually fight like they should which is explained in the lore for lack of carrying about how many guys they have to lose to complete an objective attrition being the dominant form. Yet you get groups like Gaunts Ghosts, the harkonini warhawks, scions and Death watch who do employ tactics and strategies that are actually logical and rational yet those are the exception. Furthermore I already mentioned ground defenses as perfect justification for having go planet side anyways. Think the covenant in halo they can't simply glass the planet because of mac cannons. Not once did I say the use of ground operations is entirely pointless and simply pointed out a reason they may not be able to fly over the bridge. Depending on positioning of anti air weapons and areas held by the Republic on that planet. Grievous may have had to put his base on the other side of that bridge and therefore needs to use it to move his ground forces to his objective. He can't get any closer with out republic air defenses causing more losses then he's willing to take. However that does not discount the fact there are still things that don't make alot of sense in regards to how the clone wars is fought and waged in general. So perhaps complaining about a bridge is pointless when people starve during a planetary blockade despite being able to grow food and eat the wild life around them.
The weaponry in Star Wars often far outdoes the defences. Small fighters have no shields, and the shields on capital ships run out extremely quickly. Also, a lot of vehicles used by the galactic republic could be used as anti air, such as the RX-200, AT-TE, every kind of cannon they made could easily take down any fighter.
I imagine that means establishing a ground base as the separatists, who use combat ai that tends to be quite awful compared to a human combatant, would be essential.
As grievous said
"This will be a fine addition to my collection"
This thing was Tiny why did Obi-Wan not decide to just levitated with the force on to the other side of the bridge
The whole comic is poorly written. Nothing about it makes sense
@@DiegoLuna-qf1bl if he would have done that the Natives would not been capable to distract General Grievous, so Obi wan would not get a Lightsaber that easily as he did without it. They proceed building a crappy bridge since the civillian native wouldnt need it. Then once finished Grievous would proceed as he did by commanding the troops to kill them. The natives would attack the droids who just are about to passed the bridge, the clones would try to help them, while Obi Wan would try to distract our favourite General if them all. Followed by that the bridge would crumble apart by the combined forces "overwight". Since the droids with theyre guns, the natives with theyre spear and other simple weapons + laser blasts flying everywhere.
So the bridge alongside the Clones, Seperatist Droids, and many natives would die. (With may or may not, some survivors)
Kenobi feeling a disturbance in the force (his companions die), + having no Lightsaber to fight with, stunned and in shock Obi Wan Kenobi, would persumably be striked down by Grievous.
Yes i did probably made a mistake somewhere but it maked it easier for me too follow the decisions being made in this Comics-Plot.
I hope i could help >:3
@@falkenschreiytmarc1926 yknow,he couldve just used the force to throw Grievous and the droids off the bridge
@Cultural Nationalist or just.Yknow. USE SHIPS TO FLY OVER
How the heck does 1 bridge have any impact on an interplanetary war?
If you can’t have supply lines then you can’t figjt
@@bunjeii9309 their supply lines come from space in a universe where most transports fly.
....so it’s not like they had transportation that could fly, right?
Probably s#it weather conditions for aerial combat with it being a mountainous area with blizzards and all that
Ya boy Kris- IKR
Anyone else wondering where the 1313 fan project went? He hasn’t posted an update on over a year now.
This comic is all over the place
This battle was basically the clone wars version of the battle of endor
Great comic but I'm confused on why do they need a bridge when they have airships? Like surely it will be more efficient just off by a ship to an area that you need to go drop off weapons then go.
Ah yes order 66 the massacre of the qubeys
HELLO THERE
That’s great that they blew up the bridge to save the natives and all that, but it’s not as if the separatists don’t have machines capable of flight. So I fail to see how much that really matters in the end.
Perhaps repuso lifts didn’t work there
If Star Wars have an equivalent of a SAM site or a triple A battery, then I think blowing up the bridge would make sense.
Me: See’s video that has to do with order 66
Also me: It’s showtime
WHAT
What is Caliban is the planet that you’re going to see the Mandalorian on with The child
Caliban is the home planet of the Lion and the Dark Angels
Me:Huh,why doesnt Obi wan Just lift the Fluff ball over?
Oooooh they built the bridge so they can travel permanently around as well
Obi wan:Destroys bridge
Me: **Visual confusion**
Need some orange snow trooper
2:35 kenobi could have just used the force
Is it wrong to think these are Snow Ewoks? but the difference between the two is these snowy versions are actually adorable!
Live footage of winter Ewoks
ORDER 66
“Mommy, that clone stole by blaster!”
What part was order 66 exactly
Couldn't obi wan just just the force to get him across the bridge?
Speedy Gonzales10 that’s what I was thinking
Who cares
So we're the droids attacked by frost ewoks? Lol the imperial weren't the only ones to have a humiliating defeat
What comic is this? I want to buy it but I don't know the name or issue number.

That Queby looks like a Pokémon
Obi wan looks epic
So obi wan can use the force to make an avalanche but can't force lift the qubeys over the small gap?
This made no sense.
Palpateen could’ve scored a huge victory doing order 66 a little early
So how did Cody save obi wan?seemed like qubeys did that
This was such a easy battle it was are plan the whole time
This comic is so good
To me looks like the battle on Endor but with snow
Why didnt Kenobi use the force in the first place? Grevious wasnt a force user afterall.
Snow Ewoks.
Where do I find these comics??
Where did Obi-Wan get saved by Cody?
Which Comic is this
Oh, I don't think so.
Wait...why do the separatists so badly need a bridge when they have speeders and stuff. Like, they dont want the planet solely bc they dont have a bridge at the end?
The whole comic is so poorly written that is doesn't make sense. This is the second time this comic is reviewed. Last time it was Grievous and Kenobi work together and he goes on rambling how they defeated grievous in one of the most boring and anti-climatic way possible.

Clone Savior!
“WAP”
Seriously?
Why do so many people think Cody hate Obi-Wan because of him executing Order 66? I mean Bly executed Order 66 and he had cared for Aayla.
That wasn't Cody's Faults, it was chips as executed order 66 by palpatine, who is one called All clones in all planets, including Cybertron where drift betrayed autobots. I don't think cody hates obi wan because he care about people.
@@isaacrebellion9893 I was gonna like your comment till you mentioned transformers

@@ricstormwolf yes
Yet obi wan couldve just thrown grievous with the force.
As a Dark Angel fan from Wh40k and seeing Caliban in star wars hmmm
Maybe the planet was never fully destroyed but moved through the warp to the star wars galaxy 🤔 😅
