Ridiculous Kickstarter rewards ? I feel like a digital copy of an 8000 page long webcomic sent with a physical copy of the game would fit, but that's not a pledger's reward, it's a reward for reaching 2.500.000$ total. That goal wasn't reached, even if they reached 2.485.000$ when the Kickstarter closed. (If you're interested in pledger's reward only, the last tier is "Your OC gets put into the aforementionned webcomic". 2 people got their rewards for two panels, the first shows them getting ready to attack a monster, the second shows them being blasted by that monster). That game is Hiveswap, a tie-in video game of one of the most infamous webcomics out there.
I had no idea about the Papyrus song, I figured you'd talk about the 2 kickstarter bosses. basically your OC would be turned into a real boss in game, these included Muffet and I'm sorry. considering how popular she's become it's hard to believe that cute little spider wasn't part of the game's vision from the beginning.

Here’s some unique kickstarter rewards: Shovel Knight: You appear as a painting in the hall of champions.** Mighty No. 9: You get an exclusive laser weapon. **look for the Game Grumps painting.
Pretty much all of the reward tiers for the Hiveswap kickstarter. My personal favorite is the two people who payed $10,000 to get their fan characters into the webcomic the game takes place in the same universe as: Homestuck. However, the next ($100,000) tier made it so that they would survive for more than one panel, which neither of the characters did. Whoops!
You guys are always talking down _Leisure Suit Larry._ I don't know if it's ironic or if you just don't get it. Larry was supposed to be a loser. Leisure suits had been out of style for fifteen years when it came out and were themselves a joke. The whole point of the game is that Larry is incredibly out of touch. It predates _Monkey Island_ by 3 or 4 years. It was a good game by the standards of the time. It was no _Leather Goddesses of Phobos,_ but it was good.
He's mostly referred to as Lord British because that's the name of the main Lord in Ultima. Also fun fact in the game Lord British is so absurdly powerful that not even the two most infamous "I win" items in the series can kill him, and one of them literally starts Armageddon and kills everyone except you and Lord British. You could kill him in the ninth game by feeding him a poisoned piece of toast. Thanks, EA.
I seen to remember that it was a big deal at the time when someone in Ultima Online figured out some way to kill Lord British during some in-game event.

Frog fractions 2!! One of the most bizzare random rollercoasters asked 500 dolars for a suporter to get a special character in one of his minigames, it turns out that he only can play that character and as soon as he presses the spacebar wins the round. Genius
This reminds me of how Monster Prom 2's kickstarter was offering up a Damien or Zoe body pillow as a reward. My friends and I almost pitched in together to get one.
Pillars of Eternity had a nice interesting concept, the highest tier gave you and your friend a party invitation with the Obsidian game devs, play the actual game with them, get a full tour of their offices and play a pen and paper game of your choice with Chris Avallone and co.(plus 10 copies of the game and whatnot)
You should've included the reward for the "Hiveswap act 1" kickstarter where you OC would appear in Homestuck but then instantly be killed. I don't remember the cost but it was a lot.
You don't do your research too well, do you ? Richard Garriott has both British and American citizenship and was born in Cambridge, England. Granted, to American parents, but still.
I remember going the magazine rack at the grocery store to get codes and "secrets" for the game I'd rented that weekend, as you did as a little kid in '94, and being disappointed that the only code for Shaq-Fu was a blood code. Then I used it and was even more disappointed. Go into the options menu at the title screen and while there, hit a,b,c,c,b,a, start on your Sega Genesis controller. The blood (this being perhaps during the height of Mortal Kombat popularity) was a teeny, tiny droplet of red-orange that would fall from your opponent's face when you hit them.

I recall the c64 game well! For being a repetitive, buggy game, was fun for short bursts!👍Where else could you risk death to the tunes of Old Mcdonald in the barn or Teddy Bears Picnic in the forest!😨😅
The Bed game wasn't the only Friday the 13 game at the time their was also one on the Commodore 64 and came out before the Nes game

Song: DO DO DOO DO DA DA DO *plays dumb song*
9:59 ~ How much to rummage around Jane's not-so-secret laboratory underneath the couch, for say 10 minutes?
You mentioned Undertale's kickstarter but did not mention the bonus where you could get your fantroll in the game
I dont know wheather to be angry or grateful
Jason is dead! But is he really? We're not telling!
Them later: *Stonks*
Therapist: Front facing papyrus isn't real. He can't hurt you.
Front facing papyrus:
I helped kickstart Shovel Knight and I chose the Dirt level. Yes, I did get some special Shovel Knight dirt (its mostly glitter and sand).
Here’s some unique kickstarter rewards:
Shovel Knight: You appear as a painting in the hall of champions.**
Mighty No.
$10k to read the spoiler list... something new has now been added to my 'stuff to do if I win the lottery' list
Why didn't you put the shovel Knight Kickstarter goal on here!you literally get signed dirt in a letter!
Shaq asking for money is like getting the flu shot without a needle. It’s pointless.
doctor disco well, yeah. Without the needle, it doesn’t have a point, which means it can’t penetrate your skin.
NeedyBoBeedy they should have made a joke about that
Seeing Shaq say "alright" immediately after Andy offers to let a fan give the spoilers line for 20,000$ gave me the wrong idea.
papyrus's cool song makes me think of papyrus being a psychopathic math teacher
It would be cool to read the spoiler list but Andy is just going to rant over it about something crazy like krampus
Thanks, EA.
The Sapphire Carbuncle The name Lord British for Garriott predates Ultima
I seen to remember that it was a big deal at the time when someone in Ultima Online figured out some way to kill Lord British during some in-game event.
You can also kill him by clicking on a loose brick above his head in one of the games.
I'd pledge to an OX kickstarter. You'd work your way through Andys salty mines while dodging Mikes exploding barrels so that Jane can't make you part of an experiment. The soundtrack is of course Ellens laughter and you play as a flamingo because flamingos never say die.
Toriel: dying
Me: *vibing*
Frog fractions 2!! One of the most bizzare random rollercoasters asked 500 dolars for a suporter to get a special character in one of his minigames, it turns out that he only can play that character and as soon as he presses the spacebar wins the round. Genius
This reminds me of how Monster Prom 2's kickstarter was offering up a Damien or Zoe body pillow as a reward. My friends and I almost pitched in together to get one.
Loved the humor and quirky comments in this video :P
All I’m saying is don’t hang out with Wes Keltner near train tracks. His mustache is awfully twirly like he frequently goes Muhahaha!
Don’t lie Undertale Fans. You came here for the Papyrus thumbnail.
Sooo papyrus’s cool song is a mixture of a helper purple wolf’s theme
You should've included the reward for the "Hiveswap act 1" kickstarter where you OC would appear in Homestuck but then instantly be killed. I don't remember the cost but it was a lot.
They stole it for a web comic video game that did the same thing years earlier
If you pledged any money at all to Mighty Number 9, you were rewarded with a deep sense of betrayal.
You don't do your research too well, do you ? Richard Garriott has both British and American citizenship and was born in Cambridge, England. Granted, to American parents, but still.
I'll pay £10,000 to read the spoiler list, but I don't want to take that kind of money to rezzed. Take a cheque Andy?
Mike i Would love too stand in the corner and say the spoiler warning "call me" :)
Side Note: Richard Garriot's trip to space also included a plug for his MMO "Tabula Rasa."
You underestimate the length people will go for a Bit
I wish I payed 32$ for undertale with just Papyrus's Cool Song
I remember going the magazine rack at the grocery store to get codes and "secrets" for the game I'd rented that weekend, as you did as a little kid in '94, and being disappointed that the only code for Shaq-Fu was a blood code. Then I used it and was even more disappointed. Go into the options menu at the title screen and while there, hit a,b,c,c,b,a, start on your Sega Genesis controller. The blood (this being perhaps during the height of Mortal Kombat popularity) was a teeny, tiny droplet of red-orange that would fall from your opponent's face when you hit them.
8-bit Friday the 13th Games were on the Spectrum, the C64 and Amstrad.
What about special Shovel Knight dirt?
I hope whomever is reading this that Andy and all goals you have happen! Getting through school finding a new job or like myself growing a small UA-cam channel I wish you all the best of luck!
The person who made the thumbnail is smart, putting papyrus in the thumbnail is gonna get the clicks.
Undertale £500 for a character which lead to muffet glyde and sosorry
If you ever do a video on good voice acting, please including DoW2: Retribution's Azariah Kyras. His speech before the final mission is both legendary and incredible.
Richard Garriot's home looks (vaugely) like the king's castle in the Ultima series. Well, it was 64-bit graphics.
"Papyrus's cool song" isn't the only Undertale kickstarter reward. There's also So Sorry.
We don't talk about that one.
Wasn’t muffet one of them too?
@@stellophiliac Yep
10:00 No need to worry Andy, I’ll read the spoiler warnings for free.
Boy this is making me want to go on kickstarter right now and look for the weirdest rewards for backing games! Maybe for a mere $33 I can make my own theme tune!
What about Larian's portrait of backers? They did it twice, once with the Kickstarter of Divinity: Original sin, and once with the sequel.
Regular would get an in-game portrait. Fork even more, and you'll receive an actual printed and framed version of it at your door.

Does Lord Britannia have an epic rattail or was that just some kind of sound/audio cable on his shoulder or something?
