Definitely picking this up. I've been using the original Fusion Pro for years. Can't say enough good things about Power A. Way better than the custom Scuf that I bought a few years ago. Great review. Subscribed and looking forward to more videos 😎👌
Thank you for that. If you liked the Fusion that much, you'll love the new one. It's been my daily driver since I got it and I've had no issues whatsoever. The only thing I recommend is to put stick caps on the thumbsticks, but that's just a personal preference.
I do too but it feels sluggish to me on my series x! Playing apex legends with it feels super slow to all my other controllers, have you updated the firmware on yours?
@RyanDench-lx6cx nah its awful like there's a centre deadzone the outer etc is 0 but the inner feels stronger then 10% even though the app itself is set to 0% on all deadzones, people been saying same thing as me on any video I've seen on it! I'm waiting on a firmware update or it goes back to the shop! Worst controller I've uses in a few years
I enjoyed and appreciate your review, but I’m pretty discouraged by how much of a downgrade this is over the V3 Pro. I had preordered one…but considering cancelling. I reviewed the V3 Pro, and love the 5th/6th programmable buttons on it, placement is better on those than any other I’ve tried. The fact that the Fusion Pro Wireless is missing those, the mechanical ABXY buttons, and worse trigger stops…man. I was hoping it would be essentially a copy/paste, just pricier due to Xbox wireless licensing.
Nice review, I was waiting for it to come out and waiting for a review here. It's 200 here in Australia, which is comparable to the elite 2. How does it do with COD MW3 and what game is that your playing, looks up my alley? Also, is it a quiet controller? I play in bed a lot in bed on my gaming pc next to my wife who goes to bed earlier than me and I would like something quieter than the xbox controller that came with my series x.
Thank you for that. Let's see if I can answer all your questions. First, I'm not a CoD player, so unfortunately I can't attest to how it plays in that case. Sorry about that. Second, the game I'm playing is Exoprimal. If you like dinosaurs, exosuits, and third person online shooters, you'll really like it. Third, it is quiter than the Series X standard controller, but not super quiet, especially the bumper buttons. I hope that helped out a bit.
Good review. Needed to see if they were mechanical buttons or not(hate em).I have the fusion pro 3 and i saw the pro wireless x fortnite is coming out soon so I'll pick that up.
Looks like a nice controller but I wish there were another variant with the RGB more like the OPS V3. I prefer the more suttle approach. This RGB design reminds me of those t-shirts that had the old English letters and wings from back in the day 😂🤣😜 Maybe they'll offer another version later. I'm so curious about Power A controllers. I'm loving my GameSir G7 HE and the Candy Con for the Switch. Btw I do like the mechanical buttons but I guess it's all personal preference like RGB 🙂 Keep up the great work and as always stay clean, stay safe and game on my brotha!
I do wonder why more companies make their controller batteries permanent because batteries degrade over time and if it’s stuck in the controller hassle to replace it
Just unboxed and threw on the charger right away so I can test it out. You're right about the ghost lighting, it's so sick! So much so that I actually decided that even if there was something about the controller I didn't care for too much I was gong to keep it just to show off the lighting to my friends, lol. I wanted to ask you, when you place the controller on the charger (which i Love the fact that it comes with an internal battery and a charger, so you don't have to keep removing batteries to charge them) the RGB lighting immediately turns on. This is how I first saw it. Is there any way that you know of to turn off the lighting while charging, because it seems like this would just increase the amount of time it takes to charge. Thanks for the review, although I was surprised you didn't cover/use the mappable buttons in your review. Do you not use those when you game? I am coming from the GameSir G7 SE and the only thing that was lacking was 2 more mappable buttons. Otherwise I think it is the best 3rd party controller for the Series X. Once I started using the back buttons for the first time on the GameSir and finally got used to using them, I am no longer able to play (fortnite) without them, and tbh I don't know how people play games like this without back buttons on their controller. The GameSir is my favorite controller to date, so I'm Really excited to try the Fusion. Have owned Fusions in the past and think they are great. The fact that I don't have to use Kontrol Freaks any more, 4 back buttons, all the controls on the back (or the app), and of course that super sick lighting, all make this a Pro controller at an amazing price. Oh yeah, and it's freaking wireless!! Thanks again for the review, and let me know if you know how to disable the lighting while charging.
Can I sync this controller to my Xbox series s and use it wirelessly without plugging on that usb adapter and if so how? Coming from PlayStation and I got this controller with it as a gift so I’m lost on why I can’t play it wirelessly without this goofy usb thing
Idk why PowerA gets so much hate online, legit the best controllers I’ve used outside of stock series x. It’s crazy how awful the premium controllers are from legacy 3rd party controller companies, or most elite style controllers in general. I’ve had multiple PowerAs including Fusion Pro 1 and 2, and had less issues with them by far for less than half the price of any similar controllers. Gamesir gets a lot of hype and I’ll probably try one but I’m convinced they are paying people to shill for them online.
You make it seem like PowerA has never been embroiled in any controversies in the past, lol. What about their use of heavy metal weights to make their controllers seem more premium than they actually are? Also, I don't think that ppl are blatantly shilling for Gamesir, as their controllers are widely popular, due to being very affordable and readily available. However, I did notice them posting multiple fake comments on their recent T3 Pro video to generate hype.
Go buy a gamesir. I promise you, you will not regret it. I just bought the G7 SE, best controller I've ever had. I've owned several series elite 2 and countless Xbox standard controllers. It's not just hype. My brother is the one that actually convinced me.
@@markhuber50 I’m planning on getting a kaleid as my next controller. I want to give them a shot before trying anything else because it’s really the only brand I haven’t tried. The price difference definitely helps as well, I play wired even on wireless capable controllers cuz I just don’t like any noticeable input delay so I don’t care too much about it.
If you want a PC controller by PowerA, get the OPS V3. It has everything you can want and it's cheaper. The Wolverine V3 is overpriced and mine came defective. The Tarantula is fantastic, but very different feature set.
This may be a stupid question, does anyone know how to pair this to the Xbox? My understanding it is wireless and the sync button at the top of the controller would directly pair to the Xbox. Do I need to buy a USB adapter for it to be wireless?
The V1 is not compatible with Xbox. This one comes with a charger stand, storage case, has RGB, and is 100% compatible and officially licensed for Xbox One and Series X/S. This is more on the level of the V3, excluding mecha tactile switches.
Literally sat in my basket now, would you say the sticks feel better than the wolverine v3, i cant tell whether my V3 feels like big Deadzones (even set to zero) or its the stiff sticks 🤷♂️
After using both the Wolverine and this, I definitely prefer the Fusion. I prefer the stick feel, especially in games that I have hundreds of hours in. I also had issues with the Wolverine straight out of the box and this has been perfect so far.
@RedBandanaGaming That's great to hear, I'll give it a try. The Wolverine has been frustrating me for the past few days. As you say in the video when you're so used to a game, you know how a controller should react and the V3 seems off to me even after the update. Appreciate the quick reply buddy! Great video left a like and sub!
I'm going to cover the PowerA Fusion Pro 4 wired tomorrow. I can give you a better answer then, but if you need an answer now, I'd say this or the OPS V3 are great options.
@@RedBandanaGamingok thank you also just wanted to make sure for fps games are power A controllers the best or if not one of best options to pick from?
@@RedBandanaGaming You have a good point there. My biggest issue are the thumbsticks, because I've already seen multiple complaints about them getting scratched on the ops v3 pro. This isn't the worst wireless pro controller for Xbox, that'd be the Turtle Beach Stealth Ultra, but it definitely isn't as good as the Victrix Pro BFG or the Wolverine V3 Pro imo.
I just bought the powerA ops v3 and the back button placement is terrible and it looks like these are in the same spot. If the back buttons were in a better place the controller would be goated.
That's definitely a personal preference. I like the button placement on here over others, such as the TB Stealth Ultra or Wolverine V3. That's why there are so many companies making different designs. Everyone is guaranteed to find a pro controller that fits their likings.
For that price they should have ditched the tacky RGB and added mechanical buttons and mouse click triggers. Mechanical buttons are objectively better than membrane buttons and last longer. The Vader 4 pro blows this thing away and is half the price.
Definitely not true. The RGB makes it stand out amongst the crowd. Mechanical buttons aren't as great or useful as some tend to believe. The Vader 4 Pro is good, but definitely falls short of the Fusion, since it has limited compatibility and does not work with Xbox One or Series X/S.
I think the RGB is very nice, but I don't see how PowerA couldn't have used better trigger stops and anti-friction rings. I'm sticking with my Wolverine V3 Pro, as the difference in price gets you a much better quality controller. But yeah, nothing tops the Vader 4 Pro for PC atm.
I've already seen multiple complaints on Amazon about the thumbsticks on the ops v3 pro getting scratched, and it looks like this controller uses the exact same design. Such a shame they didn't use good quality anti-friction rings, because that was one of the biggest issues with the Turtle Beach Stealth Ultra. Also, those trigger stops looking fairly underwhelming for a controller at this price. Very disappointed, but I'm hoping the Gamesir G7 Pro will be much better.
