Feel like a more constructive/useful comparison would be to compare the hp model against the 70/80 dollar VSYS D6L. Think we all know the 50 dollars one is gonna be trash
I've been using this for 3 years++. The functionality of the unit still works fine. The only problem i'm having now is the blurred/"frosted" lens cover (front and back). Couldn't really see a thing in the footage. I'm looking forward to just replace the cameras, but couldn't find any.
Thank you for your time investigating the bike 'dash cam' very interesting.. Yes, I would pay for a premium quality item every time, 9 times out of 10 a few weeks with the cheap solution will be like smoking wet cigarettes, a waste of time & money ( I prob would NOT buy HP though, I worked for them for a while ) My current favorite is the Thinkware M1 System, ( apols if you've already reviewed it this was my first visit to your channel) Any thoughts always appreciated. Gents : wishing you both health & happiness. MS
Hi Mike, thanks for taking the time to share your experience. We have yet to take a look at the Thinkware M1 system, but we would definitely check it out! Thanks for watching buddy! Hope you will enjoy the rest of our content as well!
@@tri333ple It's a pleasure, after doing more homework the innovv K5 looks fantastic, my only reservation being the snake ball of cables coming out of the unit/front facing camera & with my spyder F3 it would mean major surgery to the body work around the instrument cluster to hide it all, something I'm not happy doing so it now boils down to the M1 or the Innovv K3 ( I will update when & why Ive made that decision ) Thank you again, I look forward to catching up with you guys again soon.
The main thing is the convenience of not having to unload footage and press start and stop. Having a gopro on the helmet adds weight to the helmet and requires extra steps. But the gopro helmet lets you capture things that your on board cam might miss. Pros and cons 🙃
In our experience some people have the mirrors set up so they see a wider angle. some bikes have fixed mirror mountings so you won't be able to get that rear view like how most bikes do.

Hi Jason, thank you for watching! How the cameras behave depends on how you wire up it's power. If you tap onto the ignition then it'll turn off with the bike. Hope that helps!

Look at what you can get in a 200$ phone, the camera is 10x better than that 400$ hp trash. the 'dashcam' producers are just ripping us off. just buy a used phone and hit record and have that 10x picture quality.

I am using mount camera that capture FHD both front and reverse. DB-1 Pro does that at good price. Around $200 +/-.

Did you go into setup on the cheap cam and set the resolution? It might default to lower resolution until you change it...
I liked the cheap on, the old video aesthetic
That "hahaha bodoooo" was hilariously unexpected
Hahaha hope youve enjoyed the video bro! More to come

Don’t your bike mirrors allow u to see what or who is directly behind you? Mine does

I like the Moto Cam M550. Where can I order one and send to USA?
You could perhaps check with your local distributor and see if they have it!
@@tri333ple I look that up, no one sells that in the United States.

Thank you for watching. We are from Singapore. 😊
I usually got first a decent/cheap model, until I'm able to buy a better one so I'm not without backup if needed
Thanks for watching! hope the video helped!
Front and rear aio cam with sony starvis sensor is by far the best solution for motorbike, $200+ quality much better than hp one
Hi bro can you link any review or video about the camera you’re talking about?
It been a year, wonder you all still using the hp moto cam m550 or not. If yes, how is the review?
thought the screen would be on the dash of motorcycle
Hpm550 sux ass after few years. Keeps getting blur due to humidity

Yes that is jake!
I'll spend half or a quarter of that price for vsys cams with very good quality for a cheap price.
That cheap camera was a scam

Congrats making a dashcam review with almost no actual footage at all!
