not by much, according to MatAWG tests open bombay adds around 2km lock range, the biggest difference is flying sideways to enemy, it basicaly doubles the range you can be locked from
Recommendation: When you spawn in turn left or right when you're 15km away from the battlefield and start to climb to 4000 to 5000m, once you reach this altitude then you can go for your attack run. Make sure not to go any higher as you'll get the vaper trail which can give away your pos. Hope this helps :3

If you want advice for flying this thing. 1: take out all SPAA before killing others. 2: this aircraft is NOT stealth with bomb bay OPEN, close it after you drop your bomb. 3: you will die eventually, to an aircraft or a AA. 4: fly high, don’t stay super low, fly high but AVOID contrails. 5: final one, gun and IR AAA are your most dangerous foes, take them out first before anything else.
Tbh, even with the bombs sometimes not following the path they are meant to with the laser, and not being able to do anything against missiles. The games i've played with it have all turned out to get at least 1 kill. With an uptier to the 2s6 you wont make it. Same with being forced to go low with clouds. But getting a bomb off, going over the map, turn around and target a second target, drop and fly back to base. Its a pretty good system. And its so satisfying seeing all the aa with radars not being able to see you. Remember, stealth doesn't work with the bomb bay open. And keep your altitude.

The bombs showing through the plane is one of the new features activated by a shortcut key. Also you stealth is useless when bomb bay doors are open. Only open them when actually bombing.
This is why JDAMs are better, they don't track as good as paveways but still track and lock but are also self guiding to where you don't need a laser lock

I dont have US ground forces unlocked only air, so I guess I will skip this grind. Even though the plane is very cool, I wouldnt have the chance to use it. Maybe in air sim?
depends. If you want decent 1080p experience, I recommend something about 600€. If you plan to buy from used market, you can save around 200€. I would go for RTX 3060 or RX 7600 XT. For CPU is enough eveny Ryzen 5 5600X or Intel Core i5 13600K/12600K. But keep in mind, intel got some problems so setting up first BIOS CPU settings is recommended, other than that it's 2x more expensive than the Ryzen CPU. But if you have budget, you can get even ryzen 5 7600X.
For good results (usually) I fly my F-117 at 17,000ft, 18,000ft is when con trails start. Lock a target that ISN'T ALREADY SURRONDED BY FRIENDLYS, Keep bomb bay CLOSED until seconds before your drop. OPEN, DROP, CLOSE, GTFO!
The paveways dont work over 4 or 5 kilos but the MK83s do so use those instead. Or better yet don't use this aircraft as Gaijin got it so unbelievably wrong. Whats next are they going to take away all the U.S. rotary cannon's AP rounds? Oh thats right they already did that and then some!

you need to close your bomb bay as soon as your done with your bombs. its easier for the enemy to lock onto your open bomb bay, not the actual plane
