I swear these people in the comments don't actually play this game... Most of the AA vehicles at 10.0 have IR (heat-seeking) missiles. It doesn't matter how stealth your aircraft is, if you fly within 6km of them they can and will lock you with their IR missiles.
F-117 has exhaust covers and the heat signature should be fairly small compared to other planes, especially with afterburners. Yet somehow every Strela, Shilka or Ozelot lock it easier than most of the planes with Ozelot locking it at 6km (it often struggles to lock things at 3-4km). Theres no doubt that Gaijin not only fucked up the stealth capabilities but also the heat signature of F-117
Room temperature IQ comments saying that the bomb bay ruins your stealth when that is not even modeled in game its just not very good stealth and any semi modern, non 60s radar has no issues tracking it edit: as pointed out its also the fact that the stealth it has only really works head on, the big flat belly of it will not be stealth at all, no matter the state of the doors IR tracking from the ground also does not care about the "stealth" since its still hotter than the air aroundit

The problem is that F-117 is not a CAS, nor strategic bomber in a common sense. It has same problem as, say, Sturmtiger - it's made for missions that can't be performed in the game. For CAS it's too sluggish and poorly armed, for a bomber it has pathetic loadouts.
Stealth aircraft means they have a reduced radar cross section. Depending on that cross section will determine how close you can get to an enemy radar before you show up. It doesn’t mean you’re invisible

What they should have done and it’s like this in real life older anti air systems can’t lock on to it like real life but the more modern stuff can once again like res life there’s a reason it was so good through the 80s and 90s because where we were using it had old systems then we realized that as countries got more modern stuff it was becoming obsolete at its current br most anti air systems shouldn’t be able to lock it so easily also it’s main purpose was to evade anti air systems not even in the game and will never be in the game stationary stuff
