That's why I came here. I just spent a half hour trying to figure out where I'm suppose to loop that wire thingy then realized someone probably has a video....thank you sir for your help!
Just purchase one today in Atlanta, put it together in the Walmart parking lot, loaded up the two bikes we bought and rode 570 miles to Saint Louis, worked great! I mounted mine on the back of my pickup truck only thing I noticed was it was wobbly if you go over some really big bumps or potholes. Nice video you covered it well.
Just bought one of these and to say the printed instructions are close to worthless would be a compliment. Following the video made it easier except for the putting the hitch adapter on.
Had to refer to your video. Instructions that come with the rack are really poor. I put the hitch and receiver part on backwards and was racking my brain until I saw you put it on so easy. That's when I realized what I did. Thanks for the video.
Do you find that it sways a bit when driving? I’ve tightened my hitch but there is still a bit of play. The swaying makes me nervous, any idea how I can stop it?
Thanks! I have a metal adapter that might help. I haven't used it in this rack but it might be worth a try... www.amazon.com/dp/B077D25HQL?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Thanks for this video buddy mine is showing up today. Much appreciated. My one issue (potentially) with this rack is the weight bearing loads. You know this thing went through minimal R&D in China, and probaly literally NONE of the components were stress tested. Maybe I'm too anal but like I said I bought the rack so...here's hoping for the best!
It should if you have the bikes facing different directions... You can also adjust where wheels go. So you can have the clamping bar sit on deferent spots on the frames...
he's an older guy.. maybe even a "boomer". you're young. If he can figure it out and you can't figure out how to put THREE wires on... . then you got problems.
Looking at printed directions I had no idea how to put this thing together! Your video saved me. Thank you!
Great! Glad I could help 😃
Your video saved me too I had no idea how to put it together with the printed directions they were to complicated thank you so much

Same. Thanks so much for video.

Just picked this up from Walmart for some new Trek bikes, works great so far! Thanks for the video.
Glad I could help! 😀
Update on how it holds up a year later?

I know this is an older video but I'm so glad he's fast forward through the unboxing

Thanks for the video.
I feel better. I'm not the only one.
Is the rack easy to take off and put back on? I live in an area that it will get stolen so I need to take it off when I’m not using it.
This video saved me about 3 hours of frustration
Great! Glad I could help!
Ur video saved my life bro
Wow! I'm glad I could help 🤓
Can the bolt in the receiver hitch be replaced with a hitch pin?
No, I lost the gold pin and tried other ways and no luck yet. I need a replacement so I can use it again
Thank you much for recording this video. It helps me a lot.
Blessings

Glad I could help! 😀
What tool are needed and is their a certain size for the tool?
You saved me thank you the I instructions suck on this
It'd be nice to know which size socket wrenches you used.
Buy a socket set and you’ll have the right size
Very useful video thank you! Now that youve had it a while, do you think tire straps are required? Thanks!
Thanks!
I only use them on long trips…
@@paulstake oh! Ok thank you!!!
@@ema8909 Glad I could help! 😀
Great video, although I wanted to know more about when you threaded the wire through.
Good suggestion. I don't think it really mattered. As long as it's attached to something.
I think that the instructions showed the loop in the wire going with the carriage bolt fits into the frame. It works fairly well that way.@@paulstake
Will it fit a 2.6 I know it says up to 2.5 but 2.6 is not much bigger?
Big help, thanks!

Great review btw.

What if the top tube on both bikes is the same height? Would those tighten down things both tighten correctly and securely?
It should if you have the bikes facing different directions... You can also adjust where wheels go. So you can have the clamping bar sit on deferent spots on the frames...
Pictures were too small for me to use but once you got started it went together quickly for me as well
Does it come with the tools in the box?
Good question. I don't remember. If it didn't it needed very basic tools...
@@paulstake what tools were needed
it does not. you need a 17mm open end or deeper socket
What size socket wrench
17mm
THANK YOU!
Your welcome!!! 🤓
Can you open the back while rack on car or with bikes in rack on car?
no
yes with the bike off the rack, fold down the vertical tube to make clearance for tailgate.
Can it carry one 60 pound ebike
It should but I don't remember what the weight limit was...
80 lbs
@@paulstake
Yes the instructions in the box suck. Thanks for video
Glad I could help! 😀
How do you open trunk?
There is a way....
with the bike off the rack, fold down the vertical tube to make clearance for tailgate.
You never showed how to.put the wires on
The carriage bolt. put the wire on prior to putting the carriage bolt through the hole
Exactly the POS Walmart usually sells. Not a fan.
So far it's working great!
You did not show how to put the THREE wires on. 👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽
