1996-2022: great song
2023: *the pharaoh curse*
RETURN THE SLAB
@royhegarty6331 OR SUFFER MY CURSE
What's your offer
🕳️
Bro I came here to make a hades curse meme just to realize the lava level was the pharaoh curse music
Mom: the food isn’t hot
The food:
xD
Love it 😂
Hahahahaha nice one 😳👍🏻
"HAHAHAHAHAAAA!"
That’s some lethal lava right there
Miss the "HAHAHAHAHAAAA!" of Mario when falling into the lava. xD
Haha I can still hear it.
ryanw2ooo Me too
Finalstar Nostalgia.
Fuck I died while reading this x'D
Finalstar Ikr
this music plays when you step outside in the south of texas in the middle of the summer
I'm from South Texas and I've been in Arizona. It's a whole lot worse!
Yeah the valley is so hot but I got used to it from living there a long time.
I went there for summer vacation in 2019 and OML I NEED A WATER BUCKET WITH ME AT ALL TIMES!!
Djixebear never thought of it as touristy
Puro 956 alav cuuuhhhh
As a person who lives in Texas, I can confirm we hear this all of the time
Fr Man Every Year
As a person who visited Arizona I hear it there as well.
😂😂
As a person who's been living in Nevada their entire life, i can relate brother
What about northern deserts like Wyoming? I was there to visit a friend. I realize that visiting and living somewhere are two different things!
This track impresses me so much, 'cause not only does it fit both a desert and a lava environment, it also manages to sound so melancholic, despite being in a major key.
I didn’t realize it was in a major key. Now I can hear it
Holy shit it’s the expand song dude
desert? almost like in a setting with a pharaoh
major key?
this is actually modal music! feels like mixolydian mode to me.
This perfectly describes the borderline unbearable heat of the Sahara Desert.
We almost got that heat hear in Tri Cities. Our record is 118 degrees (48 degrees Celsius). And the music playing in my head switches to this theme at 120 degrees (49 degrees Celsius)
@@panosmosproductions3230 D A N G MATE THATS HOT
@@panosmosproductions3230 46 Celsius ? That's nothing dude, I'm from Mexicali and my city has reach 52 degrees
@@DARKRAI707 *laughs nervously in 42 C in June/July of Gobi Desert*
@@DARKRAI707 Dude, 52 degrees? That’s nothing. I live in Venus and we got 460 degrees Celsius in the winter.
This track is able to sound fitting in a lava lake and an egyptian desert at the same time. Good job to Nintendo for making the most use out of the game's limited soundtrack
I know right! What does it remind you most of? I think for me it’s Lethal Lava Land (I hope that’s not because of the title)
@@sweetoil2952 Definitely Lethal Lava Land for me, then again I think most people do that one first since the Sand Land one is sorta hidden compared to the Lava One which is the first painting you see in the basement
It doesn't fit the lava though.
That’s what lethal lava land is
@@sweetoil2952 For me it's a random pool of lava in the Sand level I don't know why or how but that's what it does make think of.
The fast-paced drums in the background always made me think of an unseen enemy with small-sized feet running everywhere, hence the sound
A miniature little bully running around would be hilarious
A little skull koopa with a knife LMAOOOO
I always used to think of it as the lava bubbling/boiling in the background 😂
When I was a child I was convinced that drum beat was yoshi hint and scoured all these levels for yoshi after 120 stars.
that moment when you open the 500 year old kings sealed tomb and get granted the curse of the pharaoh for you and the rest of your entire lineage until you reseal his tomb ‼️‼️😭😭
What 😢
depends on how bad the curse is, no more big toe, aight that’s alright, no more leg, take me home
that moment when you steal the mummy's treasure and kill your bloodline to enjoy the riches and don't get cursed at the same time
relatable

Wasn't expecting a ctcd reference
I never realised how awesome this track was until I listened to it properly
Indian Music is like that. Check out some more of it.
Sitar and Tabla go hard
@@highstimulation2497 Nahh, this is not indian.
Mom: Oh come on! The weather is not that hot!
The weather:
lol
Teacher: who is your favorite musician
Me: it's complicated
piss off Hahaha
😂😂
you can thank Koji Kondo for the absolute amazing work in the music
Koji Kondo?
Koji Kondo is one of my favorite musicians of all time.

UGH! I hate that Cartoon network show! It's scary and dark as fuck!!!
Stolen
Bruh, this level had me anxious as fuck
“Summer is the best season”
Average summer experience:
Still better than the winter
The Lethal Lava Land painting and the basement of Peach's castle always scared the shit outta me. Much scarier than the eel and the piano.
I thought the painting was badass
It is badass. But it was scary back then
It showed what you will get from the product
I thought all three of those things were fine, you know what scared me? The dire dire docks painting.
i think its an up close of those jumpy fire things
I liked (I still do) this level because of the Lava!!!
I was literally in tears, laughing when Mario took damage in the Lava!!!
Shining Blade lmao who not?
**Clears throat**
*_HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAA_*
Try getting your self wedged in between lava and one of those upside down pyimids
@@amonkey4707I hate the fact that the sound of an Italian man screaming in pain can be interpreted as laughter
Then just use present tense.
one time a bully trapped me in a corner and i couldn't get out and i cried about it for like 5 hours bc i didn't want to reset the game
that happened to me, so i just shot up the school.
Kachoodler Shekelburgh wowwww you're soooooo edgy man
how'd that happen?
I felt it was easier to bomb it instead.
mr crapucinno lmfao I was in the volcano when I got trapped in the corner I didn't want to reset the game either that's hilarious
Lethal Lava Land is quite stressful, since it's literally surrounded by fucking lava.
LittleMissTFP
I died like 5 times just because of the lava
Ok
Corncob Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

The Pharoah’s Curse is upon you!
Return. The. Slab.
Lethal Lava Land is one of the best levels in 3D platforming history :)
Uuuuuuuuuwaaaaaaaaaaooooooo
Damn
WHY DID I KNOW WHAT PART U WAS SAYIGN WITHOUT THE PART EVEN COMING UP NEXT
"AHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAA!"
I don't know if it's because my memories of associating these tracks with the levels or not, but this actually sounds like heat, Cool, Cool, Mountain sounds cold, and the Dire, Dire, Docks one sounds underwater. They all just sound so right for what they are 🤣
Im sure that was the intention......considering each of those tracks are used in 2 stages of similar themes each....jolly roger bay and dire dire docks for water.....lethal lava and shifting sand lands for heat...and cool cool mountain and snowmans land for snowy
thats how music works disphit
I never fail to scroll past comments and run into such piles of shit lmao. Why so mean?
The sand world.. 😩
Shifting Sandland
Free flying for 8 red coins was cancer.
Lethal Lava Land
Frustrating as fuck. So many bullshit that pushes you into the quicksand
Shifting sand land would be my band except all of our songs are just BANAWAH WAWAWEEEEERRRRR BANAWAH BANAWEEEEEEERRR DOOOWAAAADOOOWADODODO DOOOOOOOOOO

De seguro son mexicanos...
Yo tambien lo soy
Sounds oriental and Arabic
Nate Rivers yeah i agree it sounds kind of indian with those drums and sitars
aziz targhi bakkali yeaj or Indian. Like it either way
Nate Rivers me too one of the best songs in super mario 64 in my opinion
It's sound veeeery indian considering the sitar and drums sound. Anyways it's the most beautiful tune in the whole game.
@@aleksciekalski5115 its definitely the most unique. kudos to the ost
A very interesting theme, I remember hearing this in the Nether while playing the Minecraft Mario DLC Mashup. It's kinda fitting, being the Nether is quite literally the underworld, this theme depicts a dry and most likely bony land, love it.
ikr dude it really fits good for it while im mining for ancient debris and vibing to it at the same time :)
yes good memories of minecraft 3ds edition nether
is it weird that i meditate to this music
not at all
I do to.
same
@ *do you realize that you have sinned?*
No sirr im doing online school listening to this
In lava: "A-hahahahahahaaaaaa!"
In quicksand: "Whoaaaaaaaaaah!"

"What's yer offer?"
-Eustache
waiting for a Pharaoh's curse joke to appear in the comments
same, buddy
waiting right behind you
From Miitopia?
What's cool is that this theme perfectly matches both levels.
I remember leaving this song on while tripping on mushrooms.... Shit got real.
@Tyler Doi can confirm
Defs playing this on my next Acid trip☁️
sounds awesome! LOL
Im sure Mario did the same
@@pun_dimen 😂😂
The perfect song to listen to while walking on the Sahara desert.
Bro forgot to return the slab😭😭
This is the Music you hear when you decide to take a walk in India during the Summer months.
JESUS It's so damn hot here.
the pharaohs curse
The fact this mixes 2 frankly distinct environments together so well is pretty amazing. The harsh climate of a vast desert, with the mystical and mysterious nature of such expansive locales. And a volcano, this track has it all.
My mom : Turns the grill on
The grill : 0:00
Return the slab or suffer my curse
Nah
RETURN THE SLAB, OR FACE THE CONSEQUENCES
In my 17 years of life I never expected it to be a Mario song
AYO WE RETURNING THE SLAB WITH THIS ONE 🔥 🔥 🔥
Return the slab.
this song reminds me of some guy who keeps on telling people to return a slab
Imagine to smoke hookah to this
It be crazy
MΔKOᵒᶠᶠᶦᶜᶦᵃᶫ Lol!!
+MΔKOᵒᶠᶠᶦᶜᶦᵃᶫ Imagine to smoke opium to this :)
XD. True tho

slab-stealers when they get hit with the *bwooaaaah bwooaah bwooooh bwoaoaaah bwooaah bwooooh* and transition into yet another afflicted by the punishments of the pharaoh's curse
The beginning sounds so empty without the swooping sound of Mario entering in a somersault😂
if you don't listen to this everyday, you'll get the Pharaoh's curse
Honestly the 90s was the golden era of gaming, from Nintendo, PlayStation and PC, everything was an instant classic. Plus the games from the 90s had the best soundtrack.
The soundtrack: Slow, methodical
The percussion: *GROOVY*
I forgot to return to the slab 💀💀
you know it's a hot day when those bugs that buzz when it's hot out and this plays in the back of your mind
"Oh boy I sure do hope my house doesn't suddenly and randomly turn into sand"
The pharaoh's curse:
when the drugs are are are starting to affect
"Pharaoh's curse"😭☠️
This works very well while patrolling the Mojave wasteland
This is what plays in my head the second I step outside in the Floridian Summer
A lot of these songs are actually pretty good
0:35 is so nostalgic
Same to me

CURSE OF RA
You were right
PHARAOS CURSE RAAAAA
1996-2022: This song is so well made for both a lava and desert setting.
2023: WE RETURNING THE SLAB WITH THIS ONE!! 🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️🔥🔥🔥🔥
This song will play tomorrow in the UK
@MINECTRON the weather mate
I can hear this song in my head during the summer while I work
every time mario hits lava it sounds like he just heard a really funny joke
"HAHAHAHAHAAAAA" and then you survive with one quarter of health ;)
Oh boy it's so HOOOOOOT
We getting out of the pharaoh curse with his one 🗣️🗣️🔥🔥💯💯
yes, this is very much inspired by hindustani classical music (ravi shankar is a prime example). i see a few comments referencing george harrison which makes total sense, since he incorporated indian instrumentation into his own work
Pov You try to drink a bucket of water, but you remember you have
Phandoras as curse:
Pharaoh's cursed music
the nostalgia is real
This is probably the best 3D game
THE CURSE
My favourite two levels in the game! Both are very fair and are fun to play and replay. I'll happily play them many many times again.
i have childhood nostalgia of this game, but instead of being a millennial and playing it on an actual n64, it's me, a zoomer who played it on my grandmas craptop lol
The pharaohs curse is upon us
as much nostalgia i get and love i have of level lava land. the track is actual chaos
I remember after casually playing the game, I finally got to this level and hearing this eerie yet fast pacing music. I don’t remember if I ever got past this point since I kept falling off into the lava
every game with a desert level has music like this even pvz 2
Which one of y'all didn't returned the slab
this is why i rethink being excited for the summer
"Ha ha ha ha haaaaaaaaa" FUCK. -_-
the bullies in this level were difficult as a child I heard that laugh way more then I wish I did xD
as someone from the caribbean this is what we listen to everyday at 35/40 celsius
Europeans when the temperature goes above 30°c (86°f)
Yes, I do have the authority to say this, I'm European
1996: cool music
2023: the pharaoh's curse
Bro forgot to return the slab 🗣🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥💯💯‼️⁉️‼️

Outside:
As an Egyptian, I can comfirm that we’re cooked when we hear this track🔺
I can't unhear this thing just going "bruh" over and over.
I remember Mario screaming and holding his but ahhh good times
how it feels to go outside in a heat wave
