My 14 month old S21 ultra display got dead...I thought it can be replaced under warranty ( I have brought extended Warranty) but Samsung rejected the to replace under warranty due to very minor scratches around the charging port which may have cause while inserting charger pin. Due this minor issue I had to get my display changed by paying Rs. 19000/-. So I feel warranty just for name sake.

Screen costs are higher for other brands because unlike Samsung which manufactures its own screens, other brands purchase it from Samsung. Anway, kudos to samsung for having cheaper repair costs. The initial costs are high but repair costs are low. Most ridiculous was apple's back class. 40K for back glass ? Is this a fu..ing joke ? 40k to show off apple logo clearly ? I decided to wait for a few months hoping price might come down and to my surprise the price surged by 50% and the same display in June cost 18.5 after taxes and service charges.
Anyway I decided to get it fixed since there isn't any phone in this price range that can give me even 70% of this phone performance.

Tempered glass doesn't really protect your phone, it's hard and doesn't absorb any cracks. It only transfers the force to your phone's screen. Tempered glass is several times weaker than gorilla glass, a blow which won't harm your screen can shatter tempered glass. That's why people think that the tempered glass protects their screen because it breaks easily. The only use is to prevent fingerprints and scratches to the actual display. Better to get a case with a tall lip that ensures your phone screen isn't touching the ground when face down. Nothing you can do if your phone falls on uneven surface though.

This one's a rairty in today's world. Thanks @Beebom for revealing all these. This often is brushed aside while purchasing new phones and will obviously come in handy while making decisions. Phones like the S20 FE must exist in India, the plastic back, flagship performance, flagship camera, the SD Card slot and the beautiful screen makes sense. Plus the cost of the screen replacement is even better than the budget phones portrayed here. It's just 3.5k rupees from the Samsung service centre and this will always keep my nerves chilled and will not break my bank. I was lucky to side with it. I am surprised how pricey the things are like even the parts of a budget phones. They are simply not worth it. I'll stick to this as long as it can. When you need a display replacement, companies don’t replace “only” the display. They have pre-assembled parts like an entire phone frame with the display which they replace.
The front glass and display assembly of my OnePlus 7T separated from the phone. No cracks, just the display separated from the phone where the glue gave way and the ribbon connector shredded.
I went to a OnePlus service center aware that a display replacement would cost 12k. I wanted to check if they can salvage the existing display by just replacing the ribbon connector and gluing it back to the phone since it wasn’t broken but of coarse they don’t do that clearly for monetary gains. Long story short, they told me that the display comes along with the entire metal frame of my phone which is why it costs 12k because I’m paying for more parts than what I need.
This is why most repairs are expensive and wasteful in my opinion because in my case after the repair which I needed only for my front display, ended with me having a brand new phone externally except for the back glass.
Phone companies should stop combining the display (or other parts) with other components of the phone because it makes the end consumer pay more for what he/she needs and causes more wastage because we’re discarding some parts that actual work fine.

Currently iPhone 13 is priced around 70k and as said in the video screen + back glass replacement 27000+32000 = 59k. I think Iphone can reduce the cost of iPhone by using moderate glass black and samsung screens🤣🤣🤣just kidding obviously it won't do that. But I'm thankful that I bought s21fe recently

This video gives a crystal clear idea about some most important questions such as "after sales service cost". Truly a big step to give us such as informative video. This type of videos are underrated & no one talks about these.
Note: Just for information (don't take it wrongly); within this video, most of the time the heading "OFFICIAL PRICE" are shown as "OFFCIAL PRICE". Just an editorial error I think but it's catches my eyes so I think that I can mention this.
Again thanks for this type of video. We expect more in the future.
