This BARGE almost cost me my DJI DRONE (LOW BATTERY)

- Spent the day fishing next to a main channel where barges pass through a canal lock. I filmed a barge with my DJI Mavic Mini drone an ran out out battery before making it back in time. I had to find a suitable place to land and retrieve it. This was the first time I had to use the "Find My Drone" feature.

Some very nice Trout and nice to see a flounder make an appearnace. Would love to know what made that run and got off, looked like something big with that bend in the rod. I left some slack in the line after I got tangled up, I woulda loved to at least see it. Also, now I know I can at least land the drone somewhere on land and use the find my drone feature. Thanks Larry!
Dude, almost happened to me before. Was on low battery/red warning, and i get the drone right overhead and descending. All of a sudden it takes off full speed away from me. After few seconds i regain control and was able to fly it back to me right before it died. Heart was pumping like crazy the entire time😅
Ya man, flying over water adds a whole other element of risk for us. Its usually a fish getting my heart beating but this time it was from almost sinking a 500.00 drone. Glad you were able to get it back too, now I know I can always land it somewhere on dry ground, but open water I would be out of luck. Good luck out there!

Lol I got greedy. I actually have 3 batteries, but kept it flying on that one. Almost caught me
@@LaYakFishingI know that feeling. Sometimes when I’m at the dentist about to get another root canal I remind myself “you got greedy… you can’t go weeks without brushing idiot”
