CROSSWIND LANDINGS during a STORM at Düsseldorf - AIRBUS A380, Boeing 787 ... (4K)

- Wind speeds up to 40 knots caused some trouble today at Düsseldorf Airport. The pilots were able to show off their skills again. Especialy the wind gusts caused the planes to move around like light feathers in the wind but most pilots ended up with a perfect touchdown. Especialy the first Airbus A320 of S7 Airlines was moving around quite a lot but when the pilots touched the ground the Airbus was perfectly aligned with the runway.
It` s always a pleasure to watch the Airbus A380 land and take-off but whenever crosswinds are involved it` s even more impressive. The Emirates Airbus A380 performed a perfect crosswind approach and landing today.

It was surprised to me, seen an A320 in Sunexpress colours. Because of, Sunexpress fleet doesn't includes A320...after that I found some info, she was one five leased planes by Sunpexress from Avion Express (Latvia) for summer session.All the pilots were great about skill....hats off to all.
You sat that big baby down like you were sitting on a cloud of dream whip. AIRBUS A380 you made that look to easy.
All the landings look like the air crafts are VTOL type, they look like they are just floating down,
while in reality the touch down speeds could be around 160mph/200kmph. Catching the picture head on from the front gives
this impression, while the picture taken from the side will show the fast movement of the air craft on the run way too,
giving us the real picture on touch down.
One advantage of the head on video however is, it shows how the pilots keep an angle to compensate for the cross winds.
Hats off to all those tricky landings.

Do you mean A320 or A330, both look great but the 330 is my favourite of the two.

40 knots is ~ 20.6 meters per second. With such a side wind for most of the aircraft from the video landing is prohibited. It is interesting to know the real side wind)
It looks like the cross wind produces a lot of lift. The planes seem to almost be suspended in air.

Following. I felt what I now know must have been a crosswind landing in Las Vegas. There was obvious rocking and rolling and a firm landing, but it didn't feel scary. I'm not a nervous flyer though! I remember thinking that it must have been a challenging landing for the pilot.

Why does Düsseldorf have so many crosswind landings? Make a perpendicular runway.
Could someone tell me what plane was at 6:10 and the two aircraft afterwards. The first one seemed to have very beasty engines for a small craft; was it A321? The second one I recognised but forget the name of it. The third one is completely new to me.
The first one was a A320 Neo and the other one an embrea erj 170 or 190

Nabend zusammen, kann mir einer mal erklären, warum bei 3.59 der A380 wackelt wie ein Lämmerschwänzchen und 3 Sekunden später runter " Segelt" als ob beinahe nichts wäre?
Mir als Pilot würde der Arsch auf Grundeis gehen.

Der erste Teil des Anflug läuft im Zeitraffer. Ab 3.59 dann mit normaler Geschwindigkeit ;)
